| 1 | Porphyromonas gingivalis disrupts vascular endothelial homeostasis in a TLR-NF-κB axis dependent manner显示文摘Cardiovascular disease is still the leading cause of mortality worldwide.Vascular endothelial dysfunction is viewed as the initial step of most cardiovascular diseases. Many studies have indicated that periodontal pathogens, especially Porphyromonas gingivalis, are closely correlated with vascular endothelial homeostasis, but the function of P.gingivalis and the underlying mechanisms are still elusive. To illuminate the effects and elucidate the mechanisms of P.gingivalis on endothelial structural integrity,we developed P.gingivalis infection models in vivo and in vitro.Endothelial cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis were detected. Here,we showed that P.gingivalis can impair endothelial integrity by inhibiting cell proliferation and inducing endothelial mesenchymal transformation and apoptosis of endothelial cells, which reduce the cell levels and cause the endothelium to lose its ability to repair itself.A mechanistic analysis showed that TLR antagonist or NF-κB signalling inhibitor can largely rescue the damaged integrity of the endothelium caused by P.gingivalis, suggesting that TLR-NF-κB signalling plays a vital role in vascular endothelial homeostasis destroyed by P.gingivalis.These results suggest a potential intervention method for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. | Mengru Xie Qingming Tang Shaoling Yu Jiwei Sun Feng Mei Jiajia Zhao Lili Chen | 2020 | International Journal of Oral Science2020,12,3: | 9 |
| 2 | Satellite-derived surface water pCO_2 and air-sea CO_2 fluxes in the northern South China Sea in summer显示文摘An empirical approach is presented for the estimation of the partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2) and air-sea CO2 fluxes in the northern South China Sea in summer using satellite-derived sea surface temperatures (SSTs), chlorophyll-a (Chl a) concentrations, and wind fields. Two algorithms were tested. The first used an SST-dependent equation, and the other involved the introduction of Chl a. Regression equations were developed for summer based on in situ data obtained in July, 2004. Using the monthly average SST and Chl a fields derived from the advanced very high resolution radiometer (AVHRR) and the SeaWiFS (sea-viewing wide field of view sensor), respectively, the monthly pCO2 fields were computed. The derived pCO2 was compared with the shipboard pCO2 observations conducted in July, 2000. This resulted in a root-mean-square error of 4.6 latm, suggesting that the satellite-derived pCO2 was in general agreement with the in situ observations. The air-sea CO2 flux was further computed with the aid of the monthly mean QuikSCAT wind speed. We contend that more shipboard data are necessary for refining the empirical algorithms and reducing the uncertainty in the results. | Yu Zhu Shaoling Shang Weidong Zhai Minhan Dai | 2009 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2009,19,6: | 7 |

| 4 | COMBINATORIAL SYNTHESIS OF MANNICH BASES IN SOLUTION/POLYMER REAGENT WORKUP显示文摘This paper describes a combinatorial Synthesis of the Mannich Bases in Solution through the Mannich reaction using 3 ketones, 5 amines and formaldehyde in solution and hydrochloride as a catalyst and then using a macroporous quarterized ammonium resin (CO32- form) as a scavenge agent to remove the acid catalyst when the Mannich reaction is completed. It was found by GC/MS analysis that the symmetrical ketone, such as acetone, in the Mannich reaction mainly produces one Mannich base; while the asymmetrical ketone, such as 2-pentanone, gives two Mannich bases. The reactivity depends on the tereo-hinder of both ketones and amines. | HUANG Wenqiang CHENG Shaoling CHEN Yu SUN Weimin HE Binglin Institute of Polymer Chemistry, Nankai University, Tianjin 300071, China | 2000 | Chinese Journal of Reactive Polymers2000,9,2: | 1 |

| 6 | Impact of Temperature on Absorption Coefficient of Pure Seawater in the Blue Wavelengths Inferred from Satellite and In Situ Measurements显示文摘There has been a long history of interest on how(if)the absorption coefficient of“pure”fresh water(a_(fw)(λ))and“pure”seawater(a_(sw)(λ))changes with temperature(T),yet the impact of T reported in the literature differs significantly in the blue domain.Unlike the previous studies based on laboratory measurements,we took an approach based on~18 years(2002–2020)of MODIS ocean color and temperature measurements in the oligotrophic oceans, along with field measured chlorophyll concentration and phytoplankton absorption coefficient,to examine the relationship between T and the total absorption coefficient(a(λ))at 412 and 443 nm.We found that the values of a(412)and a(443)in the summer are nearly flat(slightly decreasing)for the observed T range of~19–27℃.Since there are no detectable changes of chlorophyll during this period, the results suggest that T has a negligible impact on a_(sw)(412) and a_(sw)(443)in this T range. As a complement, the impact of salinity on a_(fw)(λ) was also evaluated using three independent determinations of a_(sw)(λ) and a_(fw)(λ),where good agreements were found from these observations. | Guomei Wei Zhongping Lee Xiuling Wu Xiaolong Yu Shaoling Shang Ricardo Letelier | 2021 | Journal of Remote Sensing2021,,1: | 1 |
