1再生混凝土细微观结构和破坏机理研究显示文摘再生骨料相当于天然骨料表面附着了一层老砂浆,老砂浆力学性能相对天然骨料较差,造成了再生混凝土内界面过渡区的数量、分布和性能的不同,从而影响了再生混凝土的力学性能.首先通过试验方法研究了再生混凝土中老砂浆的含量和分布;利用扫描电镜考察了新老界面过渡区形貌的异同,分析了老砂浆对界面过渡区的影响;采用有限元软件ANSYS对再生混凝土细观结构的受力特征和破坏机理进行了初步分析.最后利用不同强度等级的废旧混凝土加工成再生粗骨料,制备成再生混凝土,测试其抗压强度和劈裂抗拉强度,验证了再生混凝土受力的破坏机理.肖建庄 刘琼 李文贵 Vivian Tam 2009青岛理工大学学报2009,30,4:64
2他们真的是明星吗?--来自中国证券基金市场的经验证据显示文摘本文实证研究了中国证券基金市场中的明星现象。运用2005年至2007年的数据,发现明星基金家族中的明星基金会产生'溢出效应',即他们不仅会自身吸引更多的投资者资金,而且还可以让同家族中非明星基金也享受到资金净流入的增加。然而,对于排名靠后的基金,却没有发现显著的资金净流出。因为这种资金净流入与净流出的不对称性,那些投资管理能力弱的基金家族就可能采取明星策略,通过人为制造明星基金而成为明星家族。明星基金的'溢出效应使整个家族可以获得更多的资金净流入,自然管理费也可以增加。本文又发现,旗下基金业绩差距越大,规模越大,前期没有明星基金的家族制造明星的动机越强,而他们并不是真正的明星,在未来不能给投资者带来更高的回报。投资者应该选择真正的明星。林树 李翔 杨雄胜 Onkit Tam 2009金融研究2009,,5:56
3Is nasopharyngeal cancer really a “Cantonese cancer”?显示文摘Nasopharyngeal cancer(NPC) is endemic in Southern China,with Guandong province and Hong Kong reporting some of the highest incidences in the world.The journal Science has called it a 'Cantonese cancer'.We propose that in fact NPC is a cancer that originated in the Bai-Yue('proto-Tai-Kadai' or 'proto-Austronesian' or 'proto-Zhuang') peoples and was transmitted to the Han Chinese in southern China through intermarriage.However,the work by John Ho raised the profile of NPC,and because of the high incidence of NPC in Hong Kong and Guangzhou,NPC became known as a Cantonese cancer.We searched historical articles,articles cited in PubMed,Google,monographs,books and Internet articles relating to genetics of the peoples with high populations of NPC.The migration history of these various peoples was extensively researched,and where possible,their genetic fingerprint identified to corroborate with historical accounts.Genetic and anthropological evidence suggest there are a lot of similarities between the Bai-Yue and the aboriginal peoples of Borneo and Northeast India;between Inuit of Greenland,Austronesian Mayalo-Polynesians of Southeast Asia and Polynesians of Oceania,suggesting some common ancestry.Genetic studies also suggest the present Cantonese,Minnans and Hakkas are probably an admixture of northern Han and southern Bai-Yue.All these populations have a high incidence of NPC.Very early contact between southern Chinese and peoples of East Africa and Arabia can also account for the intermediate incidence of NPC in these regions.Joseph Tien Seng Wee Tam Cam Ha Susan Li Er Loong Chao-Nan Qian 2010Chinese Journal of Cancer2010,29,5:37

5Influence of South China Sea SST and the ENSO on Winter Rainfall over South China显示文摘The present study investigates the influence of South China Sea (SCS) SST and ENSO on winter (January-February-March; JFM) rainfall over South China and its dynamic processes by using station observations for the period 1951-2003, Met Office Hadley Center SST data for the period 1900-2008, and ERA-40 reanalysis data for the period 1958-2002. It is found that JFM rainfall over South China has a sig- nificant correlation with Nio-3 and SCS SST. Analyses show that in El Nio or positive SCS SST anomaly years, southwesterly anomalies at 700 hPa dominate over the South China Sea, which in turn transports more moisture into South China and favors increased rainfall. A partial regression analysis indicates that the independent ENSO influence on winter rainfall occurs mainly over South China, whereas SCS SST has a larger independent influence on winter rainfall in northern part of South China. The temperature over South China shows an obvious decrease at 300 hPa and an increase near the surface, with the former induced by Nio-3 and the latter SCS SST anomalies. This enhances the convective instability and weakens the potential vorticity (PV), which explains the strengthening of ascending motion and the increase of JFM rainfall over South China.