1Design, Preparation and Properties of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Ultra-High Temperature Ceramic Composites for Aerospace Applications: A Review显示文摘Carbon fiber reinforced ultra-high temperature ceramic(UHTC) composites, consisting of carbon fibers embedded in a UHTC-matrix or a C–SiC–UHTC-matrix, are deemed as the most viable class of materials that can overcome the poor fracture toughness and thermal shock resistance of monolithic UHTC materials, and also improve the oxidation resistance and ablation resistance of C/C and C/SiC composites at ultra-high temperatures. In this review, we summarize the different processing routes of the composites based on the UHTC introducing methods, including chemical vapor infiltration/deposition(CVI/D),precursor infiltration and pyrolysis(PIP), reactive melt infiltration(RMI), slurry infiltration(SI), in-situ reaction, hot pressing(HP), etc; and the advantages and drawbacks of each method are briefly discussed. The carbon fiber reinforced UHTC composites can be highly tailorable materials in terms of fiber,interface, and matrix. From the perspective of service environmental applications for engine propulsions and hypersonic vehicles, the material designs(mainly focusing on the composition, quantity, structure of matrix, as well as the architecture of carbon fibers, UHTCs and pores), their relevant processing routes and properties(emphasizing on the mechanical and ablation properties) are discussed in this paper. 2One-year clinical study of NeuroR egen scaffold implantation following scar resection in complete chronic spinal cord injury patients显示文摘The objective of this clinical study was to assess the safety and feasibility of the collagen scaffold, Neuro Regen scaffold, one year after scar tissue resection and implantation. Scar tissue is a physical and chemical barrier that prevents neural regeneration. However, identification of scar tissue is still a major challenge. In this study, the nerve electrophysiology method was used to distinguish scar tissue from normal neural tissue, and then different lengths of scars ranging from 0.5–4.5 cm were surgically resected in five complete chronic spinal cord injury(SCI) patients. The NeuroR egen scaffold along with autologous bone marrow mononuclear cells(BMMCs), which have been proven to promote neural regeneration and SCI recovery in animal models, were transplanted into the gap in the spinal cord following scar tissue resection. No obvious adverse effects related to scar resection or Neuro Regen scaffold transplantation were observed immediately after surgery or at the 12-month follow-up. In addition, patients showed partially autonomic nervous function improvement, and the recovery of somatosensory evoked potentials(SSEP) from the lower limbs was also detected. 3Human placenta-derived mesenchymal stem cells loaded on linear ordered collagen scaffold improves functional recovery after completely transected spinal cord injury in canine显示文摘Traumatic spinal cord injury(SCI) is a major challenge in the clinic. In this study, we sought to examine the synergistic effects of linear ordered collagen scaffold(LOCS) and human placenta-derived mesenchymal stem cells(hPMSCs) when transplanted into completely transected beagle dogs. After 36 weeks observation, we found that LOCS+hPMSCs implants promoted better hindlimb locomotor recovery than was observed in the non-treatment(control) group and LOCS group. Histological analysis showed that the regenerated tissue after treatment was well integrated with the host tissue, and dramatically reduced the volume of cystic and chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans(CSPGs) expression. Furthermore, the LOCS+hPMSCs group also showed more neuron-specific βIII-tubulin(Tuj-1)-and NeuN-positive neurons in the lesion area, as well as axonal regeneration, remyelination and synapse formation in the lesion site. Additionally, dogs in the LOCS+hPMSCs group experienced enhanced sprouting of both ascending(CGRP-positive) sensory fibers and descending(5-HT-and TH-positive) motor fibers at the lesion area. All these data together suggested that the combined treatment had beneficial effects on neuronal regeneration and functional improvement in a canine complete transection model. 6Efficient Protocols for the General Millionaires' Problem显示文摘Secure multiparty computation(SMC) is a research focusing in the international cryptographic community. The protocols used to address the millionaires' problem are the basic building blocks of most SMC protocols and their efficiency dominates that of many other SMC protocols. To the best of our knowledge, almost all protocols used to address the millionaires' problem are based on integers, which means that their applications are limited. In this study, we propose precise and efficient protocols for rational numbers based on additively homomorphic encryptions. One of our protocols is inspired by computational geometry and it reduces the millionaires' problem to computing the area of a triangle formed by three private points. This approach can determine whether the relationship between two private inputs is greater than, equal to or less than, and it has a much lower computational complexity compared with existing methods. We proved that these protocols are secure using simulation paradigm. 