| 3 | FDG-PET/CT response evaluation during EGFR-TKI treatment in patients with NSCLC显示文摘Over recent years,[18F]-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography acquired together with low dose computed tomography(FDG-PET/CT)has proven its role as a staging modality in patients with non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).The purpose of this review was to present the evidence to use FDG-PET/CT for response evaluation in patients with NSCLC,treated with epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)-tyrosine kinase inhibitors(TKI).All published articles from 1November 2003 to 1 November 2013 reporting on 18FFDG-PET response evaluation during EGFR-TKI treatment in patients with NSCLC were collected.In total 7studies,including data of 210 patients were eligible for analyses.Our report shows that FDG-PET/CT responseduring EGFR-TKI therapy has potential in targeted treatment for NSCLC.FDG-PET/CT response is associated with clinical and radiologic response and with survival.Furthermore FDG-PET/CT response monitoring can be performed as early as 1-2 wk after initiation of EGFR-TKI treatment.Patients with substantial decrease of metabolic activity during EGFR-TKI treatment will probably benefit from continued treatment.If metabolic response does not occur within the first weeks of EGFR-TKI treatment,patients may be spared(further)unnecessary toxicity of ineffective treatment.Refining FDG-PET response criteria may help the clinician to decide on continuation or discontinuation of targeted treatment. | Matthijs H van Gool Tjeerd S Aukema Koen J Hartemink Renato A Valdés Olmos Houke M Klomp Harm van Tinteren | 2014 | World Journal of Radiology2014,6,7: | 8 |

| 5 | CD28/CTLA-4/B7 and CD40/CD40L costimulation and activation of regulatory T cells显示文摘Costimulatory signals are crucial for T cell activation. Attempts to block costimulatory pathways have been effective in preventing unwanted immune reactions. In particular, blocking the CD28/cytotoxic T lymphocyte antigen(CTLA)-4/B7 interaction(using CTLA-4Ig) and the CD40/CD40 L interaction(using anti-CD40 L antibodies) prevents T cell mediated autoimmune diseases, transplant rejection and graft vs host disease in experimental models. Moreover, CTLA-4Ig is in clinical use to treat rheumatoid arthritis(abatacept) and to prevent rejection of renal transplants(belatacept). Under certain experimental conditions, this treatment can even result in tolerance. Surprisingly, the underlying mechanisms of immune modulation are still not completely understood. We here discuss the evidence that costimulation blockade differentially affects effector T cells(Teff) and regulatory T cells(Treg). The latter are required to control inappropriate and unwanted immune responses, and their activity often contributes to tolerance induction and maintenance. Unfortunately, our knowledge on the costimulatory requirements of Treg cells is very limited. We therefore summarize the current understanding ofthe costimulatory requirements of Treg cells, and elaborate on the effect of anti-CD40 L antibody and CTLA-4Ig treatment on Treg cell activity. | 6 | Video Polyp Segmentation: A Deep Learning Perspective显示文摘We present the first comprehensive video polyp segmentation(VPS)study in the deep learning era.Over the years,developments in VPS are not moving forward with ease due to the lack of a large-scale dataset with fine-grained segmentation annotations.To address this issue,we first introduce a high-quality frame-by-frame annotated VPS dataset,named SUN-SEG,which contains 158690colonoscopy video frames from the well-known SUN-database.We provide additional annotation covering diverse types,i.e.,attribute,object mask,boundary,scribble,and polygon.Second,we design a simple but efficient baseline,named PNS+,which consists of a global encoder,a local encoder,and normalized self-attention(NS)blocks.The global and local encoders receive an anchor frame and multiple successive frames to extract long-term and short-term spatial-temporal representations,which are then progressively refined by two NS blocks.Extensive experiments show that PNS+achieves the best performance and real-time inference speed(170 fps),making it a promising solution for the VPS task.Third,we extensively evaluate 13 representative polyp/object segmentation models on our SUN-SEG dataset and provide attribute-based comparisons.Finally,we discuss several open issues and suggest possible research directions for the VPS community.Our project and dataset are publicly available at http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460asvuqfbpcxufnq66fk.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/GewelsJI/VPS. | Ge-Peng Ji Guobao Xiao Yu-Cheng Chou Deng-Ping Fan Kai Zhao Geng Chen Luc Van Gool | 2022 | Machine Intelligence Research2022,19,6: | 2 |
