| 2 | Segregation during crystal growth from melt and absorption cross section determination by optical absorption method显示文摘Segregation during crystal growth from melt under two conditions is studied by using crystal mass,which can be measured easily,as an independent variable,and a method to determine the effective segregation coefficient and absorption cross section of optical dopant is given.When the segregated solute disperses into the whole or just a part of melt homogenously,the concentration CS in solid interface will change by different formulas.If the crystal growth interface is conical and segregated solute disperses into melt in total or part,the solute concentration at r=2/3R,where r is the distance from the growth cross section center and R the crystal radius,is independent on the shape of the crystal growth interface,and its variation at r=2/3R can be regarded as the result from crystal growth in flat interface.With CS variation formula in solid and absorption cross section σ for optical dopant,the absorption coefficients along the crystal growth direction can be calculated,and the corresponding experimental value can be obtained through the crystal optical absorption spectra.By minimizing the half sum,whose independent variables are k,ΔW or σ,of the difference square between the calculated and experimental absorp-tion coefficients from one or more absorption peaks along the crystal growth di-rection,k and σ,or k and ΔW,can be determined at the same time through the Levenberg-Marquardt iteration method.Finally,the effective segregation coefficient k,ΔW and absorption cross sections of Nd:GGG were determined,the results fitted by two formula gave more closed effective segregation coefficient,and the value ΔW also indicates that the segregated dopant had nearly dispersed into the whole melt.Experimental results show that the method to determine effective segregation coefficient k,ΔW and absorption cross sections σ is convenient and reliable,and the two segregation formulas can describe the segregation during the crystal growth from melt relatively commendably. | ZHANG QingLi YIN ShaoTang SUN DunLu WAN SongMing | 2008 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2008,51,5: | 5 |
| 3 | Recent advances in application of moving bed bioreactors for wastewater treatment from recirculating aquaculture systems: A review显示文摘In recent years,government investments in implementing restrictive public policies on the treatment and discharge of effluents from the aquaculture industry have increased.Hence,efficient and cleaner methods for aquaculture production are needed.Recirculating aquaculture systems(RAS)offers water conservation by recycling the treated aquaculture water for reuse.RAS wastewater treatment using a moving bed bioreactors(MBBRs)process has been considered well suited for maintaining good water quality,thereby making fish farming more sustainable.Currently,improvements were achieved in tackling the influence of salinity,organic matter,disinfectant,and bioreactor start-up process on the MBBR performance efficiency.This review highlights an updated overview of recent development made using MBBR to treat the residual water from RAS.Precisely,nitrification and simultaneous nitrification-denitrification(SND),and other hybrid processes for nitrogen removal were elucidated.Finally,future challenges and prospects of MBBRs in RAS facilities that need to be considered were also proposed. | Abubakar Shitu Gang Liu Aliyu Idris Muhammad Yadong Zhang Musa Abubakar Tadda Wanhe Qi Dezhao Liu Zhangying Ye Songming Zhu | 2022 | Aquaculture and Fisheries2022,7,3: | 3 |
| 4 | Effects of phosvitin phosphopeptide-Ca complex prepared by efficient enzymatic hydrolysis on calcium absorption and bone deposition of mice显示文摘Phosvitin(PV)was treated with high-temperature,mild pressure(HTMP),and enzyme combination,and then phosvitin phosphopeptides-calcium(PPP-Ca)complexes were prepared.The low-calcium specific pathogen free-Kunming(SPF-KM)mice were used to determine the effect of PPP-Ca complexes on intestinal calcium absorption and their utilization for bone formation.The serum calcium content was the highest with the HTMP-Enz-PPP-Ca treatment(2.19 mmol/L),and it significantly down-regulated the abnormal elevation of serum alkaline phosphatase(AKP)caused by calcium deficiency.The low-calcium control group had the lowest calcium