| 1 | Effect of activation agents on the surface chemical properties and desulphurization performance of activated carbon显示文摘Flue gas pollution is a serious environmental problem that needs to be solved for the sustainable development of China.The surface chemical properties of carbon have great influence on its desulphurization performance.A series of activated carbons (ACs) were prepared using HNO3,H2O2,NH3·H2O and steam as activation agents with the aim to introduce functional groups to carbon surface in the ACs preparation process.The ACs were physically and chemically characterized by iodine and SO2 adsorption,ultimate analysis,Boehm titration,and temperature-programmed reduction (TPR).Results showed that the iodine number and desulphurization capacity of NH3·H2O activated carbon (AC-NH3) increase with both activation time,and its desulphurization capacity also increases with the concentration of activation agent.However,HNO3 activated carbon (AC-HNO3) and H2O2 activated carbon (AC-H2O2) exhibit more complex behavior.Only their iodine numbers increase monotonously with activation time.Compared with steam activated AC (AC-H2O),the nitrogen content increases 0.232% in AC-NH3 and 0.077% in AC-HNO3.The amount of total basic site on AC-HNO3 is 0.19 mmol·g-1 higher than that on AC-H2O.H2O2 activation introduces an additional 0.08 mmol·g-1 carboxyl groups to AC surface than that introduced by steam activation.The desulphurization capacity of ACs in simulate flue gas desulphurization decreases as follows: AC-NH3 > AC-HNO3 > AC-H2O2 > AC-H2O.This sequence is in accord with the SO2 catalytic oxidation/oxidation ratio in the absence of oxygen and the oxidation property reflected by TPR.In the presence of oxygen,all adsorbed SO2 on ACs can be oxidized into SO3.The desulphurization capacity increases differently according to the activation agents;the desulphurization capacity of AC-NH3 and AC-HNO3 improves by 4.8 times,yet AC-H2O increases only by 2.62 as compared with the desulphurization of corresponding ACs in absence of oxygen. | ZHANG XiangLan,ZHANG Yan,WANG ShuangSheng,ZHANG JingJing & ZHOU Wei School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering,China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing),Beijing 100083,China | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,9: | 14 |
| 2 | Effects of coal rank, Fe_3O_4 amounts and activation temperature on the preparation and characteristics of magnetic activated carbon显示文摘Coal-based Magnetic Activated Carbons (CMAC’s) were prepared from three representative coal samples of various ranks: Baorigele lignite from Inner Mongolia; Datong bitumite from Shanxi province; and Taixi anthracite from Ningxia Hui Auto-nomous Region. Fe3O4 was used as a magnetic additive. A nitrogen-adsorption analyzer was used to determine the specific surface area and pore structure of the resulting activated carbons. The adsorption capacity was assessed by the adsorption of iodine and methylene blue. X-ray diffraction was used to measure the evolution behavior of Fe3O4 during the preparation process. Magnetic properties were characterized with a vibrating-sample magnetometer. The effect of the activation temperature on the performance of CMAC’s was also studied. The results show that, compared to Baorigele lignite and Taixi anthracite, the Datong bitumite is more appropriate for the preparation of CMAC’s with a high specific surface area, an advanced pore structure and suitable magnetic properties. Fe3O4 can effectively enhance the magnetic properties and control the pore structure by increasing the ratio of meso-pores. An addition of 6.0% Fe3O4 and an activation temperature of 880 °C produced a CMAC having a specific surface area, an iodine adsorption, a methylene blue adsorption and a specific saturation magnetization of 1152.0 m2/g, 1216.7 mg/g, 229.5 mg/g and 4.623 emu/g, respectively. | 4 | Evolution of the CBM reservoir-forming dynamic system with mixed secondary biogenic and thermogenic gases in the Huainan Coalfield,China显示文摘The secondary biogenic gas is an important original type of the coalbed methane (CBM) in China. Based on the analyses of sedimentary and burial history of the Permian coal-bearing strata, combined with thermal history and gas generation process of coals, the CBM reservoir-forming dynamic system with mixed secondary