1Fine Mapping of RppP25, a Southern Rust Resistance Gene in Maize显示文摘Southern rust (Puccinia polysora Underw.) is a major disease that can cause severe yield losses in maize (Zea mays L.). In our previous study, a major gene RppP25 that confers resistance to southern rust was identified in inbred line P25. Here, we report the fine mapping and candidate gene analysis of RppP25 from the near-isogenic line F939, which harbors RppP25 in the genetic background of the susceptible inbred line F349. The inheritance of resistance to southern rust was investigated in the BC1F1 and BC3F1 populations, which were derived from a cross between F939 and F349 (as the recurrent parent). The 1:1 segregation ratio of resistance to susceptible plants in these two populations indicated that the resistance is controlled by a single dominant gene. Ten markers, including three simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers and seven insertion/deletion (InDel) markers, were developed in the RppP25 region. RppP25 was delimited to an interval between P091 and M271, with an estimated length of 40 kb based on the physical map of B73. In this region, a candidate gene was identified that was predicted to encode a putative nucleotide-binding site leucine-rich repeat (NBS-LRR) protein. 2A 90nm Passive RFID Tag's Custom Baseband Processor for Subthreshold Operation Below 0.3V显示文摘In the design of passive Radio frequency(RF) tags' baseband processor, subthreshold timing and wide-range-Process, voltage and temperature(PVT) variation problems are the bottlenecks to extend the tag's working range. A sophisticated processor is presented based on the EPC and ISO protocol. Power-aware ideas are applied to the entire processor, including data link portions. Innovatively, a novel custom ratioed logic style is adopted in critical logic paths to fundamentally speed up the circuit operations at ultra-low-voltage. The proposed baseband processor was fabricated in 90 nm CMOS, another baseband processor design by regular standard-cell-based design flow was also fabricated for comparison. In measurement the proposed design indicates good robustness in wide-range supply and frequency variation and much more competent for subthreshold operation. 4Nuclear localization of human MEIOB requires its NLS in the OB domain and interaction with SPATA22显示文摘MEIOB is a vital protein in meiotic homologous recombination and plays an indispensable role in human gametogenesis.In mammals,MEIOB and its partner SPATA22 form a heterodimer,ensuring their effective localization on single-strand DNA(ssDNA)and proper synapsis processes.Mutations in human MEIOB(hMEIOB)cause human infertility attributed to the failure of its interaction with human SPATA22(hSPATA22)and ssDNA binding.However,the detailed mechanism is still unclear.In our study,truncated or full-length hMEIOB and hSPATA22 are traced by fused expression with fluorescent proteins(i.e.,copGFP or mCherry),and the live cell imaging system is used to observe the expression and localization of the proteins.When transfected alone,hMEIOB accumulates in the cytoplasm.Interestingly,a covered NLS in the OB domain of hMEIOB is identified,which can be exposed by hSPATA22 and is necessary for the nuclear localization of hMEIOB.When hSPATA22 loses its hMEIOB interacting domain or NLS,the nuclear localization of hMEIOB is aborted.Collectively,our results prove that the NLS in the OB domain of hMEIOB and interaction with hSPATA22 are required for hMEIOB nuclear localization.Yating Xu Zhen Chen Panfeng Wu Wei Qu Hanqing Shi Muyang Cheng Yumin Xu Tingyu Jin Cong Liu Cong Liu Yi Li Mengcheng Luo 2023Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,1:0
