1Composition of fish species in the Bering and Chukchi Seas and their responses to changes in the ecological environment显示文摘Based on trawl surveys in the Bering Sea and Chukchi Sea during the 2010 Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition, fish biodiversity characteristics, such as fish composition, dominant species, biodiversity, and faunal characteristics were conducted. We also discussed the responses of fishes to the quick changes in Arctic climate. The results showed that a total of 41 species in 14 families were recorded in these waters. The dominant species were Hippoglossoides robustus, Boreogadus saida, Myoxocephalus scorpius, Lumpenus fabricii, and Artediellus scaber. There were 35 coldwater species, accounting for 85.37%, and six cold temperate species, occupying 14.63%. The habitat types of fish could be grouped as follows: 35 species of demersal fishes, five benthopelagic fishes, and one pelagic fish. The Shannon–Wiener diversity index(H)(range between 0 and 2.18, 1.21 on average) was not high, and descended from south to north. 2Comprehensive Investigation and Assessment of Nutrient and Heavy Metal Contamination in the Surface Water of Coastal Bohai Sea in China显示文摘With the rapid development of industrialization and urbanization of coastal regions,eutrophication and metal pollution have caused serious environmental problems in China.To better understand the potential environmental risks associated with nutrients and heavy metals,the surface water was comprehensively investigated in the coastal Bohai Sea.A total of 150 sites were sampled from seven coastal regions,and the concentrations of nutrients(DIN and DIP)and metals(Cd,Pb,Zn,Cu,Cr,As and Hg)in the surface seawater were measured.The results showed that the DIN concentration of about 50%sites exceeded the Grade-I of Seawater Quality Standard of China.Due to high concentrations of DIN,the status of eutrophication was serious in the Bohai Bay and Shuangtaizi Estuary.According to Seawater Quality Standard of China,Pb,Zn,Hg and Cu were the main metal pollutants in the coastal Bohai Sea.There was generally low ecological risk caused by heavy metals,but certain hotspots existed near Shuangtaizi Estuary and Changxingdao Island.LIN Heshan LI Hongjun YANG Xiaolong XU Zizhou TONG Yindong YU Xingguang 2020Journal of Ocean University of China2020,19,4:2

5Unloading-induced permeability recovery in rock fractures显示文摘Underground space creation and energy extraction, which induce unloading on rock fractures, commonly occur in various rock engineering projects, and rock engineering projects are subjected to high temperatures with increasing depth. Fluid flow behavior of rock fractures is a critical issue in many subsurface rock engineering projects. Previous studies have extensively considered permeability evolution in rock fractures under loading phase, whereas changes in fracture permeability under unloading phase have not been fully understood. To examine the unloading-induced changes in fracture permeability under different temperatures, we performed water flow-through tests on fractured rock samples subjected to decreasing confining pressures and different temperatures. The experimental results show that the permeability of fracture increases with unloading of confining pressure but decreases with loading-unloading cycles. Temperature may affect fracture permeability when it is higher than a certain threshold. An empirical model of fracture hydraulic aperture including two material parameters of initial normal stiffness and maximum normal closure can well describe the permeability changes in rough rock fracture subjected to loading-unloading cycles and heating.
