| 1 | On solubility and supersolubility of some classes of finite groups显示文摘Let G be a finite group and H a subgroup of G. Then H is said to be S-permutable in G if HP = PH for all Sylow subgroups P of G. Let HsG be the subgroup of H generated by all those subgroups of H which are S-permutable in G. Then we say that H is S-embedded in G if G has a normal subgroup T and an S-permutable subgroup C such that T ∩ H HsG and HT = C. Our main result is the following Theorem A. A group G is supersoluble if and only if for every non-cyclic Sylow subgroup P of the generalized Fitting subgroup F*(G) of G, at least one of the following holds: (1) Every maximal subgroup of P is S-embedded in G. | 2 | Polarization-maintaining few mode fiber composed of a central circular-hole and an elliptical-ring core显示文摘We propose a novel waveguide design of polarization-maintaining few mode fiber(PM-FMF) supporting ≥10non-degenerate modes, utilizing a central circular air hole and a circumjacent elliptical-ring core. The structure endows a new degree of freedom to adjust the birefringence of all the guided modes, including the fundamental polarization mode. Numerical simulations demonstrate that, by optimizing the air hole and elliptical-ring core,a PM-FMF supporting 10 distinctive polarization modes has been achieved, and the effective index difference Δn_(eff) between the adjacent guided modes could be kept larger than 1.32 × 10^(-4) over the whole C +L band. | 3 | On U-orthodox semigroups显示文摘As a generalization of an orthodox semigroup in the class of regular semigroups, a type W semigroup was first investigated by El-Qallali and Fountain. As an analogy of the type W semi-groups in the class of abundant semigroups, we introduce the U-orthodox semigroups. It is shown that the maximum congruence μ contained in HU on U-orthodox semigroups can be determined. As a consequence, we show that a U-orthodox semigroup S can be expressed by the spined product of a Hall semigroup WU and a V-ample semigroup (T,V ). | 5 | Chinese topical herbal medicine gives additive effect on pharmaceutical agent on fracture healing显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the efficacy on the combination of oral strontium ranelate(Sr R)with a topical Chinese herbal paste on facilitation of fracture healing.METHODS:An open fracture was created at the mid-shaft of the right tibia of rat.A herbal pastecalled CDR containing Honghua(Flos Carthami),Chuanxuduan(Radix Dipsaci Asperoidis)and Dahuang(Radix Et Rhizoma Rhei Palmati)was prepared.The rats were treated with either CDR topically on the fracture site,or Sr R orally,or their combinations.Bone turnover biochemical markers in serum were measured.Microarchitecture of the fracture was analyzed using micro-CT after 14 and 28 d,followed by histomorphometrical analysis.RESULTS:Micro-computed tomography analysis revealed that the combined treatment of CDR with600 mg/g Sr R significantly increased the total callus density,mineralized callus volume fraction,mineralized callus mineral content and mineralized callus density of the callus after 28 d of treatment.This result was consistent with the histomorphometrical analysis on the osteoid volume.Analysis of biochemical markers showed that the combined treatments reduced the bone resorption that occurs temporarily after fracture.CONCLUSION:This study demonstrated that the combined treatment of oral Sr R and topical CDR is effective to promote fracture healing by their additive effect on promoting bone formation and retarding bone resorption. | Siu Wing Sum Shiu Hoi Ting Shum Wai Ting Ko Chun Hay Lau Clara Bik San Hung Leung Kim Leung Ping Chung | 2019 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2019,39,6: | 4 |

| 7 | Real-time dynamics of soliton triplets in fiber lasers显示文摘The evolution of soliton molecules emphasizes the complex soliton dynamics akin to matter molecules.Beyond the simplest soliton molecule-a soliton pair constituted by two bound pulses-soliton molecules with more constituents have more degrees of freedom because of the temporal pulse separations and relative phases.Here we detailedly characterize the transient dynamics of soliton triplets in fiber lasers by using the dispersive Fourier transform measurement.A particular form of leading,central,and tailing pulses is constructed to shed new light on more intriguing scenarios and fuel the molecular analogy.Especially the vibrating dynamics of the central and tailing pulses are captured near the regime of equally spaced soliton triplets,which is reminiscent of the recurrent timing jitters within multi-pulse structures.Further insights enable acess into a universal form of unequally spaced soliton triplets interpreted as 2+1 soliton molecules.Different binding strengths of intramo-lecular and intermolecular bonds are validated with respect to the diverse internal motions involved in this soliton triplet molcule.All these findings unveil the transient dynamics with more degrees of freedom as well as highlight the possible application for all-optical bit storage. | YIYANG LUO RAN XIA PERRY PING SHUM WENJUN NI YUSONG LIU HUY QUOC LAM QIZHEN SUN XIAHUI TANG LUMING ZHAO | 2020 | Photonics Research2020,8,6: | 3 |