8Rapid analysis of fifteen sulfonamide residues in pork and fish samples by automated on-line solid phase extraction coupled to liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry显示文摘The aim of this work was to develop an automated on-line solid phase extraction(SPE)with liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method for the detection of fifteen sulfonamides in pork and fish samples.Samples were extracted with 0.2%formic acid acetonitrile solution,purified by on-line SPE device with HLB column,then separated by XBridge C18 column,using 0.1%formic acid solution and acetonitrile as the mobile phase.Mass spectrometric data was acquired under multiple reaction monitoring(MRM)mode using positive ionization electrospray.Internal standard method was used in the quantification,good linear relationship was got in range of 0.1–100 ng/mL and correlation coefficient was higher than 0.9990.The limits of detection were in the range of 0.125–2.00g/kg and the limits of quantitation were in the range of 0.250–5.00g/kg.Recoveries of the method were in range of 78.3%–99.3%,relative standard deviation were lower than 10%.The method was simple,sensitivity,and could be used for routine supervision and analysis of fifteen sulfonamides in pork and fish.Junmei Ma Sufang Fan Lei Sun Liangna He Yan Zhang Qiang Li 2020Food Science and Human Wellness2020,9,4:6
9Properties of Supersulphated Phosphogysum-slag Cement (SSC) Concrete显示文摘Supersulphated phosphogysum-slag cement(SSC) is a newly developed non-burned cementitious material mainly composed of phosphogysum(PG) and ground granulated blast furnace slag(GGBFS), with small amount of steel slag(SS) and clinker(CL). SSC is a kind of environmentally-friendly cementitious material due to its energy-saving, low-carbon emission, and waste-utilization. We prepared concretes with supersulphated phosphogysum-slag cement, and studied the mechanical properties, microproperties and resistance to chloride penetration of concrete in comparison with those of portland slag cement(PSC) and ordinary portland cement(OPC) concrete. The test results show that the compressive strength of SSC concrete can reach 38.6 MPa after 28 d, close to PSC concrete and OPC concrete. Microanalyses indicate that large quantities of ettringite and C-S-H, and little amount of Ca(OH)2 are generated during the hydration of SSC. The dense cement paste structure of SSC is formed by ettringite and C-S-H, surrounded unreacted phosphogysum. 10Recombinant adenovirus-p53(Gendicine) sensitizes a pancreatic carcinoma cell line to radiation显示文摘Objective:In this study,we examine the effects of recombinant adenovirus-p53(rAd-p53)on the pancreatic carcinoma cell line SW1990.Specifically,we determine if expression of rAd-p53 sensitizes these cells to radiation.Methods:Following transfection of SW1990 cells with rAd-p53,we measured expression of P53,P21 and Bax by immunocytochemistry.Both transfected and control cell lines were irradiated with a range of doses,and the survival fractions(SF)were calculated.Dose survival curves were constructed and modeled for comparison.Results:Transfection of SW1990 cells with rAd-p53 resulted in increased expression of P53,P21 and Bax in a time-dependent manner.At 96 h after transfection,89.92%of cells expressed P53,56.8%expressed P21,and 76.50%expressed Bax.The SF following radiation was lower in the rAd-p53 transfected cells compared to the control cells,suggesting that rAd-p53 sensitizes SW1990 cells to radiation(D0for the experimental and control groups was 2.199 and 2.462,respectively).Conclusions:Use of the adenoviral vector is an effective means of transfecting SW1990 cells with wild-type P53,and this sensitizes the cell line to irradiation.This work suggests that combining rAd-p53with radiation therapy in pancreatic cancer may be therapeutically beneficial.Jinluan Li Jianji Pan Xianggao Zhu Ying Su Lingling Bao Sufang Qiu Changyan Zou Yong Cai Junxin Wu Ivan W.K.Tham 2013Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2013,25,6:6

12The Arabidopsis phosphatase PP2C49 negatively regulates salt tolerance through inhibition of At HKT1;1显示文摘Type 2C protein phosphatases(PP2Cs)are the largest protein phosphatase family.PP2Cs dephosphorylate substrates for signaling in Arabidopsis,but the functions of most PP2 Cs remain unknown.Here,we characterized PP2 C49(AT3G62260,a Group G PP2C),which regulates Na^(+)distribution under salt stress and is localized to the cytoplasm and nucleus.PP2C49 was highly expressed in root vascular tissues and its disruption enhanced plant tolerance to salt stress.Compared with wild type,the pp2c49 mutant contained more Na^(+)in roots but less Na^(+)in shoots and xylem sap,suggesting that PP2C49 regulates shoot Na^(+)extrusion.Reciprocal grafting revealed a root-based mechanism underlying the salt tolerance of pp2 c49.Systemic Na+distribution largely depends on AtHKT1;1 and loss of function of AtHKT1;1 in the pp2c49 background overrode the salt tolerance of pp2c49,resulting in salt sensitivity.Furthermore,compared with plants overexpressing PP2C49 in the wild-type background,plants overexpressing PP2C49 in the athtk1;1 mutant background were sensitive to salt,like the athtk1;1 mutants.Moreover,protein-protein interaction and two-voltage clamping assays demonstrated that PP2C49 physically interacts with AtHKT1;1 and inhibits the Na^(+)permeability of AtHKT1;1.This study reveals that PP2C49 negatively regulates AtHKT1;1 activity and thus determines systemic Na^(+)allocation during salt stress.Moli Chu Pengwang Chen Sufang Meng Peng Xu Wenzhi Lan 2021Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,3:5