周连童 Chi-Yung TAM 周文 Johnny C. 7Anti-inflammatory mechanisms of the novel cytokine interleukin-38 in allergic asthma显示文摘We elucidated the anti-inflammatory mechanisms of IL-38 in allergic asthma.Human bronchial epithelial cells and eosinophils were cocultured upon stimulation with the viral RLR ligand poly(I:C)/LyoVec or infection-related cytokine TNF-αto induce expression of cytokines/chemokines/adhesion molecules.House dust mite(HDM)-induced allergic asthma and humanized allergic asthma NOD/SCID murine models were established to assess anti-inflammatory mechanisms in vivo.IL-38 significantly inhibited induced proinflammatory IL-6,IL-1β,CCL5,and CXCL10 production,and antiviral interferon-βand intercellular adhesion molecule-1 expression in the coculture system.Mass cytometry and RNA-sequencing analysis revealed that IL-38 could antagonize the activation of the intracellular STAT1,STAT3,p38 MAPK,ERK1/2,and NF-κB pathways,and upregulate the expression of the host defense-related gene POU2AF1 and anti-allergic response gene RGS13.Intraperitoneal injection of IL-38 into HDM-induced allergic asthma mice could ameliorate airway hyperreactivity by decreasing the accumulation of eosinophils in the lungs and inhibiting the expression of the Th2-related cytokines IL-4,IL-5,and IL-13 in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF)and lung homogenates.Histological examination indicated lung inflammation was alleviated by reductions in cell infiltration and goblet cell hyperplasia,together with reduced Th2,Th17,and innate lymphoid type 2 cell numbers but increased proportions of regulatory T cells in the lungs,spleen,and lymph nodes.IL-38 administration suppressed airway hyperreactivity and asthma-related IL-4 and IL-5 expression in humanized mice,together with significantly decreased CCR3^(+) eosinophil numbers in the BALF and lungs,and a reduced percentage of human CD4^(+)CRTH2^(+)Th2 cells in the lungs and mediastinal lymph nodes.Together,our results demonstrated the anti-inflammatory mechanisms of IL-38 and provided a basis for the development of a regulatory cytokine-based treatment for allergic asthma.Xiaoyu Sun Tianheng Hou Edwin Cheung Tiffany Nga-Teng Iu Victor Wai-Hou Tam Ida Miu-Ting Chu Miranda Sin-Man Tsang Paul Kay-Sheung Chan Christopher Wai-Kei Lam Chun-Kwok Wong 2020Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,6:22
8Effects of octreotide on acute necrotizing pancreatitis in rabbits显示文摘AIM: To assess the role of oxygen-derived free radicals and cytokines in the pathogenesis of taurocholic acid-induced acute pancreatitis, and to evaluate the preventive effects of octreotide towards the development of acute pancreatitis. METHODS: Acute pancreatitis was induced in male New Zealand white rabbits by retrograde injection of 0.8 mL/kg·b·m, of 50 g/L sodium taurocholate(NaTC) in the pancreatic duct. Sham-operated animals served as control. Octreotide 1 mglkg·b.m.was administered subcutaneously before the induction of pancreatitis. Blood was taken from the jugular vein before and at 1, 3, 6, 12 and 24 h after pancreatitis induction.Serum activities of amylase, IL-6 and TNF-α and levels of malonyl dialdehyde (MDA), glutathione (GSH), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), catalase and superoxide dismutase (Mn-,Cu-,and Zn-SOD) in pancreatic tissue were measured.RESULTS: Serum TNF-α and IL-6 levels increased significantly 3 h after the onset of pancreatitis, and then returned to control level. The tissue concentration of MDA was significantly elevated at 24 h, while the GSH level and GP-x, catalase, Mn-SOD, Cu-, Zn-SOD activities were all significantly decreased in animals with pancreatitis as compared to the control. Octreotide pretreatment significantly reversed the changes in cytokines and reactive oxygen metabolites. Octreotide treatment did not alter the serum amylase activity and did not have any beneficial effects on the development of histopathological changes.CONCLUSION: Oxygen-derived free radicals and proinflammatory cytokines are generated at an early stage of NaTc-induced acute pancreatitis in rabbits. 