1Enhanced release of the poorly soluble drug itraconazole loaded in ordered mesoporous silica显示文摘It is known that the energy of the amorphous state of itraconazole loaded in ordered mesoporous materials is high relative to that of the crystalline state and is responsible for enhanced solubility and dissolution rate. We investigated the effects of particle size(0.7–5μm), mesostructure(2D p6 mm, cubic Ia-3d and cubic Fm-3m) and pore size(2.2–15.4 nm) of mesoporous silicas on the release performance of itraconazole. Results indicated that the release performance was not influenced by the particle sizes tested here, that the release performance increased with increasing pore diameter due to the lower probability of drug molecules colliding to recrystallize in large pores, and that the release performance was decreased in the cage-type pore structure(Fm-3m) compared to that in the cylindrical pore structures(p6mm and Ia-3d) because of the small entrance to the cagelike pores that retards the drug release.Xiao Liu Shunai Che 2015Science China Chemistry2015,58,3:3

3Chiral hierarchical structure of bone minerals显示文摘Chirality is an indispensable integral of biological system.As an important part of organisms,chiral organic structure of bone has been extensively investigated.However,the chirality of bone minerals is unclear and not fully determined.Here,we report nine levels of fractal-like chirality of bone minerals by combining electron microscopic and spectrometric characterizations.The primary helically twisted acicular apatite crystals inside collagen fibrils and between fibrils merge laterally to form secondary helical subplatelets.The chiral arrangement of several subplatelets forms tertiary spiral mineral platelets.Further coherent stepwise stacking of mineral platelets with collagen fibrils leads to quaternary to ninth levels,which reconciled the previous conflicting models.The optical activities in the UV-visible,infrared and terahertz regions demonstrated chirality from atomic to macroscopic scales based on circularly selective absorption and Bragg resonance at different levels of chirality.Our findings provide new insight into the structural integrity of bone,osteology,forensic medicine and archaeology and inspire the design of novel biomaterials.Chao Zhou Xueliang Zhang Jing Ai Ting Ji Masaya Nagai Yingying Duan Shunai Che Lu Han 2022Nano Research2022,15,2:1

12Insight on metal ions inducing chiral self-assembly of DNA in silica mineralization显示文摘The self-assembly of DNA provides an attractive approach to understanding structural formation mechanism in living organisms and to assisting applications in materials chemistry.Herein,we investigated the effect of metal ions on chiral self-assembly of DNA through the synthesis of chiral mesostructured silica via self-assembly of metal ions,DNA,and silica source.31 types of multivalent cationic metal ions were found to induce formation of chiral impeller-like DNA-silica complexes due to the chiral stacking of DNA.The strength of the interaction between the metal ion and phosphate group of DNA was speculated for the chiral stacking of DNA due to close distance of adjacent DNA to assure mutual recognition.Theoretical calculations indicated that chiral packing of DNA depends on the stability of the bridging phosphate-metal ion-phosphate bonds of DNA based on electron delocalization in d-orbital conjugation of metal ions.Arepati Azhati Lu Han Zhibei Qu Zhouhong Ren Xi Liu Liwei Chen Shunai Che 2023Nano Research2023,16,3:0
13Chiral CdSe/CdS quantum dot (in rod)-light-emitting diodes with circularly polarized electroluminescence显示文摘Chiral quantum dot(in rod)-light-emitting diodes(CQLEDs)with circularly polarized electroluminescence(CPEL)have driven interest in the future display,communication,and storage industries.However,the preparation of CQLEDs is still a challenging unresolved.Herein,we fabricated CQLEDs through spin-coating evaporation of chiral CdSe/CdS quantum rods(CCCQs)colloidal solution on indium tin oxide substrate.The CCCQs were synthesized via an isotropically epitaxial growth with cholic acid as the symmetry breaking agent,which induced one-direction chiral dislocation around the c axis of their hexagonal crystal structure.The CCCQs were ranked side-by-side in right-handed chiral arrangement with helical axis perpendicular to substrate due to chiral driving force of the cholic acid arrangement.The CQLEDs exhibited a negative CPEL signal at 600 nm with a|gEL|of 2×10^(−4),which is ascribable to the selective filtration on emission arising from the circular Bragg resonance by quasi-photonic crystal structures.Tianwei Duan Jing Ai Sujie Chen Gufeng He Xiaojun Guo Lu Han Shunai Che Yingying Duan 2022Nano Research2022,15,10:0
