| 1 | Hypoxia and fatty liver显示文摘The liver is a central organ that metabolizes excessive nutrients for storage in the form of glycogen and lipids and supplies energy-producing substrates to the peripheral tissues to maintain their function,even under starved conditions.These processes require a considerable amount of oxygen,which causes a steep oxygen gradient throughout the hepatic lobules.Alcohol consumption and/or excessive food intake can alter the hepatic metabolic balance drastically,which can precipitate fatty liver disease,a major cause of chronic liver diseases worldwide,ranging from simple steatosis,through steatohepatitis and hepatic fibrosis,to liver cirrhosis.Altered hepatic metabolism and tissue remodeling in fatty liver disease further disrupt hepatic oxygen homeostasis,resulting in severe liver hypoxia.As master regulators of adaptive responses to hypoxic stress,hypoxia-inducible factors(HIFs) modulate various cellular and organ functions,including erythropoiesis,angiogenesis,metabolic demand,and cell survival,by activating their target genes during fetal development and also in many disease conditions such as cancer,heart failure,and diabetes.In the past decade,it has become clear that HIFs serve as key factors in the regulation of lipid metabolism and fatty liver formation.This review discusses the molecular mechanisms by which hypoxia and HIFs regulate lipid metabolism in the development and progression of fatty liver disease. | Tomohiro Suzuki Satoko Shinjo Takatomo Arai Mai Kanai Nobuhito Goda | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014，20，41： | 3 |
| 2 | Characterization of termetallic Pt-Ir-Au catalysts for NO decomposition显示文摘A termetallic catalyst of Pt-Ir-Au/Al2O3 for NOx decomposition was prepared by loading the metallic colloids in C2H5OH-H2O solution and a surfactant of polyvinyl pyrrolidone.Compared with an impregnated Pt/Al2O3 catalyst,the termetallic catalyst of PtIrAu811/Al2O3,with a Pt:Ir:Au atomic ratio of 8:1:1,exhibited higher NO decomposition and selectivity to N2.Transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction were conducted to clarify the state of the supported metals and indicate three precious metals alloyed on the catalyst.In the study of NO-temperature programmed desorption,oxygen desorption on the PtIrAu811 catalyst shifted to the low temperature side compared to that on Pt/Al2O3,which correlated well with its higher catalytic performance in NO decomposition. | Akira Morikawa Kohei Okumura Masaru Ishii Koichi Kikuta Akihiko Suda Hirofumi Shinjo | 2011 | Rare Metals2011，30，1： | 3 |

| 9 | The Dauki Fault at the Shillong Plateau-Bengal Basin Boundary in Northeastern India:2D Finite Element Modeling显示文摘The Dauki fault is a major fault along the southern boundary of the Shillong plateau that may be a source of destructive seismic hazards for the adjoining areas,including northeastern Bangladesh.In this study,we simulated the present stress distribution and the ongoing convergence deformation within the study area using numerical simulation.This simulation attempts to determine the proper dip angle of the Dauki fault from a variety of differently established models but with the same realistic boundary conditions.The simulated stress field helped to predict the type of tectonic environment and the faulting patterns of the study area.The best-fit model can account for the compressive stress regime in the study area,except in the uppermost part of the Shillong plateau,the Bengal basin,and Assam areas where extensional stress regimes exists.In the model,the elements for which Mohr-Coulomb's failure occurs correspond with the observed earthquake data that refer to the Dauki fault as a north-dipping thrust fault. | Md Shofiqul Islam Ryuichi Shinjo | 2012 | Journal of Earth Science2012，23，6： | 1 |