9Golgi protein-73:A biomarker for assessing cirrhosis and prognosis of liver disease patients显示文摘BACKGROUND Reliable biomarkers of cirrhosis,hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),or progression of chronic liver diseases are missing.In this context,Golgi protein-73(GP73)also called Golgi phosphoprotein-2,was originally defined as a resident Golgi type II transmembrane protein expressed in epithelial cells.As a result,GP73 expression was found primarily in biliary epithelial cells,with only slight detection in hepatocytes.However,in patients with acute or chronic liver diseases and especially in HCC,the expression of GP73 is significantly up-regulated in hepatocytes.So far,few studies have assessed GP73 as a diagnostic or prognostic marker of liver fibrosis and disease progression.AIM To assess serum GP73 efficacy as a diagnostic marker of cirrhosis and/or HCC or as predictor of liver disease progression.METHODS GP73 serum levels were retrospectively determined by a novel GP73 ELISA(QUANTA Lite®GP73,Inova Diagnostics,Inc.,Research Use Only)in a large cohort of 632 consecutive patients with chronic viral and non-viral liver diseases collected from two tertiary Academic centers in Larissa,Greece(n=366)and Debrecen,Hungary(n=266).Aspartate aminotransferase(AST)/Platelets(PLT)ratio index(APRI)was also calculated at the relevant time points in all patients.Two hundred and three patients had chronic hepatitis B,183 chronic hepatitis C,198 alcoholic liver disease,28 autoimmune cholestatic liver diseases,15 autoimmune hepatitis,and 5 with other liver-related disorders.The duration of follow-up was 50(57)mo[median(interquartile range)].The development of cirrhosis,liver decompensation and/or HCC during follow-up were assessed according to internationally accepted guidelines.In particular,the surveillance for the development of HCC was performed regularly with ultrasound imaging and alpha-fetoprotein(AFP)determination every 6 mo in cirrhotic and every 12 mo in non-cirrhotic patients.RESULTS Increased serum levels of GP73(>20 units)were detected at initial evaluation in 277 out of 632 patients(43.8%).GP73-seropositivity correlated at baseline with the presence of cirrhosis(96.4%vs 51.5%,P<0.001),decompensation of cirrhosis(60.3%vs 35.5%,P<0.001),presence of HCC(18.4%vs 7.9%,P<0.001)and advanced HCC stage(52.9%vs 14.8%,P=0.002).GP73 had higher diagnostic accuracy for the presence of cirrhosis compared to APRI score[Area under the curve(AUC)(95%CI):0.909(0.885-0.934)vs 0.849(0.813-0.886),P=0.003].Combination of GP73 with APRI improved further the accuracy(AUC:0.925)compared to GP73(AUC:0.909,P=0.005)or APRI alone(AUC:0.849,P<0.001).GP73 levels were significantly higher in HCC patients compared to non-HCC[22.5(29.2)vs 16(20.3)units,P<0.001)and positively associated with BCLC stage[stage 0:13.9(10.8);stage A:17.1(16.8);stage B:19.6(22.3);stage C:32.2(30.8);stage D:45.3(86.6)units,P<0.001]and tumor dimensions[very early:13.9(10.8);intermediate:19.6(18.4);advanced:29.1(33.6)units,P=0.004].However,the discriminative ability for HCC diagnosis was relatively low[AUC(95%CI):0.623(0.570-0.675)].Kaplan-Meier analysis showed that the detection of GP73 in patients with compensated cirrhosis at baseline,was prognostic of higher rates of decompensation(P=0.036),HCC development(P=0.08),and liver-related deaths(P<0.001)during follow-up.CONCLUSION GP73 alone appears efficient for detecting cirrhosis and superior to APRI determination.In combination with APRI,its diagnostic performance can be further improved.Most importantly,the simple GP73 measurement proved promising for predicting a worse outcome of patients with both viral and nonviral chronic liver diseases.Nikolaos K Gatselis Tamás Tornai Zakera Shums Kalliopi Zachou Asterios Saitis Stella Gabeta Roger Albesa Gary L Norman Mária Papp George N Dalekos 2020World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,34:21

