1Expression of cell adhesion molecule CD44 in gastric adenocarcinoma and its prognostic importance显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the relation of cluster of differentiation 44 (CD44) expression with clinicopathological features of gastric adenocarcinoma, and also its effect on prognosis with an emphasis on the differences between intestinal and diffuse types. METHODS: From 2000 to 2006, 100 patients with gastric adenocarcinoma, who had undergone total or subtotal gastrectomy without any prior treatment, were studied. Haematoxylin & eosin (HE) staining was used for histological evaluation, including the type (Lauren's classifi cation) and grading of the tumor. The expression of CD44 in the gastric adenocarcinoma mucosa and the adjacent mucosa were determined by immunohistochemistry. The survival analysis was obtained using the Kaplan-Meier test. RESULTS: Of 100 patients, 74 (74%) patients were male. The tumors were categorized as intestinal type (78%) or diffuse type (22%). Sixty-five percent of patients were CD44-positive. CD44 expression was not detected in normal gastric mucosa. Rather, CD44 was more commonly expressed in the intestinal subtype (P = 0.002). A signifi cant relation was seen between the grade of tumor and the expression of CD44 (P = 0.014). The survival analysis showed a poor prognosis of patients with CD44-positive tumors (P = 0.008); and this was more prominent in the intestinal (P = 0.001) rather than diffuse type. CONCLUSION: Cell adhesion molecule CD44 is highly expressed in gastric adenocarcinoma. CD44 expression is correlated with a poor prognosis in patients with the intestinal type of gastric adenocarcinoma. 2Kinematic Analysis and Design of a 3-DOF Translational Parallel Robot显示文摘Parallel mechanisms are widely used in various fields of engineering and industrial applications such as machine tools, flight simulators, earthquake simulators, medical equipment, etc. Parallel mechanisms are restricted to some limitations such as irregular workspace, existence of singular points and complexity of control systems which should be studied and analyzed for effective and efficient use. In this research, a new machine tool with parallel mechanism which has three translational degrees of freedom is studied and the workspace and singular points are determined by deriving analytical equations and then utilizing of Matlab software. To do so, forward and inverse kinematics of the mechanism are obtained and workspace and singular points are calculated using a search algorithm.Afterward, in order to validate the results, the proposed mechanism is simulated in automatic dynamics analysis of mechanical systems(ADAMS) software. 3Synthesis of nanocrystalline γ-Al_2O_3 by sol-gel and precipitation methods for methanol dehydration to dimethyl ether显示文摘The capability of sol-gel and conventional precipitation techniques for the synthesis of nanocrystalline γ-alumina was investigated. These catalysts were used for vapor-phase dehydration of methanol to dimethyl ether in a fixed-bed reactor under the same operating conditions (T = 300 ?C, P = 1 bar, LHSV = 2.8, 11.7, 26.1 h?1) and characterized by means of N2 adsorption-desorption, NH3-TPD, XRD, TGA and SEM techniques. 4Hybrid Dynamic Neural Network and PID Control of Pneumatic Artificial Muscle Using the PSO Algorithm显示文摘Pneumatic artificial muscles(PAM)have been recently considered as a prominent challenge regarding pneumatic actuators specifically for rehabilitation and medical applications.Since accomplishing accurate control of the PAM is comparatively complicated due to time-varying behavior,elasticity and ambiguous characteristics,a high performance and efficient control approach should be adopted.Besides of the mentioned challenges,limited course length is another predicament with the PAM control.In this regard,this paper proposes a new hybrid dynamic neural network(DNN)and proportional integral derivative(PID)controller for the position of the PAM.In order to enhance the proficiency of the controller,the problem under study is designed in the form of an optimization trend.Considering the potential of particle swarm optimization,it has been applied to optimally tune the PID-DNN parameters.To verify the performance of the proposed controller,it has been implemented on a real-time system and compared to a conventional sliding mode controller.Simulation and experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed controller in tracking the reference signals in the entire course of the PAM.Mahdi Chavoshian Mostafa Taghizadeh Mahmood Mazare 2020International Journal of Automation and computing2020,17,3:3
