1新生儿惊厥的诊断与处理(英文)显示文摘新生儿会发生各种形式的发作性运动,其中有些是癫癎性的惊厥,有些则不是。如何去识别是件困难的事。目前尚缺乏新生儿惊厥诊断与处理的全球性指南。该讲座在全面复习新生儿惊厥的文献并结合作者丰富的临床经验的基础上提出一个处理新生儿惊厥的方案。新生儿惊厥病因很多,缺氧-缺血性脑病和感染是最常见的原因,新生儿中风、遗传代谢病也逐渐被认识。病因是新生儿惊厥结局好坏的主要决定因素。视频-EEG是鉴别癫癎性惊厥与非癫癎惊厥的金标准。苯巴比妥依然是新生儿惊厥的首选药。足量苯巴比妥治疗无效时可考虑使用苯妥英、咪达唑仑或氯硝安定等。顽固性的惊厥,早期可试用吡哆醇、磷酸吡哆醛、叶酸和生物素治疗。对没有惊厥表现的脑电图发作的是否需要治疗有待于进一步的研究。Shashikant Subramani SESHIA Richard James HUNTSMAN Noel John LOWRY Mary SESHIA Jerome Yale YAGER Koravangattu SANKARAN 马丽亚 2011中国当代儿科杂志2011,13,2:9
2Plant-Based Rasayana Drugs from Ayurveda显示文摘Rasayana tantra is one of the eight specialties of Ayurveda.It is a specialized practice in the form of rejuvenative recipes,dietary regimen,special health promoting behaviour and drugs.Properly administered Rasayana can bestow the human being with several benefits like longevity,memory,intelligence,freedom from diseases,youthful age,excellence of luster,complexion and voice,optimum strength of physique and sense organs,respectability and brilliance.Various types of plant based Rasayana recipes are mentioned in Ayurveda. 4Cytotoxic and antibacterial substances against multi-drug resistant pathogens from marine sponge symbiont:Citrinin,a secondary metabolite of Penicillium sp.显示文摘Objective:To Isolate,purify,characterize,and evaluate the bioaclive compounds from the sponge-derived fungus Penicillium sp.FF001 and to elucidate its structure.Methods:The fungal strain FF001 with an interesting bioactivity profile was isolated from a marine Fijian sponge Melophlus sp.Based on conidiophores aggregation,conidia development and mycelia morphological characteristics,the isolate FF001 was classically identified as a Penicillium sp.The bioactive compound was identified using various spectral analysis of UV,high resolution electrospray ionization mass spectra,1H and 13C NMR spectral data.Further minimum inhibitory concentrations(MICs)assay and brine shrimp cytotoxicity assay were also carried out to evaluate the biological properties of the purified compound.Results:Bioassay guided fractionation of the EtOAc extract of a static culture of this Penicillium sp.by different chromatographic methods led the isolation of an antibacterial,anticryptococcal and cytotoxic active compound,which was identified as citrinin(1).Further,citrinin(1)is reported for its potent antibacterial activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(S.aureus),rifampicin-resistant 5.aureus,wild type S.aureus and vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium showed MICs of 3.90,0.97,1.95 and7.81μg/mL,respectively.Further citrinin(1)displayed significant activity against the pathogenic yeast Cryptococcus neoformans(MIC 3.90μg/mL),and exhibited cytotoxicity against brine shrimp larvae LD_(50)of 96μg/mL.Conclusions:Citrinin(1)is reported from sponge associated Penicillium sp.from this study and for its strong antibacterial activity against multi-drug resistant human pathogens including cytotoxicity against brine shrimp larvae,which indicated that sponge associated Penicillium spp.are promising sources of natural bioactive metabolites.Ramesh Subramani Rohitesh Kumar Pritesh Prasad William Aalbersberg 2013Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2013,3,4:6
5A novel n-CeO2/n-CdO heterojunction nanocomposite for enhanced photodegradation of organic pollutants under visible light irradiation显示文摘In this study,a series of novel visible light driven n-CeO2/n-CdO heterojunction(CeO2/CdO)nanoco mposites we re successfully fabricated by simple ultrasonication method.Several characte rization tools including X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electro n microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(UV-DRS),etc.,were utilized to investigate the physicochemical properties of the catalyst and confirm the formation of heterojunction.Under visible light irradiations,the photocatalytic activities of the as-prepared CeO2/CdO nanocomposites were evaluated by degrading of Congo red(CR)and Rhodamine B(RhB)solutions.As a result,the CeO2/CdO(mass percentage ratio 1:3)nanocomposite displays remarkable performance for CR and RhB degradation.The enhancement in the photocatalytic performance of CeO2/CdO(1:3)nanocomposite can be attributed not only to the strong visible-light absorption region,separating the photogenerated electronhole pairs but also to the formation of n-n type heterojunction.The results also indicate that the CeO2/CdO(1:3)nanocomposite has good stabilization and high reusability.In addition,the mechanism is proposed for the coupled semiconductors and possible reasons for the enhancement of visible-light photocatalytic efficiency are also discussed.This work can provide a new gateway to fabricate visible photocatalysts and promising candidate catalysts for poisonous wastewater treatment in the near future.Karunamoorthy Saravanakumar Subramani Muthupoongodi Velluchamy Muthuraj 2019Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,8:6