11苦参碱对白血病细胞癌基因和细胞周期调控蛋白表达的影响显示文摘目的:探讨在苦参碱诱导下,白血病细胞株K562增殖和分化时相关癌基因及细胞周期调控蛋白表达的改变及意义。方法:应用分子生物学 Northern Blot和 Dot Blot杂交技术检测人红白血病细胞株 K562在苦参碱作用后的c-myc、N-ras 及 p53 mRNA表达;同时用 Western Blotting-ECL分析苦参碱作用前、后24、48、72,小时K562 细胞CyclinD1,CyclinE,Cdk2,Cdk5的不同表达水平。结果:在增殖的 K562细胞(培养48小时)中,伴随着 DNA合成增加,CyclinE和 Cdk2保持高表达;而在苦参碱作用24小时分化启动的细胞中,随着DNA合成减少,N-ras、p53mRNA表达增强; c-myc mRNA表达明显受抑;同时 CyclinD, Cdk5表达增强。结论:苦参碱抑制 K562细胞增殖并诱导分化可能与相关癌基因表达和 CyclinD1/Cdk5,CyclinE/Cdk2不同表达有关。张莉萍 蒋纪恺 Joe Tam 2001中国肿瘤临床2001,28,5:16
12Pathological mechanisms and therapeutic strategies for Alzheimer's disease显示文摘Alzheimer's disease is a rather complex neurodegenerative disease,which is attributed to a combination of multiple factors.Among the many pathological pathways,synaptic dysfunctions,such as synapses loss and deficits in synaptic plasticity,were thought to be strongly associated with cognitive decline.The deficiencies in various sorts of neurotransmissions are responsible for the multifarious neurodegenerative symptoms in Alzheimer's disease,for example,the cholinergic and glutamatergic deficits for cognitive decline,the excitatory and inhibitory neurotransmission dyshomeostasis for synaptic plasticity deficits and epileptiform symptoms,and the monoamine neurotransmission for neuropsychiatric symptoms.Amyloid cascade hypothesis is the most popular pathological theory to explain Alzheimer's disease pathogenesis and attracts considerable attention.Multiple lines of genetic and pathological evidence support the predominant role of amyloid beta in Alzheimer's disease pathology.Neurofibrillary tangles assembled by microtubule-associated protein tau are other important histopathological characteristics in Alzheimer's disease brains.Cascade of tau toxicity was proved to lead to neuron damage,neuroinflammation and oxidative stress in brain.Ageing is the main risk factor of neurodegenerative diseases,and is associated with inflammation,oxidative stress,reduced metabolism,endocrine insufficiencies and organ failures.These aging related risk factors were also proved to be some of the risk factors contributing to Alzheimer's disease.In Alzheimer's disease drug development,many good therapeutic strategies have been investigated in clinical evaluations.However,complex mechanism of Alzheimer's disease and the interplay among different pathological factors call for the come out of allpowerful therapies with multiple curing functions.This review seeks to summarize some of the representative treatments targeting different pathological pathways currently under clinical evaluations.Multi-target therapies as an emerging strategy for Alzheimer's disease treatment will be highlighted.Yaojun Ju Kin Yip Tam 2022Neural Regeneration Research2022,17,3:16
13A nuclear import inhibitory peptide ameliorates the severity of cholecystokinin-induced acute pancreatitis显示文摘AIM: To assess the effect of our novel cell-permeable nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-κB) inhibitor peptide PN50 in an experimental model of acute pancreatitis. PN50 was produced by conjugating the cell-penetrating penetratin peptide with the nuclear localization signal of the NF-κB p50 subunit.METHODS: Pancreatitis was induced in male Wistar rats by administering 2×100 μg/kg body weight of cholecystokininoctapeptide (CCK) intraperitoneally (IP) at an interval of 1 h. PN50-treated animals received 1 mg/kg of PN50 IP 30 min before or after the CCK injections. 