1Curcumin alters expression of glial fibrillary acidic protein and nestin following chronic cerebral ischemia显示文摘Astrocytes can alter their appearance and become reactive following chronic cerebral ischemia.In the present study,a rat model of chronic cerebral ischemia was treated with 50 and 100 mg/kg curcumin.Results showed that pathological changes of neuronal injury in hippocampal CA1 area of rats induced by chronic cerebral ischemia were attenuated,as well as upregulated expression of glial fibrillary acidic protein and nestin,in a dose-dependent manner.Peng Zhang 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,9:1
2Dynamic changes of glial fibrillary acidic protein and nestin in the hippocampus of adult rat brain following ischemic vascular dementia显示文摘Vascular dementia produced by permanent ligation of bilateral common carotid arteries involves progressive deterioration of intellectual and cognitive function in rats,which are closely associated with the hippocampus.This study used immunohistochemical analysis to detect the expression of glial fibrillary acidic protein and nestin in the hippocampus in a vascular dementia model.The results revealed that both glial fibrillary acidic protein and nestin expression were increased 1 day after permanent ligation of the bilateral common carotid arteries,compared with a sham-operated group.The expression of glial fibrillary acidic protein peaked at 7 days post-surgery.The expression of nestin was a little weaker than that of glial fibrillary acidic protein,and peaked at 14 days(P < 0.01).The expression of both proteins slightly decreased at 21 and 28 days,accompanied by recovery of cerebral blood flow.In conclusion,this study demonstrated that glial fibrillary acidic protein and nestin exhibited dynamic expression in the rat hippocampus after permanent ligation of bilateral common carotid arteries.This finding suggests that dynamic alterations in protein expres-sion play an important role in the pathogenesis of vascular dementia.Tianping Yu 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,8:0
3Influence of CO_(2) inleakage on the slight-alkalization of generator internal cooling water显示文摘The slight-alkalization of generator internal cooling water(GICW)is widely used to inhibit the corrosion of hollow copper conductor and thereby ensure the safe operation of the generator.CO_(2) inleakage is increasingly identified as a potential security risk for GICW system.In this paper,the influence of CO_(2) inleakage on the slight-alkalization of GICW was theoretically discussed.Based on the equilibriums of the CO_(2)-NaOH-H_(2)O system,CO_(2) inleakage saturation was derived to quantify the amount of the dissolved CO_(2) in GICW.This parameter can be directly calculated with the measured conductivity and the[Na+]of GICW.The influence of CO_(2) inleakage on the slight-alkalization conditioning of GICW and the measurement of its water quality parameters were then analyzed.The more severe the inleakage,the narrower the water quality operation ranges of GICW,resulting in the more difficult the slight-alkalization conditioning of GICW.The temperature calibrations of the conductivity and the pH value of GICW show nonlinear correlations with the amount of CO_(2) inleakage and the NaOH dosage.This study provides insights into the influence of CO_(2) inleakage on the slight-alkalization of GICW,which can serve as the theoretical basis for the actual slight-alkalization when CO_(2) inleakage occurs.Tianping Wang Xuxiang Jia Yu Wang Chunsong Ye 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,8:0