5Optimization of hydrothermal synthesis of H-ZSM-5 zeolite for dehydration of methanol to dimethyl ether using full factorial design显示文摘H-ZSM-5 zeolite was synthesized by hydrothermal method.The effects of different synthesis parameters,such as hydrothermal crystallization temperature(170-190 C) and Si/Al molar ratio(100-150),on the catalytic performance of the dehydration of methanol to dimethyl ether(DME) over the synthesized H-ZSM-5 zeolite were studied.The catalysts were characterized by N 2 adsorption-desorption,XRD,NH 3-TPD,TGA/DTA,and SEM techniques.The full factorial design of experiments was applied to the synthesis of H-ZSM-5 zeolite and the effects of synthesis conditions and their interaction on the yield of DME as the response variable were determined.Analysis of variance showed that two variables and their interaction significantly affected the response.According to the experimental results,the optimized catalyst prepared at 170 C with the Si/Al molar ratio of 100 showed the best catalytic performance among the tested H-ZSM-5 zeolite.Samaneh Hosseini Majid Taghizadeh Ali Eliassi 2012Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2012,21,3:3
6Synthesis of highly selective and stable mesoporous Ni-Ce/SAPO-34 nanocatalyst for methanol-to-olefin reaction:Role of polar aprotic N,N-dimethylformamide solvent显示文摘A series of mesoporous nanocrystalline silicoaluminophosphate (SAPO)zeolites (SAPO-34)were synthesized via an ultrasonic and microwave-assisted hydrothermal method in the presence of [3- (trimethoxysilyl)propyl]octadecyldimethylammonium chloride and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide surfactants as soft templates.Nickel and cerium were then doped on SAPO-34using incorporation and impregnation methods,and all the catalysts were applied to the methanol-to-olefin (MTO)reaction. The catalysts were characterized using X-ray diffraction,field-emission scanning electron microcopy, inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectroscopy,transmission electron microscopy,Fourier- transform infrared spectroscopy,Brunauer-Emmett-Teller analysis,NH3temperature-programmed desorption analysis,and thermogravimetric analysis.For the impregnation method,the effect of using protic or aprotic solvents as impregnation media on the physico-chemical properties of the metal-based SAPO-34was investigated.Water and N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF)were employed as the protic and aprotic solvents,respectively.The catalyst prepared using the aprotic DMF solvent exhibited higher dispersion and lower aggregation of metal species compared with that prepared using the protic water solvent.Furthermore,the sample synthesized using the incorporation method exhibited good catalytic performance;however,the Ni-Ce[SAPO-34 sample prepared using the impregnation method and aprotic DMF solvent exhibited superior catalytic performance in the MTO reaction.Hossein Akhoundzadeh Majid Taghizadeh Hassan Sharifi Pajaie 2018Particuology2018,16,5:2
7Micromorphological Evidences of Climatic Change in Yazd Region,Iran显示文摘The fact of, present is the key of the past, will help us to use paleosols properties as indicators of the ecological characteristics of past time, particularly the paleoclimate. In this respect the micromorphological properties showed to be a very good indicator. Therefore, for investigating of climate change in Ardakan-Yazd plain, Central Iran 9 pedons were digged and described. Yazd has an arid climate with less than 100 mm annual precipitation and more than 22°C mean annual temperature (Aridic-hyper thermic soil moisture and temperature regions, respectively). Based on the morphological and physicochemical analysis Arglic, Calcic and Gypsic diagnostic horizons have been distinguished in these soils. Thin section studied showed that the illuviated form of clay includes, infillings on channel, coating on pendant, on nodules and on grains, at lower depths and also juxtaposed calcite needles on void argillan at upper part of the profiles. Mineralogical result showed fine clay in arglic horizon, too. Considering depth and forms of these pedofeatures, we concluded that, the observed illuviated clays at lower depth must be the result of the more humid climate of the past, where the carbonates have been removed completely as pendant, nodules or coating to considerable depth, following processes, clay has been dispersed and also trans located to these depths. 