| 3 | Microstructural Evolution and Mechanical Properties of Inconel 625 Alloy during Pulsed Plasma Arc Deposition Process显示文摘Pulsed plasma arc deposition(PPAD),which combines pulsed plasma cladding with rapid prototyping,is a promising technology for manufacturing near net shape components due to its superiority in cost and convenience of processing.In the present research,PPAD was successfully used to fabricate the Ni-based superalloy Inconel 625 components.The microstructures and mechanical properties of deposits were investigated by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),optical microscopy(OM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM) with energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS),microhardness and tensile testers.It was found that the as-deposited structure exhibited homogenous columnar dendrite structure,which grew epitaxially along the deposition direction.Moreover,some intermetallic phases such as Laves phase,minor MC(NbC, TiC) carbides and needle-likeδ-Ni_3Nb were observed in y-Ni matrix.Precipitation mechanism and distribution characteristics of these intermetallic phases in the as-deposited 625 alloy sample were analyzed.In order to evaluate the mechanical properties of the deposits,microhardness was measured at various location (including transverse plane and longitudinal plane).The results revealed hardness was in the range of 260—285 HV_(0.2).In particular,microhardness at the interface region between two adjacent deposited layers was slightly higher than that at other regions due to highly refined structure and the disperse distribution of Laves particles.Finally,the influence of precipitation phases and fabrication strategies on the tensile properties of the as-deposited samples was investigated.The failure modes of the tensile specimens were analyzed with fractography. | Fujia Xu Yaohui Lv Yuxin Liu Fengyuan Shu Peng He Binshi Xu | 2013 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2013,29,5: | 33 |

| 5 | The fractal measurement of experimental images of supersonic turbulent mixing layer显示文摘Flow visualization of supersonic mixing layer has been studied based on the high spatiotemporal resolution Nano-based Planar Laser Scattering(NPLS) method in SML-1 wind tunnel. The corresponding images distinctly reproduced the flow structure of laminar,transitional and turbulent region,with which the fractal measurement can be implemented. Two methods of measuring fractal dimension were introduced and compared. The fractal dimension of the transitional region and the fully developing turbulence region of supersonic mixing layer were measured based on the box-counting method. In the transitional region,the fractal dimension will increase with turbulent intensity. | 11 | Visualization of coherent structures in a supersonic flat-plate boundary layer显示文摘Flow in a flat-plate zero-pressure-gradient boundary layer at Mach 3 was visualized via nanoparticle-based planar laser scattering (NPLS). Coherent structures such as an individual hairpin vortex and hairpin packet were identified in the streamwise-wall-normal plane on the basis of the now accepted hairpin model. Λ-shaped vortices were found in a staggered pattern in the stream-wise-spanwise plane, which indicated H-type transition in the present experiments. This is the direct evidence (in the form of flow visualization) of such coherent structures in a supersonic boundary layer. | 12 | Deep Structural Framework and Genetic Analysis of Gold Concentration Areas in the Northwestern Jiaodong Peninsula, China: A New Understanding based on High-Resolution Reflective Seismic Survey显示文摘The gold concentration areas in the northwestern Jiaodong Peninsula constituted an important gold metallogenetic region in Eastern China during the Mesozoic. The deep geological bodies' texture characteristic is important for exploring the resources thoroughly and understanding the metallogenic process. The detailed textures were revealed using high-resolution seismic profiles through the three major ore-controlling structures-Sanshandao fault zone, Jiaojia fault zone and Zhaoping fault zone. This study aims to establish a deep structural framework of this area. Based on their formation mechanism, the fault structures developed in the area can be divided into regional and local fault structures. The structural styles are characterised by superimposing their compressional, strike-slip and extensional multi-stage activities. The crust is cut by vertical structures corresponding to a left-lateral strike-slip fault system on the surface. Nearby these structures are the arc-shape structures formed by multi-stage magma intrusions into the upper crust. Bounded by the Tancheng–Lujiang and Muping–Jimo