13A micro-sphere catalyst complex with nano CaCO_3 precursor for hydrogen production used in ReSER process显示文摘This paper describes the preparation and evaluation of a micro-sphere catalytic complex for the hydrogen production in a Reactive Sorption Enhanced Reforming (ReSER) process. The catalytic complex made by a spray technique has a dual function containing Ni as a catalytic material and CaO as an adsorption material used in the ReSER process. The attrition characteristics of the catalytic complex are acceptable for the commercial used. The nano CaCO3 material used as a precursor of CaO showed a desirable durability with a CO2 sorption capacity of 0.6 mol CO2/kg after 10 repeating cycles under the carbonation temperature of 600 ℃, a CO2 partial pressure of 0.02 MPa, and a calcination temperature of 750 ℃ in N2 measured by a thermal gravimetric analyzer. The testing of the catalytic complex for ReSER showed a hydrogen yield of over 95 % (v/v) in the laboratory fixed fluidized bed reactor. 14The essential oil components of Cinnamomum cassia: an analysis under different thinning models of plantation Pinus massoniana显示文摘Thinning is an important activity employed in forest management. To date, studies have mainly focused on the effects of thinning on the growth of trees during the same thinning period. In this study, plantation Pinus massoniana Lamb. near maturity were thinned at varying intensities and an economically important species, Cinnamomum cassia Presl., was planted beneath the thinned canopy. The aim of the study was to explore the effects of the extent of thinning on the essential oil content and its components of C. cassia in different parts of the plant, as well as the economic feasibility of the P. massoniana–C.cassia management model. Thinning significantly reduced the oil yield in the bark and branches of C. cassia, but hardly impacted the oil yield from C. cassia leaves compared with pure C. cassia forest(CK). Among the different thinning treatments, both light(T.4) and extensive(T.1)thinning reduced the oil yield of C. cassia bark and new branches. The concentrations of the main aldehydes differed in different parts of the plant and were affected by the extent of thinning. The influence on cinnamaldehyde in the bark was minor, but was much greater in the branches and leaves. Both the oil yield and content of cinnamaldehyde showed that moderate(T.3) thinning was more favorable than other thinning models. 15Simultaneous determination of 15 pesticide residues in Chinese cabbage and cucumber by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry utilizing online turbulent flow chromatography显示文摘In this experiment,a liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry method was built to determine 15 pesticide residues in Chinese cabbage and cucumber samples based on online turbulent flow chromatography purification.After modified quick,easy,cheap,effective,rugged,and safe(QuEChERS)extraction,extracts were directly injected to the TLX(TurboFlow Liquid Xcalibur)system and brought to TurboFlow™columns for on-line purification and then transferred to analytical column for further separation and analysis.TurboFlow™columns types,transfer flow rate,and transfer time were optimized.Limits of detection and limits of quantification of the method obtained for 15 pesticide residues were ranged between 0.2–1.0μg/kg and 0.5–2.0μg/kg in Chinese cabbage and cucumber samples.Recoveries of pesticide residues were in range of 75.3%–103.7%.Matrix effects for 15 pesticides were in range of 5.6%–106.6%.The developed method has been successfully used for the determination of 15 pesticide residues in real samples.Sufang Fan Junmei Ma Meirong Cao Juan Wang Leilei Zhang Yan Zhang Qiang Li Jia Chen 2021Food Science and Human Wellness2021,10,1:5
16Effects of lanthanum on the growth and essential oil components of lavender under osmotic stress显示文摘The effects of lanthanum on growth, soluble sugar content, essential oil contents and quality were studied in lavender plant(Lavandula Angustifolia Mill, Variety 701) under osmotic stress by means of PEG-6000 solution. The results show that osmotic stress could reduce the growth rate of lavender, and increase the content of SSC(soluble sugar concentration) to some extent. Compared with control group,the contents of essential oil in flowers and leaves respectively increase by 45.6% and 48.3% in the osmotic stress group induced by 15% PEG-6000. However, the presence of lanthanum can make the contents of essential oil in the flowers and leaves of stressed lavender plants enhance by 19.4% and 18.6%, respectively. Under osmotic stress, the relative contents of four kinds of lavender essential oil compositions of