8Experimental Study and Modeling of an Adiabatic Fixed-bed Reactor for Methanol Dehydration to Dimethyl Ether显示文摘One-dimensional heterogeneous plug flow model was employed to model an adiabatic fixed-bed reactor for the catalytic dehydration of methanol to dimethyl ether.Longitudinal temperature and conversion profiles predicted by this model were compared to those experimentally measured in a bench scale reactor.The reactor was packed with 1.5mm γ-Al2O3 pellets as dehydration catalyst and operated in a temperature range of 543-603K at an atmospheric pressure.Also,the effects of weight hourly space velocity(WHSV)and temperature on methanol conversion were investigated.According to the results,the maximum conversion is obtained at 603.15K with WHSV of 72.87h-1.M. 9Performance assessment of a spiral methanol to hydrogen fuel processor for fuel cell applications显示文摘A novel design of plate-type microchannel reactor has been developed for fuel cell-grade hydrogen production.Commercial Cu/Zn/Al2O3 was used as catalyst for the reforming reaction,and its effectiveness was evaluated on the mole fraction of products,methanol conversion,hydrogen yield and the amount of carbon monoxide under various operating conditions.Subsequently,0.5 wt% Ru/Al2O3 as methanation catalyst was prepared by impregnation method and coupled with MSR step to evaluate the capability of methanol processor for CO reduction.Based on the experimental results,the optimum conditions were obtained as feed flow rate of 5mL/h and temperature of 250℃,leading to a low CO selectivity and high H2 yield.The designed reformer with catalyst coated layer was compared with the conventional packed bed reformer at the same operating conditions.The constructed fuel processor had a good performance and excellent capability for on-board hydrogen production.Foad Mehri Majid Taghizadeh 2012Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2012,21,5:2
10Viscosity prediction in selected Iranian light oil reservoirs:Artificial neural network versus empirical correlations显示文摘Viscosity is a parameter that plays a pivotal role in reservoir fluid estimations. Several approaches have been presented in the literature (Beal, 1946; Khan et al, 1987; Beggs and Robinson, 1975; Kartoatmodjo and Schmidt, 1994; Vasquez and Beggs, 1980; Chew and Connally, 1959; Elsharkawy and Alikhan, 1999; Labedi, 1992) for predicting the viscosity of crude oil. However, the results obtained by these methods have significant errors when compared with the experimental data. In this study a robust artificial neural network (ANN) code was developed in the MATLAB software environment to predict the viscosity of Iranian crude oils. The results obtained by the ANN and the three well-established semi-empirical equations (Khan et al, 1987; Elsharkawy and Alikhan, 1999; Labedi, 1992) were compared with the experimental data. The prediction procedure was carried out at three different regimes: at, above and below the bubble-point pressure using the PVT data of 57 samples collected from central, southern and offshore oil fields of Iran. 14Analysis of simultaneous effect of water access requirements in Regional Water Corporation ofWest- Azerbaijan and risk factor on cultivation optimal pattern显示文摘In vast farms management,especially in multi-crop cultivation case,planning for a combination of crops cultivation has always been of high importance to achieve the maximum income,by taking into account imposed limitations and the risk of different activities.According to the fact that in traditional models of farm programming because of not attention to risk,its results differ from what farmer do in reality,considering the risk farm programming should be well thought.MOTAD model(Minimization of the Total Absolute Deviation)is a mathematic programming model that enters risk into decision making related to farm activities and provides different programs.A main feature of this model is that the risk is calculated by negative deviation from efficiency amount as total multiplication.In recent years,serious declining of water table problem forced Regional Water Corporation of West-Azerbaijan province to impose limitations for extra water use of wells in order to sustain'Mako,Poldasht'water resources.These limitations result in lowering available water level(The most important input for farming),and create changes in cropping patterns and income level of farmers in this area.The aim of this study is analyzing improved cropping considering water limitations and in risk conditions.Data have been collected from farmers and Agriculture'Jihad'Management of town of Mako for duration of 1387-1388.According to the results of the research,the real cultivation plan that is now being implemented throughout the region carries a high risk and low income.Based on results,if the farmer uses the optimal cultivation pattern during the so-called water access limitation,watermelon harvest will be excluded from the optimal cultivation pattern.Also,alfalfa will enter the cultivation plan with the expected income level of 1067 billion Rials(100 Rials=US$0.01).If the farmer uses improved cropping pattern in limitations in risk it will decrease total income as 171.36 billion Rials,to when the water limitations is not implemented.Sepideh Taghizadeh Hossein Navid Mostafa Jamshidifar Reza Fellegari 2011International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2011,4,3:1
