1Multidetector CT in evaluating blood supply of hepatocellular carcinoma after transcatheter arterial chemoembolization显示文摘AIM:To assess the value of multidetector-row computed tomography (MDCT) in choosing retreatment methods of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) through evaluating the blood supply of low-density area of HCC after transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE).METHODS: Thirty-two patients with HCC after TACE treatment were examined by plain scanning and hepatic multidetector-row CT. The location of low-density area on plain scanning and the enhancement patterns on dynamic contrast-enhanced scanning were observed. At the same time, three-dimensional CT(3D CT) models of the volume rendering, curved multiplanar reformations, surface shaded display and maximum intensity projection reconstruction of the hepatic artery and portal vein were performed in 6 cases.RESULTS: In CT plain scanning data, low density areas of 32 cases of HCC after TACE treatment were divided into three types: peripheral, one-side-located and mixed types.In contrast-enhanced CT scans, the blood supply of low-density area was classified into four types: arterial blood supply (20 cases), portal blood supply (5 cases), arterial combined with portal blood supply (5 cases) and poor blood supply (2 cases). In 6 cases, the relationship between the low-density area and branches of hepatic artery as well asportal vein was shown by 3D CT.CONCLUSION: Hepatic MDCT is an effective method for evaluating the blood supply of low-density area and therapeutic effect of HCC after TACE treatment. 2Influential factors and control of water inrush in a coal seam as the main aquifer显示文摘In this paper, a combination of field measurement, theoretical analysis and numerical simulation were used to study the main control factors of coal mine water inrush in a main aquifer coal seam and its control scheme. On the basis of revealing and analyzing the coal seam as the main aquifer in western coal mine of Xiao Jihan coal mine, the simulation software of PHASE-2D was applied to analyze the water inflow under different influencing factors. The results showed that water inflow increases logarithmically with the coal seam thickness, increases as a power function with the permeability coefficient of the coal seam, and increases linearly with the coal seam burial depth and the head pressure; The evaluation model for the factors of coal seam water inrush was gained by using nonlinear regression analysis with SPSS. The mine water inrush risk evaluation partition within the scope of the mining field was obtained,through the engineering application in Xiao Jihan coal mine. 3Efficient iron plaque formation on tea(Camellia sinensis) roots contributes to acidic stress tolerance显示文摘Tea plants grow in acidic soil, but to date, their intrinsic mechanisms of acidic stress tolerance have not been elucidated. Here, we assessed the tea plant response to growth on NHt4 nutrient media having different p H and iron levels. When grown in standard NHt4 nutrient solution(iron insufficient, 0.35 mg Là1 Fe2t), tea roots exhibited significantly lower nitrogen accumulation, plasma membrane Ht-ATPase activity, and protein levels; net Htefflux was lower at pH 4.0 and 5.0 than at pH 6.0. Addition of30 mg Là1 Fe2t(iron sufficient, mimicking normal soil Fe2tconcentrations) to the NHt4 nutrient solution led to more efficient iron plaque formation on roots and increased root plasma membrane Ht-ATPase levels and activities at p H 4.0 eland 5.0, compared to the p H 6.0 condition. Furthermore,plants grown at pH 4.0 and 5.0, with sufficient iron,exhibited significantly higher nitrogen accumulation than those grown at pH 6.0. Together, these results support the hypothesis that efficient iron plaque formation, on tea roots, is important for acidic stress tolerance. 4Maintenance of mesophyll potassium and regulation of plasma membrane H^+-ATPase are associated with physiological responses of tea plants to drought and subsequent rehydration显示文摘Drought stress is one of the main factors limiting yield in tea plants. The plant cell's ability to preserve K^+homeostasis is an important strategy for coping with drought stress. Plasma membrane H^+-ATPase in the mesophyll cell is important for maintaining membrane potential to regulate K^+transmembrane transport. However, no research to date has investigated the possible relationship between plasma membrane H^+-ATPase and mesophyll K^+retention in tea plants under drought and subsequent rehydration conditions. In our experiment, drought stress inhibited plasma membrane H^+-ATPase activities and induced net H^+influx, leading to membrane potential depolarization and inducing a massive K^+efflux in tea plant mesophyll cells. Subsequent rehydration increased plasma membrane H^+-ATPase activity and induced net H^+efflux, leading to membrane potential hyperpolarization and thus lowering K^+loss. A first downregulated and then upregulated plasma membrane H^+-ATPase protein expression level was also observed under drought and subsequent rehydration treatment, a finding in agreement with the change of measured plasma membrane H^+-ATPase activities. 6Post-synthesis and structural evolution of hollow titanium silicalite-1 with solvent-free method显示文摘Generating hollow structure inside titanium silicalite-1(TS-1)is a widely used method to improve its liquid-phase oxidation catalytic performance in industry.However,traditional dissolution-recrystallization method usually required a large amount of aqueous solution of organic template,leading to unfavorable polluted waste,low production efficiency,and high manufacture cost.Here,a facile and environmental friendly strategy was proposed for the post-synthesis of hollow TS-1 zeolite with a solventfree method utilizing NH4HCO3 and tetrapropylammounium bromide as selective etching agents,which reduced the usage of organic template and avoided the liquid waste.The high crystallinity,the microporous structure,and the active Ti sites were preserved at a high product yield(>93%).The formation mechanism of hollow structure was also investigated by exploring effects of different reactants and experimental parameters.Meanwhile,the obtained hollow TS-1 showed an outstanding performance in the epoxidation of 1-hexene in comparison to the parent zeolite.Yaqi Fan Xianchen Gong Xiaomeng Si Changjiu Xia Peng Wu Yanhang Ma 2023Nano Research2023,16,1:1

18Amplification of early drought responses caused by volatile cues emitted from neighboring tea plants显示文摘Plants have developed sophisticated mechanisms to survive in dynamic environments.Plants can communicate via volatile organic compounds(VOCs)to warn neighboring plants of threats.In most cases,VOCs act as positive regulators of plant defense.However,the communication and role of volatiles in response to drought stress are poorly understood.Here,we showed that tea plants release numerous VOCs.Among them,methyl salicylate(MeSA),benzyl alcohol,and phenethyl alcohol markedly increased under drought stress.Interestingly,further experiments revealed that drought-induced MeSA lowered the abscisic acid(ABA)content in neighboring plants by reducing 9-cis-epoxycarotenoid dioxygenase(NCED)gene expression,resulting in inhibition of stomatal closure and ultimately decreasing early drought tolerance in neighboring plants.Exogenous application of ABA reduced the wilting of tea plants caused by MeSA exposure.Exposure of Nicotiana benthamiana to MeSA also led to severe wilting,indicating that the ability of drought-induced MeSA to reduce early drought tolerance in neighboring plants may be conserved in other plant species.Taken together,these results provide evidence that drought-induced volatiles can reduce early drought tolerance in neighboring plants and lay a novel theoretical foundation for optimizing plant density and spacing.Jieyang Jin Mingyue Zhao Ting Gao Tingting Jing Na Zhang Jingming Wang Xianchen Zhang Jin Huang Wilfried Schwab Chuankui Song 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:1