biogenic and thermogenic gases in the Huainan Coalfield is subdivided into four evolutionary stages as follows: (i) shallowly-buried peat and early biogenic gas stage; (ii) deeply buried coal seams and thermogenic gas stage; (iii) exhumation of coal-bearing strata and adsorbed gas lost stage; and (iv) re-buried coal-bearing strata and secondary biogenic gas supplement stage. The Huainan CBM reservoir-forming model has the features of the basin-centered gas accumulation. The evolution of the reservoir-forming dynamic system proves that the thermogenic gas is not the main gas source for the Huainan CBM reservoir. Only the secondary biogenic gases as an additional source replenish into the coal bed after basin-uplift, erosional unroofing and subsequent scattering of thermogenic gases. | 5 | FGF23 and Phosphate Wasting Disorders显示文摘A decade ago,only two hormones,parathyroid hormone and 1,25(OH)2D,were widely recognized to direct-ly affect phosphate homeostasis.Since the discovery of fibroblast growth factor 23(FGF23) in 2000(1),our understanding of the mechanisms of phosphate homeostasis and of bone mineralization has grown exponentially.FGF23 is the link between intestine,bone,and kidney together in phosphate regulation.However,we still do not know the complex mechanism of phosphate homeostasis and bone mineralization.The physiological role of FGF23 is to regulate serum phosphate.Secreted mainly by osteocytes and osteo-blasts in the skeleton(2-3),it modulates kidney handling of phosphate reabsorption and calcitriol produc-tion.Genetic and acquired abnormalities in FGF23 structure and metabolism cause conditions of either hyper-FGF23 or hypo-FGF23.Hyper-FGF23 is related to hypophosphatemia,while hypo-FGF23 is related to hyperphosphatemia.Both hyper-FGF23 and hypo-FGF23 are detrimentalto humans.In this review,we will discuss the pathophysiology of FGF23 and hyper-FGF23 related renal phosphate wasting disorders(4). | Xianglan Huang Yan Jiang Weibo Xia | 2013 | Bone Research2013,1,2: | 9 |
| 6 | Surface properties of activated carbon from different raw materials显示文摘Activated carbons(ACs) with different surface properties were prepared from different raw materials.N 2 adsorption,pH value,Boehm titration,Temperature-programmed reduction(TPR) and FTIR were employed to characterize the pore structure and surface chemical properties of the ACs.The results show that AC from bituminous coal(AC-B) has more meso-pores,higher pH value,more carboxylic groups and basic site than ACs from coconut shell and hawthorn(AC-C,AC-H).Oxygen in the mixture gas has great effect on SO2 catalytic oxidation/oxidation ability of AC-B.In the absence of oxygen,the adsorbed SO2 on AC-B is 0.16 mmol/g and the conversion ratio of adsorbed SO2 to SO 3 is 22.07%;while in the presence of oxygen,the adsorbed amount of SO2 is 0.42 mmol/g,and all of the adsorbed SO2 was totally converted to SO 3.This feature of AC-B is consistent with its higher pH value,basic site and the reaction ability with H 2 from TPR.The conversion ratios of SO2 absorbed on both AC-C and AC-H were 100%,respectively. | Zhang XiangLan Zhang Yan Liu Qiong Zhou Wei | 2012 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,4: | 7 |
| 7 | Methane dry reforming on Ni/La_2Zr_2O_7 treated by plasma in different atmospheres显示文摘A series of Ni/La2Zr2O7 pyrochlore catalysts prepared by impregnation method and treated by dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) plasma in different atmospheres and varied sequences were prepared and applied for dry reforming of methane(DRM). It is found that all of the plasma treated catalysts show evidently improved activity and coke resistance in comparison with the non-plasma treated one. The best performance is achieved on Ni/La2Zr2O7–H2P–C,a catalyst treated in H2 plasma before calcination. TGA-DSC and SEM demonstrate that carbon deposition is significantly suppressed on all of the plasma treated samples. Moreover,XRD and TEM results testify that both Ni O and Ni sizes on the calcined and reduced samples treated by plasma are also decreased,which results in higher Ni metal dispersion on the reduced and used catalysts and enhances the interactions between Ni sites and the support. | 8 | Impacts of land use and salinization on soil inorganic and organic carbon in the middle-lower Yellow River Delta显示文摘Soil inorganic