fault zones, the current Jiaodong block, developed a series of NE-trending strike-slip fault systems, was probably formed by the assemblage of several obliquely aligned blocks. The intensive magmatism and hydrothermal activity between the blocks induced large-scale mineralisation. | 14 | Melatonin alleviates intervertebral disc degeneration by disrupting the IL-1β/NF-κB-NLRP3 inflammasome positive feedback loop显示文摘The inflammatory response is induced by the overexpression of inflammatory cytokines, mainly interleukin(IL)-1β, and is one of the main causes of intervertebral disc degeneration(IVDD). NLR pyrin domain containing 3(NLRP3) inflammasome activation is an important source of IL-1β. As an anti-inflammatory neuroendocrine hormone, melatonin plays various roles in different pathophysiological conditions. However, its roles in IVDD are still not well understood and require more examination. First, we demonstrated that melatonin delayed the progression of IVDD and relieved IVDD-related low back pain in a rat needle puncture IVDD model;moreover, NLRP3 inflammasome activation(NLRP3, p20, and IL-1β levels) was significantly upregulated in severely degenerated human discs and a rat IVDD model. Subsequently, an IL-1β/NF-κB-NLRP3 inflammasome activation positive feedback loop was found in nucleus pulposus(NP) cells that were treated with IL-1β. In these cells, expression of NLRP3 and p20 was significantly increased, NF-κB signaling was involved in this regulation, and mitochondrial reactive oxygen species(mt ROS)production increased. Furthermore, we found that melatonin disrupted the IL-1β/NF-κB-NLRP3 inflammasome activation positive feedback loop in vitro and in vivo. Melatonin treatment decreased NLRP3, p20, and IL-1β levels by inhibiting NF-κB signaling and downregulating mt ROS production. Finally, we showed that melatonin mediated the disruption of the positive feedback loop of IL-1β in vivo. In this study, we showed for the first time that IL-1β promotes its own expression by upregulating NLRP3 inflammasome activation. | 15 | Occurrence of perfluoroalkyl substances in matched human serum,urine,hair and nail显示文摘The purpose of this study was to determine perfluoroalkyl substances(PFASs) in human serum, urine, hair and nail from general populations, and to investigate the possibility for human urine, hair and nail used as the biomonitoring sample for PFASs exposure. We detected the concentrations of PFHx A, PFOA, PFNA, PFDA, PFUn DA, PFDo A, PFHx S and PFOS in 39 matched human serum, urine, hair and nail samples from Shenzhen in China. The detection frequency and the median level of PFOS were all higher than that of the other PFASs in four matrices. The median concentration of PFOS in serum, urine, hair, and nail were 9.24 ng/mL, 13.96 ng/L, 0.58 ng/g and 0.63 ng/g, respectively. | 17 | Study of density field measurement based on NPLS technique in supersonic flow显示文摘Due to the influence of shock wave and turbulence, supersonic density field exhibits strongly inhomogeneous and unsteady characteristics. Applying traditional density field measurement techniques to supersonic flows yields three problems: low spatiotemporal resolution, limitation of measuring 3D density field, and low signal to noise ratio (SNR). A new method based on Nano-based Planar Laser Scattering (NPLS) technique is proposed in this paper to measure supersonic density field. This method measures planar transient density field in 3D supersonic flow by calibrating the relationship between density and concentration of tracer particles, which would display the density fluctuation due to the influence of shock waves and vortexes. The application of this new method to density field measurement of supersonic optical bow cap is introduced in this paper, and the results reveal shock wave, turbulent boundary layer in the flow with the spatial resolution of 93.2 μm/pixel. | 18 | Sedimentary documents and Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) dating for formation of the present landform of the northern Ulan Buh Desert,northern China显示文摘GPR reflecting sections and core profiles revealed that sand dunes of the northern Ulan Buh Desert are overlying shallow lacustrine or palustrine sediments. Optical dating results of sediments from three core profiles indicate that the area of the northern Ulan Buh Desert was still covered by the shallow lake or marsh during 8.4-6.4 ka, and eolian sand started to accumulate since around 2 ka. Such a result supports the idea that the present desert landform of the northern Ulan Buh Desert started to form since 2 ka, which was likely a response to the desertification caused by ruin of the Han Dynasty and the large-scale abandonment of farming of the Han nationality.