14Chiral mesostructured hematite with temperature-independent magnetism due to spin confinement显示文摘Hematite(α-Fe_(2)O_(3))is known to undergo conversion from weak ferromagnetic to antiferromagnetic as the temperature decreases below the Morin temperature(TM=250 K)due to spin moment rotation occurring during the Morin transition(MT).Herein,we endowed hematite with mesostructured chirality to maintain weak ferromagnetism without MT.Chiral mesostructured hematite(CMH)nanoparticles were prepared by a hydrothermal method with glutamic acid(Glu)as the symmetry-breaking agent.The triangular bipyramidal CMH nanoparticles were composed of helically cleaved nanoflakes with twisted crystal lattice.Field-cooled(FC)magnetization measurements showed that the magnetic moments of CMH were stabilized without MT within the temperature range of 10–300 K.Hysteresis loop measurements confirmed the weak ferromagnetism of CMH.The enhanced Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction(DMI)was speculated to be responsible for the temperature-independent weak ferromagnetism,in which the spin configuration would be confined with canted antiferromagnetic coupling due to the mesostructured chirality of CMH.Baiwen Zhang Jing Ai Yingying Duan Te Bai Lu Han Shunai Che 2024Nano Research2024,17,3:0
15Synthesis of atomically dispersed cationic nickel-confined mesoporous ZSM-48(ANMZ-48)directed by metal complexes in amphiphilic molecules显示文摘The synthesis of mesoporous zeolite-anchored atomically dispersed metal catalysts(ADCs)is a considerable challenge in chemistry and materials science.Here we report the synthesis of atomically dispersed cationic nickel-confined mesoporous ZSM-48(ANMZ-48)by in situ hydrothermal reaction employing a designed tri-functional metal complex template,by which the triquaternary ammonium groups in the hydrophilic region direct the formation of ZSM-48 zeolite;the aromatic groups in the hydrophobic tail generate the mesopores through π-π stacking;and the complexes formed by nickel ions coordinated with terpyridyl groups generate atomically dispersed Ni2+confined in zeolite frameworks due to the strong sintering resistance generated by the strong coordination interaction.The ANMZ-48 is consisting of stacking of sheet-like ZSM-48 domains connected by multiply crystal twinning sharing the common(011)plane,generating abundant of imbedded mesopores with the uniform thickness of~2.4 nm and with the width of 10-50 nm.The excellent catalytic activity and stability of ANMZ-48 were also reflected in the dry reforming of methane(DRM)reaction.Yu Chen Quanzheng Deng Yiru Mao Yuxi Fang Zhihua Cao Honggen Peng Shunai Che Lu Han 2024Science China Chemistry2024,67,1:0
16Spin selectivity of chiral mesostructured diamagnetic BiOBr films显示文摘The chirality-induced spin selectivity(CISS)has been found in the antiferromagnetic and paramagnetic chiral inorganic materials with unpaired electrons,while rarely reported in the spin-paired diamagnetic inorganic materials with spin-pairing energy.Here,we report the CISS in the spin-paired diamagnetic BiOBr endowed with three levels of chiral mesostructures.Chiral mesostructured BiOBr films(CMBFs)were fabricated through a sugar alcohol-induced hydrothermal route.The antipodal CMBFs exhibited chirality-dependent,magnetic field-independent magnetic circular dichroism(MCD)signals,which indicates the existence of spin selectivity.The spin selectivity of CMBFs was speculated to be the result of the competing effect between the externally applied magnetic field and the effective magnetic field arisen from the spin electron motions in chiral potential.The chirality-induced effective magnetic field acts on the magnetic moment of electrons,potentially overcoming the spin-pairing energy and producing opposite energy changes for spin-down and spin-up electrons.Kun Ding Jing Ai Hao Chen Zhibei Qu Peizhao Liu Lu Han Shunai Che Yingying Duan 2023Nano Research2023,16,8:0
17Mesoporous Silica Microspheres Composited with SBA-15s for Resonance Frequency Reduction in a Miniature Loudspeaker显示文摘Microspheres composited with mesoporous SBA-15 particles and silica were investigated as fillers in miniature loudspeakers to study the factors influencing the resonance frequency offsets(RFOs).Mesoporous silica microspheres(MSMs)were prepared by self-assembling SBA-15 mesoporous silica in a microemulsion synthesis system.The formation process involved the fabrication of a stable O/W microemulsion of tetrabutyl orthosili-cate(TBOS)and hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide(C16TAB)and encapsulation of SBA-15s.The RFO increased and then decreased with increasing particle size(in the length range of 0.7—5.5 μm and in the width range of 0.2—0.45 μm),increased with increasing pore size(in the range of 7.0—9.4 nm)of SBA-15s,and increased with decreasing particle size(105—900 μm)of MSMs.ZHANG Xinyue CHE Shunai 2020Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2020,36,5:0