carbon(SIC)is an important reservoir of carbon(C)in arid,semi-arid,and semi-humid regions.However,knowledge is incomplete on the dynamics of SIC and its relationship with soil organic C(SOC)under different land use types in the semi-humid region,particularly in coastal zones impacted by soil salinization.We collected 170 soil samples from 34 profiles across various land use types(maize-wheat,cotton,paddy,and reed)in the middle-lower Yellow River Delta(YRD),China.We measured soil pH,electrical conductivity(EC),water-soluble salts,and SOC and SIC contents.Our results showed significant differences in both SOC and SIC among land use types.The dry cropland(maize-wheat and cotton)soils had significantly higher SOC and SIC densities(4.71 and 15.46 kg C m^(-2),respectively)than the paddy soils(3.28 and 14.09 kg C m^(-2),respectively)in the 0–100 cm layer.Compared with paddy soils,reed soils contained significantly higher SOC(4.68 kg C m^(-2))and similar SIC(15.02 kg C m^(-2))densities.There was a significant positive correlation between SOC and SIC densities over a 0–100 cm soil depth in dry cropland soils,but a negative relationship in the paddy soils.On average,SOC and SIC densities under maize-wheat cropping were 15%and 4%lower,respectively,in the salt-affected soils in the middle-lower YRD than the upper YRD.This study indicated that land use types had great influences on both SOC and SIC and their relationship,and salinization had adverse effect on soil C storage in the YRD. | Yang GUO Xiujun WANG Xianglan LI Minggang XU Yuan LI Haonan ZHENG Yongming LUO Pete SMITH | 2021 | Pedosphere2021,31,6: | 4 |
| 9 | Dry reforming of methane on active and coke resistant Ni/Y_2Zr_2O_7 catalysts treated by dielectric barrier discharge plasma显示文摘In this study, Ni/Y_2Zr_2O_7 catalysts prepared with impregnation method and treated by dielectric barrier discharge plasma(DBD) in different atmospheres have been investigated for methane dry reforming. It is revealed by H_2-TPR that plasma treatment can enhance the interaction between Ni O/Ni particles and the Y_2Zr_2O_7 pyrochlore support. Therefore, catalysts with smaller Ni O and Ni grains sizes, higher metallic Ni active surface areas can be achieved, as evidenced by XRD, TEM and H_2 adsorption-desorption measurements. As a consequence, the plasma-treated catalysts show significantly improved activity, stability and coke resistance, as testified by the TEM and TGA-DSC results. Plasma treatment in H_2/Ar gas mixture is found to be the best condition to prepare Ni/Y_2Zr_2O_7, which can be used to obtain a catalyst with the highest activity, stability and most potent coke resistance. One new diketopiperazine brevianamide W(1a), as well as five known diketopiperazine alkaloids, diketopiperazine V(1b), brevianamide Q(2), brevianamide R(3), brevianamide K(4), and brevianamide E(5), were isolated from the Et OAc extract of the fermentation broth. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopy techniques(NMR, MS). | 11 | Ln2Zr2O7 compounds(Ln=La,Pr, Sm, Y) with varied rare earth A sites for low temperature oxidative coupling of methane显示文摘With the objective to develop catalysts having application potential for oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) at relatively lower temperature. A series of Ln2Zr2O7 compounds with varied rare earth A sites have been prepared by a co-precipitation method. XRD and Raman have proved that pure Ln2Zr2O7 compounds have been successfully prepared for all the catalysts. By decreasing the rA/rB ratio, their crystalline structure transform from an ordered pyrochlore (La2Zr2O7) to a less ordered pyrochlore (Pr2Zr2O7 and Sm2Zr2O7) and eventually to a defective cubic fluorite phase (Y2Zr2O7). H2-TPR, O2-TPD and XPS have testified that the amount of surface active O2-species follows the order of La2Zr2O7>Pr2Zr2O7>Sm2Zr2O7 > Y2Zr2O7, which is well consistent with the reaction performance, indicating that the abundance of surface O2- sites is a critical factor influencing the reaction performance. CO2-TPD has demonstrated that a better catalyst generally possesses a larger amount of surface moderate alkaline sites, which is another factor to affect the reaction performance. It is concluded that the concerted interaction between the two types of surface active sites controls the reaction performance of the Ln2Zr2O7 catalysts.