deposited to the femur(80.41 mg/g)and the lowest femur bone mineral density(BMD)(0.17 g/cm^(3)),while HTMP-Enz-PPP-Ca significantly improved bone calcium content(94.33 mg/g)and BMD(0.29 g/cm^(3)).The micro-computed tomography(MCT)images showed that the femur with the normal control,PV-Ca,and HTMP-Enz-PPP-Ca treatments had a more compact,complete,and thicker trabecular network than the low-calcium and CaCl_(2)treatments.These results indicated that the organic calcium(HTMP-Enz-PPP-Ca)promoted calcium absorption and bone deposition,and the effect of HTMP-Enz-PPP-Ca was better than the inorganic CaCl_(2). | Mengdie Zhao Dong Uk Ahn Songming Li Wei Liu Shengwei Yi Xi Huang | 2022 | Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,6: | 3 |
| 5 | Interleukin-13 inhibits cytokines synthesis by blocking nuclear factor-κB and c-Jun N-terminal kinase in human mesangial cells显示文摘Objective:Monocytes/macrophages,proinflammatory cytokines and chemokines are important in the pathogenesis of glomerulonephritis.Interleukin(IL)-13 has been shown to exert potent anti-inflammatory properties. This study was designed to investigate the effect of IL-13 on the expression of proinflammatory cytokines,chemokines and profibrogenic cytokines and the involved molecular mechanism in cultured human mesangial cells (HMCs).Methods:The expressions of proinflammatory cytokines,chemokines and profibrogenic cytokines were determined by ribonuclease protection assay(RPA).Activity of nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)and activa- tor protein-1(AP-1)was examined by electrophoretic mobility shift assay(EMSA).NF-κB subunit p65 nuclear transportation and c-Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK)activity were assayed by immunoblot.Results:Recombinant IL-13 inhibited tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),IL-1α,IL-1β,monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1), IL-8,and transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1)mRNA expressions in a dose-dependent manner.Lipopoly-sacchorides(LPS)dramatically increased NF-κB DNA binding activity of HMCs,which was inhibited by IL-13 in a dose-dependent manner.LPS-activated NF-κB contained p50 and p65 dimers,but not c-Rel subunit.IL-13 blocked LPS-induced NF-κB subunit p65.LPS stimulated JNK/AP-1 activation,which was inhibited by IL-13 in a dose-dependent manner.Conclusion:IL-13 inhibits proinflammatory cytokines,chemokines,and profibrogenic cytokines synthesis by blocking NF-κB and JNK/AP-1 activation.These observations point to the importance of IL-13 in the modulation of inflammatory processes in the renal glomerulus. | Chunhua Zhu Aihua Zhang Songming Huang GuixiaDing Xiaoqin Pan Ronghua Chen | 2010 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,4: | 2 |
| 6 | Oxidation behaviours of Nb–22Ti–15Si–2Al–2Hf–2V–(2, 14)Cr alloys with Al and Y modified silicide coatings prepared by pack cementation显示文摘Al and Y modified silicide coatings on the Nb-15Si-22Ti-(2,14)Cr-2Al-2Hf-2V alloys(where the alloy with 2 at%Cr or 14 at%Cr is hereafter referred to as 2Cr and 14 Cr alloy,respectively) was prepared by pack cementation.The microstructural evolution and the oxidation behaviours of the coating 2Cr and 14 Cr samples at 1250 ℃ were studied.The 2Cr alloy consists of Nb solid solution(Nb_(SS)) and α-Nb_5Si_3 silicide,while the Laves C15-Cr_2Nb phase arised in the 14 Cr alloy.The coating structure of the coating 2Cr sample contained the outer(Nb,X)Si_2+(Nb,X)_5Si_3 layer,the middle(Nb,X)_5Si_3 layer and the inner undeveloped intermetallic(Nb,Ti)_3(Al,X) layer,the structure of the coating 14 Cr sample consisted of the outer single(Nb,X)Si_2 layer,the middle(Nb,X)_5Si_3 layer,the transition(Nb,Ti)(Cr,Al) layer and the inner(Cr,Al)_2(Nb,Ti) layer.The coating 14 Cr sample exhibited better oxidation resistance than the coating 2Cr sample.With an outer single(Nb,X)Si_2 layer,a compact oxide scale consisting of SiO_2 and TiO_2 formed on the coating14 Cr sample,which can efficiently prevent the substrate from oxidising.For the coating 2Cr sample with an outer(Nb,X)Si_2 +(Nb,X)_5Si_3 layer,the oxide scale of the SiO_2,TiO_2,Nb_2O_5 and CrNbO_4 mixture generated,and the scale spalled out from the surface of the sample,resulting in disastrous failure. | Songming Zhang Xingrui Shi Jiangbo Sha | 2015 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2015,25,5: | 2 |