camphor, linalool, linalyl acetate and lavandulol acetate in the lavender flowers were successively 22.63%,0.61%,25.46%,7.03%,and 20.17%,0.62%,20.72%,10.80%,respectively in the presence and absence of lanthanum. The contents of all four main components of lavender essential oils meet the requirements of the national standard under osmotic stress in the presence of lanthanum. However, in the absence of lanthanum, the contents of linalyl acetate and lavandulol acetate does not meet the requirements of the national standard under osmotic stress. Moreover, the contents of five components of borneol, camphor,eudesmol, caryophyllene oxide and bicyclic sesquiphellandrene from the essential oil of lavender leaves are 12.89%, 3.84%, 8.76%, 11.30% and 8.10%, respectively. The total content of above five components accounts for 44.89% of the essential oil of the lavender leaves. Particularly, the borneol content in leaf essential oil is up to 12.89%. It is 125.2 times the amount of borneol in the flower essential oil. 17In vitro assessment of thyroid hormone receptor activity of four organophosphate esters显示文摘Previous animal experiments have implied that organophosphate esters(OPEs) have a disruption effect on the thyroid endocrine system. However, knowledge of the toxicological mechanism remains limited. In this study, the activities of four OPEs have been characterized against the thyroid hormone(TH) nuclear receptor(TR) using two in vitro models, with the aim of evaluating their toxicity mechanisms towards the TR. The results of a TH-dependent cell proliferation assay showed that tris(2-chloro-1-(chloromethyl)ethyl)phosphate(TDCPP) could induce cell growth, while the other three OPEs had no effect. The results of a luciferase reporter gene assay revealed that all four of the OPEs tested in the current study showed agonistic activity towards TRβ, with TDCPP being the most potent one. Moreover, molecular docking revealed that all the tested OPEs could fit into the ligand binding pocket of TRβ, with TDCPP binding more effectively than the other three OPEs. 18A preliminary investigation on genetic diversity of Sousa chinensis in the Pearl River Estuary and Xiamen of Chinese waters显示文摘In this study, the mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) control region and the mitochondrial cytochrome b gene of stranded Indo-Pacific humpback dolphin (Sousa chinensis) samples from the Pearl River Estuary and Xiamen waters were sequenced and analyzed. The result of mtDNA control region revealed 34 variable sites and four unique haplotypes (named as A, B, C and D) identified among the total samples from these two water areas, and the most common haplotype (A) was shared by 75% of the dolphins sampled from the two water areas. The haplotypic diversity (h) was 0.455 and the nucleotide diversity (π) was 0.0088. The phylogenetic analysis showed that the hap- lotype A, C, and D were closely related, but the haplotype B (unique for XM01 from Xiamen) was far from the other three. By scanning cytochrome b fragments, two haplotypes (A and B) were identified in these two water areas, and the most common haplotype (A) was shared by 91.67% individuals, while XM01 from Xiamen as the only exception. 20The temporal dynamics of antimicrobial-resistant Salmonella enterica and predominant serovars in China显示文摘Salmonella enterica is one of the most common bacterial pathogens in humans and animals.Systematic studies on the trends and geographical distribution of antimicrobial-resistant Salmonella and dominant serovars have been well studied in European and American countries while not in China.Here,taking the One-Health strategy,we used>35000 Salmonella enterica isolates to explore the temporal and spatial dynamics of dominant serovars in China.We found that Salmonella Typhimurium was the dominant serovar causing human infection in China,which was consistent with Australia but inconsistent with North American and European countries.The proportion of Salmonella serovars Typhimurium,London,Rissen,Corvallis,Meleagridis,Kentucky,and Goldcoast showed an increasing trend during 2006-2019.We randomly selected 1962 isolates for comparative genomics and antimicrobial resistance studies and found that the number of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs)per isolate increased 1.84 and 2.69 times of human and non-human origins,respectively,spanning 14 years.The proportion of antimicrobial-resistant Salmonella isolates had an increasing trend during 2006-2019,especially beta-lactam,quinolone,tetracycline,and rifampicin resistance.Moreover,we found that higher diversity of sequence types(STs)in S.Typhimurium than in other serovars,ST34 from pig and ST 19 from chicken origin,were mainly associated with isolates causing child and adult gastro-infection,respectively.Our results fill in the data gap on the trends of dominant serovars and antimicrobial resistance of Salmonella enterica in China.These data provide useful information for public health decision-makers prioritizing interventions for foodborne diseases and food safety.Yanan Wang Yue Liu Na Lyu Zhiyuan Li Sufang Ma Demin Cao Yuanlong Pan Yongfei Hu Hua Huang George F.Gao Xuebin Xu Baoli Zhu 2023National Science Review2023,10,3:4