7Hesperetin conjugated PEGylated gold nanoparticles exploring the potential role in anti-inflammation and anti-proliferation during diethylnitrosamine-induced hepatocarcinogenesis in rats显示文摘Liver cancer is the fifth most common cancer and one of the leading causes of death in the world, and second most common cause of death in men. Natural products emerge as the most enduring approaches in the development of anticancer targeting drug. Hesperetin(HP), one of the abundant flavonoids found naturally in citrus fruits, has received considerable attention in anti-cancer promotion and progression. The present study was conducted to decipher the role of 0.5 ml hesperetin conjugated gold nanoparticles(Au-m PEG(5000)-S-HP NPs) during diethylnitrosamine(DEN)-induced hepatocarcinogenesis in male Wistar albino rats and shows the better antioxidant that possesses anti-inflammatory,anti-proliferation and anticarcinogenic properties and may modulate signaling pathways.The confirmation of polymer functionalized gold nanoparticles and drug loaded polymer gold nanoparticles were characterized by HR-TEM with EDAX, and DLS with Zeta potential techniques. The drug encapsulation efficiency and release properties were carried out in PBS at pH 7.4 for Au-mPEG(5000)-S-HP and compared with the control pure hesperetin(HP).Here, we review the role of mast cell counts, tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α), transcription factor nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB), levels of glycoconjugates, proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA) and argyrophilic nucleolar organizing regions, are the master regulator of inflammation and proliferation, in the development of hepatocellular injury, liver fibrosis and HCC. DEN-administered animals showed increased mast cell counts, tumor necrosis factor alpha, transcription factor nuclear factor-κB, glycoconjugates, proliferating cell nuclear antigen, and argyrophilic nucleolar organizing regions. Whereas Au-mPEG(5000)-S-HP NPs supplementation considerably suppressed all the above abnormalities. 8结核病的性别差异:南印度某农村地区DOTS项目报告显示文摘背景:南印度 Tiruvallur 地区。目的:了解 14 岁以上成年人在结核感染和患病、就医途径、就医行为、诊断延误、接受 DOT的方便程度、疾病歧视以及治疗依从性等方面的性别差异。方法:相关数据主要来自:1)社区调查,2)在公立初级保健卫生机构(PHIS)主动就医的病人,3)转诊到 PHIS 进行痰涂片检查的可疑结核病人;4)DOTS 策略下的登记报告结核病人。并将社区调查结果与 PHIS 登记病人进行比较。结果:社区人群中 66%的男性和 57%的女性感染了结核菌;男性和女性的涂阳肺结核患病率分别为568/10 万和87/10 万。在 PHIS 就医的男性少于女性,男女之比为 68:100。女性占社区调查发现涂阳病人的 13%;占 PHIS 发现病人的 20%(P<0.05)。随着年龄的增长,男性和女性的登记率显著降低。女性感觉难于与家人讨论自己病情的比例要高于男性(21%∶14%),也更需要有人陪伴去接受 DOT(11%∶6%)。男性的治疗中断率比女性高 1 倍(19%∶8%;P<0.01)。结论:尽管女性发病后更容易遭受歧视和不便,但女性更易于利用医疗服务、接受 DOTS 策略登记以及依从治疗。而男性以及高龄病人在诊断和 DOT服务方面更需要帮助。R. 9L-鸟氨酸及其取代衍生物的结构和性质分析(英文)显示文摘L-ornithine is a metabolic product of L-arginine and is found in the liver and other tissues after the enzyme arginase in the urea cycle catalyses the reaction.The presence of L-ornithine has an influence on certain biochemical activities such as the proliferation of collagen production and also has an effect on airway responsiveness.Therefore,it has a role to play in the availability of nitric oxide(NO).A brief reactivity study was carried out for various substituents at the α-C atom of this amino acid.Substituents such as chlorine and fluorine affect the reactivity of the entire molecule and may alter the properties of the amino acid.To understand the properties of molecule,a detailed study was done at the density functional theory(DFT) level and compared with ab initio calculations.Fukui functions were invoked to assess reactivity and stability.The descriptive properties were correlated to logP or pKa using available software to help build a model to quantitatively assess properties and reactivity.Results showed a random reactivity pattern upon halogen substitution and this indicates the need to exercise caution during docking and reactivity studies.MOHAMED IMRAN P.K SUBRAMANI K 2009物理化学学报2009,25,11:4

13Rectal ulcers and massive bleeding after hemorrhoidal band ligation while on aspirin显示文摘Endoscopic hemorrhoidal band ligation is a well-established nonoperative method for treatment of bleeding internal hemorrhoids(grade 1 to 3). It is a safe and effective technique with a high success rate. Complications with this procedure are uncommon. Although rectal ulceration due to band ligation is a rare complication, it can cause life-threatening hemorrhage especially when patients are on medications which impair hemostasis like aspirin or non steroidal antiinflammatory drugs. We present 2 cases of massive lower gastro-intestinal bleeding in patients who had a band ligation procedure performed 2 wk prior to the presentation and were on aspirin at home. Both the patients were hemodynamically unstable requiring resuscitation. They required platelet and blood transfusions and were found to have rectal ulcers on colonoscopy done subsequently. The rectal ulcers corresponded to the site of band ligation. The use of aspirin by these patients would have caused defects in the hemostasis and may have predisposed them to massive bleeding in the presence of rectal ulcers occurring after the band ligation procedure. Managing aspirin before and after the ligation may be difficult especially since adequate guidelines are unavailable.
