| 1 | Soliton mode-locked fiber laser based on topological insulator Bi2Te3 nanosheets at 2 μm显示文摘We reported diverse soliton operations in a thulium/holmium-doped fiber laser by taking advantage of a tapered fiber-based topological insulator(TI) Bi2Te3 saturable absorber(SA).The SA had a nonsaturable loss of 53.5% and a modulation depth of 9.8%.Stable fundamentally mode-locked solitons at 1909.5 nm with distinct Kelly sidebands on the output spectrum,a pulse repetition rate of 21.5 MHz,and a measured pulse width of 1.26 ps were observed in the work.By increasing the pump power,both bunched solitons with soliton number up to 15 and harmonically mode-locked solitons with harmonic order up to 10 were obtained.To our knowledge,this is the first report of both bunched solitons and harmonically mode-locked solitons in a fiber laser at 2 μm region incorporated with TIs. | Ke Yin Bin Zhang Lei Li Tian Jiang Xuanfeng Zhou Jing Hou | 2015 | Photonics Research2015,3,3: | 11 |
| 2 | Differentiation and Pro-Angiogenic Potential of Infantile Hemangioma Stem Cells显示文摘Objectives Infantile hemangioma(IH)is defined as a benign vascular tumor composed of immature vascular endothelial cells,with the unique characteristics of rich vascularization and self-regression into fibro-fatty tissue.CD133-positive hemangioma stem cells(HemSCs),present in the proliferating IH tissue,can be used to establish the IH animal model,which has highlighted the pathogenesis of IH in recent years.This study focused on the biological characteristics and differentiation capacity of HemSCs and aimed to provide a theoretical possibility for its application in tissue engineering.Methods To further confirm our hypothesis,we used fluorescence-activated cell sorting(FACS),in vitro multipotent induced differentiation,angiogenesis assay,and antibody array to identify the surface markers,multipotent differential potential,angiogenesis potential,and secreted factors of HemSCs,respectively,utilizing human adipose stem cells(hADSCs)as the control.Results We successfully isolated and cultured HemSCs.FACS indicated that,on average,more than 80%of HemSCs matched the criteria of mesenchymal stem cell(MSC)surface markers.Our results confirmed that HemSCs could differentiate into adipocytes,osteocytes,and chondrocytes.Additionally,compared with fibroblasts or hADSCs,HemSCs could promote angiogenesis through para-secretion.Conclusions HemSCs may originate from normal MSCs,and owing to their powerful proliferative and angiogenic abilities,they could be considered an IH pathogenic factor.These characteristics demonstratet heir potential as a candidate seed cell in tissue engineering. | Hanru YING Qianyi CHEN Xuanfeng CHEN Zhang YU MD Shih-Jen CHANG Lei CHANG Gang MA Yajing QIU Hui CHEN Xiaoxi LIN | 2020 | Chinese Journal Of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery2020,2,1: | 2 |

| 5 | Theoretical investigation of core mode cut-off condition for tapered multicore fiber显示文摘Core mode cutoff is a useful concept not only for a tapered single-core fiber(SCF) but also for a tapered multicore fiber(MCF) to realize cladding mode transmission. In this paper, cut-off conditions of either core mode for tapered SCFs or supermodes for MCFs are theoretically investigated. Rigorous analytical formulas are derived for the modes of SCF by a three-layer waveguide model, and an approximation formula of the cut-off condition is given for the LP01 mode. The supermodes of MCFs are analyzed by the coupling mode theory, and the cut-off condition is calculated by a numerical method. Simulation results show that the in-phase supermode of MCFs has a similar cut-off condition with that of SCF.
