| 1 | Modeling investigation of geometric size effect on pervaporation dehydration through scaled-up hollow fiber NaA zeolite membranes显示文摘A mass transfer model in consideration of multi-layer resistances through Na A zeolite membrane and lumen pressure drop in the permeate side was developed to describe pervaporation dehydration through scaled-up hollow fiber supported NaA zeolite membrane. It was found that the transfer resistance in the lumen of the permeate side is strongly related with geometric size of hollow fiber zeolite membrane, which could not be neglected. The effect of geometric size on pervaporation dehydration could be more significant under higher vacuum pressure in the permeate side. The transfer resistance in the lumen increases with the hollow fiber length but decreases with lumen diameter. The geometric structure could be optimized in terms of the ratio of lumen diameter to membrane length. A critical value of dI/L(R_c) to achieve high permeation flux was empirically correlated with extraction pressure in the permeate side. | 2 | Preparation of hollow fiber membranes from mullite particles with aid of sintering additives显示文摘Porous mullite hollow fiber membranes were prepared with a combined phase-inversion and sintering method,using three sintering additives including yttrium stabilized zirconia(YSZ),small mullite particles(SMP),and titanium oxide(TiO2)to promote the particle sintering.The results indicated that all the three additives could improve the sintering performance of mullite hollow fiber membranes due to the decrease in activation energy of mullite grains.Both YSZ and T i02 could react with mullite grains to generate composite oxides(e.g.,ZrSi04 and Al2Ti05)during sintering,following a reaction-sintering mechanism.Interestingly,the newly generated ZrSiO4 was instable and further decomposed into monoclinic ZrO2 and SiO2 in the sintering process.The decomposition could avoid excessive embedment of composite oxides among mullite grains which have negative impact on mechanical strength of mullite hollow fibers.Overall,the doping of YSZ provided a better promotion effect on the sintering of mullite hollow fiber membranes,where the microstructural and mechanical properties are insensitive to the doping content and sintering temperatures,so it could be used as the candidate for the large-scale preparation of mullite hollow fibers. | Hua LIU Jinyun LIU Zhou HONG Shengxian WANG Xuechao GAO Xuehong GU | 2021 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2021,10,1: | 3 |

| 7 | Conformation and Orientation of Phospholipid Molecule in Pure Phospholipid Monolayer During Compressing显示文摘On the basis of energy conservation law and surface pressure isotherm, the conformation energy changes of dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine (DPPC) and dipalmitoylphosphatidylglycerol (DPPG) in pure phospholipid monolayer at the air/water interface during compression are derived. The optimized conformations of phospholipids at absolute freedom state are simulated by Gaussian 98 software. Based on following assumptions: (1)the conformation energy change is mainly caused by the rotation of one special bond; (2)the atoms of glycerol near the water surface are active; (3)the rotation is motivated by hydrogen-bond action; (4)the rotation of bond is inertial, one simplified track of conformational change is suggested and the conformations of DPPC and DPPG at different states are determined by the plots of conformation energy change vs. dihedral angle. The thickness of the simulated phospholipid monolayer is consistent with published experimental result. | 8 | Design and characterizing of robust probes for enhanced mass spectrometry imaging and spatially resolved metabolomics显示文摘As for the emerging and cut edge spatially resolved metabolomics,mass spectrometry imaging(MSI)is a powerful tool that can map thousands of metabolites from bio-tissue sections without chemical labels.However,the stability,sensitivity and spatial resolution of MSI are always limited by the performance of its ionization probe.Herein,two types of probes(fine probe(P-100)and large probe(P-200))were designed and characterized to perform air-flow assisted desorption electrospray ionization(AFA-DESI)MSI analysis for spatially resolved metabolomics.It was determined that the spray introduced by P-100 was homogenous and stable under the spray solvent at a flow rate of 5-10μL/min,while P-200 can endure a high flow rate of up to 10-30μL/min.Moreover,the MSI images were acquired by AFA-DESI-MSI with P-100 from rat brain tissue section and with P-200 from whole-body tissue section of mouse,and these results presented unambiguous tissue structure with the distribution information of numerous metabolites.Furthermore,the spatially resolved metabolomic analysis of tumor tissue was successfully realized to discover the tumor associated biomarkers.As the key parts of AFA-DESI-MSI system,it has been demonstrated that the designed probs have excellent performance for spatially resolved metabolomics,and it will further promote its application in life science,and drug research and development. | Jianpeng Huang Shanshan Gao Kai Wang Jin Zhang Xuechao Pang Junwen Shi Jiuming He | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,5: | 0 |