14Metamorphism of the northern Liaoning Complex:Implications for the tectonic evolution of Neoarchean basement of the Eastern Block,North China Craton显示文摘As one of the areas where typical late Archean crust is exposed in the Eastern Block of the North China Craton,the northern Laioning Complex consists principally of tonalitic-trondhjemitic-granodioritic(TTG) gneisses,massive granitoids and supracrustal rocks.The supracrustal rocks,named the Qingyuan Group, consist of interbedded amphibolite,hornblende granulite,biotite granulite and B1F.Petrological evidence indicates that the amphibolites experienced the early prograde(M1),peak(M2) and post-peak(M3) metamorphism.The early prograde assemblage(M1) is preserved as mineral inclusions,represented by actinotite + hornblende + plagioclase + epidote + quartz + sphene,within garnet porphyroblasts.The peak assemblage(M2) is indicated by garnet + clinopyroxene + hornblende + plagioclase + quartz + ilmenite, which occur as major mineral phases in the rock.The post-peak assemblage(M3) is characterized by the garnet + quartz symplectite.The P—T pseudosections in the NCFMASHTO system constructed by using THERMOCALC define the P-T conditions of Ml,M2 and M3 at 490-550℃/<4.5 kbar,780-810℃/7.65- 8.40 kbar and 630-670℃/8.15-9.40 kbar,respectively.As a result,an anticlockwise P-T path involving isobaric cooling is inferred for the metamorphic evolution of the amphibolites.Such a P-T path suggests that the late Archean metamorphism of the northern Liaoning Complex was related to the intrusion and underplating of mantle-derived magmas.The underplating of voluminous mantle-derived magmas leading to metamorphism with an anticlockwise P-T path involving isobaric cooling may have occurred in continental magmatic arc regions,above hot spots driven by mantle plumes,or in continental rift environments. 16Anaerobic biodegradation of PAHs in mangrove sediment with amendment of NaHCO_3显示文摘Mangrove sediment is unique in chemical and biological properties. Many of them suffer polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon(PAH) contamination. However, the study on PAH biological remediation for mangrove sediment is deficient. Enriched PAH-degrading microbial consortium and electron acceptor amendment are considered as two effective measures. Compared to other electron acceptors, the study on CO2, which is used by methanogens, is still seldom. This study investigated the effect of Na HCO3 amendment on the anaerobic biodegradation of four mixed PAHs, namely fluorene(Fl), phenanthrene(Phe),fluoranthene(Flua) and pyrene(Pyr), with or without enriched PAH-degrading microbial consortium in mangrove sediment slurry. The trends of various parameters, including PAH concentrations, microbial population size, electron-transport system activities, electron acceptor and anaerobic gas production were monitored. The results revealed that the inoculation of enriched PAH-degrading consortium had a significant effect with half lives shortened by 7–13 days for 3-ring PAHs and 11–24 days for 4-ring PAHs. 17中国大陆地区精神分裂症患者奥氮平治疗引起体质量增加的相关因素分析显示文摘目的 分析中国大陆地区精神分裂症患者奥氮平治疗期间体质量增加的相关因素.方法 采用事后分析方法,对1项多国家及地区关于奥氮平治疗的观察性研究中国大陆地区330例精神分裂症患者的临床数据进行分析.结果 奥氮平治疗6个月,中国大陆地区患者平均体质量增加(4.5±4.0)kg,145例(47.2%)患者出现有临床意义的体质量增加(CSWG);其中,94例(29.6%)患者在治疗2个月后出现早期CSWG,其6个月时体质量增加的总体幅度(7.5 kg)大于无早期CSWG患者(2.7 kg),二者比较差异有统计学意义(P〈0.01).有10项因素与治疗中体质量增加相关,分别为思想沉湎于食物(5.1 kg)、晚上吃零食(5.4 kg)、需过量进食方有饱感(4.9 kg)、进食红肉(5.0 kg)、餐后有舒适的饱感(5.0 kg)、每天的连续行走量(4.9 kg)、最主要进餐场所(4.9 kg)、社交活动(5.6 kg)、性别和进餐规律性(男性5.1 kg,女性4.5 kg,进餐无规律5.0 kg).结论 思想沉湎于食物、晚上吃零食、需过量进食方有饱感、进食红肉、餐后有舒适的饱感、每天的连续行走量、最主要进餐场所、社交活动、性别和进餐规律性与中国大陆地区精神分裂症患者奥氮平治疗期间体质量相关.昂秋青 唐济生 赵靖平 胡建 江开达 李惠春 李鸣 王刚 王高华 谢世平 杨甫德 张晋碚 Pritibha Singh Susanna Holt Tamás Treuer 2011中华精神科杂志2011,44,3:13

20脑外伤后认知障碍社区康复的可行性研究显示文摘目的:了解认知康复服务的需求,有关专业人士的认知康复知识水平以及他们对创新性认知康复的态度和接受程度,以便帮助制定认知障碍社区康复计划。方法:采用自行设计的结构式问卷调查表,155名神经外科医生、康复科医生、康复治疗师、护士等接受了问卷调查。结果:95.4%的调查对象认为在中国有必要开展脑外伤后的认知障碍康复。按康复的重要性需要优先考虑的前4个问题为∶语言能力、记忆力、定向力、注意力;脑外伤后康复场所的重要性依次为∶家庭、医院、社区;三种康复训练方法的重要性依次为∶面对面方式、电脑辅助方式、网上远程指导方式。家庭是首选的康复场所、“面对面”是主要康复方式。康复训练方式与康复场所之间存在良好的相关关系,即相对于其他训练方式,在家庭或医院人们更愿意选择“面对面”训练;对于远程指导而言,在家中则比医院能更好地发挥作用。结论:①认知康复服务正在快速发展并获得有关专业人士的大力支持;②“面对面”训练仍是认知康复主要服务方式;③在家中开展认知康复远程指导也是一项合适的服务选择,以家庭为基础的康复是社区康复的重要内容,网上和/或远程指导的认知康复服务值得大力提倡;④需进一步探讨创新性认知康复服务方式的有效性和实用性。窦祖林 Man DWK 朱洪翔 欧海宁 TamS F Hui-Chan CWY 2003中国康复医学杂志2003,18,5:12
