| 1 | Optimization of a fermented pumpkin-based beverage to improve Lactobacillus mali survival and-glucosidase inhibitory activity:A response surface methodology approach显示文摘The aim of this research was to develop an optimum fermentation and composition model for a new fermented pumpkin-based beverage with high probiotic survival and-glucosidase inhibitory activity.Relationship between fermentation temperature,inoculum and ingredient concentration with response variables(fermentation time at the fermentation endpoint pH 4.5,survival rate of Lactobacillus mali K8 in pumpkin-based beverage treated with simulated gastrointestinal tract enzyme fluids,-glucosidase inhibitory activity and sensory overall acceptability after 4 weeks of refrigerated storage)was investigated using response surface methodology.Optimal formulation was obtained at an approximation of 40%pumpkin puree concentration,8 Log CFU/mL inoculum and at 35℃.The product derived from this optimum formula reached the fermentation endpoint after 28.34±0.10 h and the quality change during 4 weeks storage was studied.The product achieved 88.56±0.67%of L.mali survival after treatment with simulated gastric and intestinal juices;demonstrated 95.89±0.30% α-glucosidase inhibitory activity,as well as scored 6.99±0.40 on sensory overall acceptability after 4 weeks of storage.These findings illustrated that the model is effective in improving probiotic survival and α-glucosidase inhibitory activity with excellent sensory acceptability,thus may offer a dietary means for the management of hyperglycaemia. | W.Y.Koh U.Uthumporn A.Rosma A.R.Irfan Y.H.Park | 2018 | Food Science and Human Wellness2018,7,1: | 5 |
| 2 | Microstructure and creep properties of Mg-4Al-2Sn-1(Ca,Sr) alloys显示文摘The effects of Ca and Sr addition on the microstructure and creep properties of Mg-4Al-2Sn alloys were examined.Tensile tests at 25℃ and 200℃ and creep tests at 150℃ and 200℃ were carried out to estimate the room temperature and high temperature mechanical properties of these alloys.The microstructure of the Mg-4Al-2Sn alloy showed dendriticα-Mg,Mg17Al12 and Mg2Sn phases.The latter two phases precipitated along the grain boundaries.The addition of Ca and Sr resulted in the formation of ternary CaMgSn and SrMgSn phases within the grain.The grain size was reduced slightly with the addition of Sr and Ca.The tensile strength was decreased by the addition of Ca and Sr at room temperature.However,the high temperature tensile strength was increased.The creep strength was improved by the addition of Ca and Sr. | B.H.KIM K.C.PARK Y.H.PARK I.M.PARK | 2010 | Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China2010,20,7: | 4 |

| 4 | Evaluation of microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg-xCe-0.5Zn alloys by nano-indentation显示文摘The microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg-xCe-0.5Zn(x=0.5,1.5,2.5,molar fraction,%) alloys were examined using a nano-indentation technique.The alloys were fabricated using a vacuum induction melting method under an argon atmosphere. | 5 | MICROSTRUCTURE AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OFP/M TiAl ALLOYS AND THE TEMPERATURE EFFECT显示文摘Two intermetallic compounds of Ti-50at.% Al and Ti-48at.% Al-2at.% Cr were prepared with a mechanical alloying and pulse discharge sintering process. The as-sintered material showed a microstructure of equiaxed gamma grain with sub-micron size. Heat treatments in vacuum at different temperatures up to 1573K were conducted on the sintered materials. The microstructure of the material coarsened considerably after heat treatment at temperatures higher than 1523K. The mechanical properties of the as-sintered and the heat treated materials were measured at temperatures of up to 973K, with four-point bending tests. Experimental results indicated that the addition of Cr increased the fracture strength of the intermetallic compound at room temperature and at elevated temperatures as well. The bending fracture strength increased with increasing testing temperature up to about 873K and a decreasing followed up.
