1Electronic warfare in the optical band:Main features, examples and selected measurement data显示文摘The paper presents the possibilities of,and methods for, acquiring, analysing and processing optical signals in order to recognise, identify and counteract threats on the contemporary battleground. The main ways electronic warfare is waged in the optical band of the electromagnetic wave spectrum have been formulated, including the acquisition of optical emitter signatures,as well as ultraviolet(UV)and thermal(IR)signatures. The physical parameters and values describing the emission of laser radiation are discussed, including their importance in terms of creating optical signatures. Moreover,it has been shown that in the transformation of optical signals into signatures, only their spectral and temporal parameters can be applied. This was confirmed in experimental part of the paper, which includes our own measurements of spectral and temporal emission characteristics for three types of binocular laser rangefinders. It has been further shown that through simple registration and quick analysis involving comparison of emission time parameters in the case of UV signatures in“solar-blind”band,various events can be identified quickly and faultlessly. The same is true for IR signatures, where the amplitudes of the recorded signal for several wavelengths are compared. This was confirmed experimentally for UV signatures by registering and then analyzing signals from several events during military exercises at a training ground, namely Rocket Propelled Grenade(RPG)launches and explosions after hitting targets, trinitrotoluene(TNT)explosions, firing armour-piercing,fin-stabilised,discarding sabots(APFSDS)or high explosive(HE)projectiles. The final section describes a proposed model database of emitters, created as a result of analysing and transforming the recorded signals into optical signatures.Roman Ostrowski Artur Cywinski Marek Strzelec 2021Defence Technology(防务技术)2021,17,5:3

10Hybrid Straw/Perlite Reinforced Natural Rubber Biocomposites显示文摘The purpose of the work is to prepare and characterize hybrid fillers of cereal straw perlite as well as to examine their impact on the functional properties of elastomeric biocomposites.Natural rubber was used as the polymer matrix, vulcanized with a sulfuric crosslinking system. The subject matter of the work included an interdisciplinary knowledge segment in the field of polymertechnology—hybrid biomaterials. The work investigated the effect of physical(mecha nical)modificatio n of ligno cellulosic filler. The process of milling and homogenization of cereal straw with the addition of perlite was carried out in a planetary ball mill. The properties of biocomposites were examined in terms of two key aspects:The amount of hybrid filler and its ratio(cereal straw to natural mineral). The plate-like structure of natural minerals and the fibrous structure of cereal straw created a two-component filler, which influenced the properties of the produced biomaterials.A significant improvement in barrier, crosslinking density, hardness, mechanical and damping properties has been noted for systems containing hybrid fillers. Moreover, all vulcanizates proved to be resistant to the nnooxidative aging.Furthermore, the straw modificated with perlite fonned a more complex structure in the composites, resulting in a stronger reinforcing effect, which was confirmed by dynamic-mechanical analysis(Payne effect).Marcin Maslowski Justyna Miedzianowska Krzysztof Strzelec 2019Journal of Bionic Engineering2019,16,6:0
11Properties of Natural Rubber Biocomposities Filled with Alkaline Modified Oat Straw显示文摘Novel elastomer biocomposites based on straw fibers (raw or chemically modified) as reinforcing elements ofnatural rubber (NR) were reported and studied. Oat straw fibres with different average lengths were used.Lignocellulose materials were incorporated into the elastomer, before and after chemical surface modificationinvolving sodium hydroxide. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and microscopy techniques wereemployed for characterization of fillers. The kinetics of rubber mixtures, as well as rheometric properties ofcompounds were determined. The cross-linking density was executed on the basis of equilibrium solventswellingmeasurements applying the modified Flory–Rehner equation. The morphology of biocompositessamples was analyzed by a scanning electron microscopy. Mechanical characteristic: the values of hardness, tensile strength and attenuation coefficient were also determined. The physical and chemical investigations haveproved the reinforcing effect of treated oat straw on natural rubber vulcanizates.Marcin Masłowski Justyna Miedzianowska Krzysztof Strzelec 2018Journal of Renewable Materials2018,6,7:0
