6DHD4,a CONSTANS-like family transcription factor,delays heading date by affecting the formation of the FAC complex in rice显示文摘Heading date(or flowering time)is one of the most important agronomic traits in rice,influencing its regional adaptability and crop yield.Many major-effect genes for rice heading date have been identified,but in practice they are difficult to be used for rice molecular breeding because of their dramatic effects on heading date.Genes with minor effects on heading date,which are more desirable for fine-tuning flowering time without significant yield penalty,were seldom reported.In this study,we identified a new minor-effect heading date repressor,Delayed Heading Date 4(DHD4).The dhd4 mutant shows a slightly earlier flowering phenotype without a notable yield penalty compared with wild-type plants under natural long-day conditions.DHD4 encodes a CONSTANS-like transcription factor localized in the nucleus.Molecular,biochemical,and genetic assays show that DHD4 can compete with 14-3-3 to interact with OsFD1,thus affecting the formation of the Hd3a-14-3-3-OsFD1 triprotein FAC complex,resulting in reduced expression of OsMADS14 and OsMADS15,and ultimately delaying flowering.Taken together,these results shed new light on the regulation of flowering time in rice and provide a promising target for fine-tuning flowering time to improve the regional adaptability of rice.Maohong Cai Shanshan Zhu Mingming Wu Xiaoming Zheng Jiachang Wang Liang Zhou Tianhui Zheng Song Cui Shirong Zhou Chaonan Li Huan Zhang Juntao Chai Xinyue Zhang Xin Jin Zhijun Cheng Xin Zhang Cailin Lei Yulong Ren Qibing Lin Xiuping Guo Lei Zhao Jie Wang Zhichao Zhao Ling Jiang Haiyang Wang Jianmin Wan 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,2:1

8Design and implementation of near-memory computing array architecture based on shared buffer显示文摘Deep learning algorithms have been widely used in computer vision,natural language processing and other fields.However,due to the ever-increasing scale of the deep learning model,the requirements for storage and computing performance are getting higher and higher,and the processors based on the von Neumann architecture have gradually exposed significant shortcomings such as consumption and long latency.In order to alleviate this problem,large-scale processing systems are shifting from a traditional computing-centric model to a data-centric model.A near-memory computing array architecture based on the shared buffer is proposed in this paper to improve system performance,which supports instructions with the characteristics of store-calculation integration,reducing the data movement between the processor and main memory.Through data reuse,the processing speed of the algorithm is further improved.The proposed architecture is verified and tested through the parallel realization of the convolutional neural network(CNN)algorithm.The experimental results show that at the frequency of 110 MHz,the calculation speed of a single convolution operation is increased by 66.64%on average compared with the CNN architecture that performs parallel calculations on field programmable gate array(FPGA).The processing speed of the whole convolution layer is improved by 8.81%compared with the reconfigurable array processor that does not support near-memory computing.山蕊 GAO Xu FENG Yani HUI Chao CUI Xinyue CHAI Miaomiao 2022High Technology Letters2022,28,4:0
9Optimal Pricing and Return-Freight Insurance:Strategic Analysis of E-Sellers in the Presence of Reputation Differentiation显示文摘Motivated by the practice that e-sellers cooperate with insurance companies to offer consumers the return-freight insurance(RI),this paper aims to investigate the competing e-sellers’RI strategies.Regarding the information asymmetry in the online context,reputation system is widely applied by e-platforms.In an online market with two competing e-sellers that sell the same product but are differentiated in their reputation,this paper builds an analytical model to explore the e-sellers optimal pricing and RI strategies.Combined with sellers’reputation and their RI strategies,the equilibrium outcomes under four cases are discussed.This paper reveals the conditions that e-sellers are willing to offer RI.Specifically,the findings demonstrate that low reputation e-seller is more likely to offer RI.Moreover,when the sellers are more divergent,they are more likely to co-exist in the market.Insurance premium and RI compensation play critical roles in their decisions.RI introduction tends to increase the price,thus offsets the benefits of RI,but does not affect the total consumer surplus.YANG Ying CHAI Rui SUN Xinyu LI Yiming 2022Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2022,35,6:0
10Iron adsorption engineering facilitated by Cu doping on cobalt hydroxide host with enhanced oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘Iron plays a crucial role in improving the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)activity of hydroxide materials.Increasing the number of iron active sites at the solid–liquid interface is beneficial to enhancing the OER performance of catalysts but still challenging.Here,by systematic exploring the activity trends of M(OH)_(x)and Cu-M(OH)_(x)(M=Mn,Cu,Ni,Fe,and Co),we discover that the Cu doping can promote the deposition of Fe active sites on metal hydroxide and Cu-Co(OH)2 shows the most favorable iron adsorption capacity.When loaded on a conductive substrate(cobalt foam(CF),the M-Cu-Co(OH)2/CF(Co(OH)_(2))prepared by molten salt method)exhibits an attractive low overpotential of 337 mV at 1,000 mA·cm^(−2).Using in anion exchange membrane(AEM)water electrolyzer,the single cell with M-Cu-Co(OH)_(2)/CF as anode catalyst performs a stable cell voltage of 2.02 V to reach 1,000 mA·cm^(−2)over 24 h,indicating a great application potential for actual electrolytic water.Therefore,the promoted adsorption of copper on iron provides a new perspective for further enhancing the OER activity of other metal hydroxides.Xinyu Zhang Yiwen Dong Huiying Wang Ziyi Zhao Wenchun Jiang Bin Dong Han Hu Chenguang Liu Yongming Chai 2023Nano Research2023,16,2:0
11Modulation of Spike Count Correlations Between Macaque Primary Visual Cortex Neurons by Difficulty of Attentional Task显示文摘Studies have shown that spatial attention remarkably affects the trial-to-trial response variability shared between neurons.Difficulty in the attentional task adjusts how much concentration we maintain on what is currently important and what is filtered as irrelevant sensory information.However,how task difficulty mediates the interactions between neurons with separated receptive fields(RFs)that are attended to or attended away is still not clear.We examined spike count correlations between single-unit activities recorded simultaneously in the primary visual cortex(V1)while monkeys performed a spatial attention task with two levels of difficulty.Moreover,the RFs of the two neurons recorded were non-overlapping to allow us to study fluctuations in the correlated responses between competing visual inputs when the focus of attention was allocated to the RF of one neuron.While increasing difficulty in the spatial attention task,spike count correlations were either decreased to become negative between neuronal pairs,implying competition among them,with one neuron(or none)exhibiting attentional enhancement of firing rate,or increased to become positive,suggesting inter-neuronal cooperation,with one of the pair showing attentional suppression of spiking responses.Besides,the modulation of spike count correlations by task difficulty was independent of the attended locations.These findings provide evidence that task difficulty affects the functional interactions between different neuronal pools in V1 when selective attention resolves the spatial competition.Qiyi Hu Wenjuan Hu Keyi Liu Xiangdong Bu Lisha Hu Liming Li Xinyu Chai Yao Chen 2022Neuroscience Bulletin2022,38,5:0
