1Defect-density control of platinum-based nanoframes with high-index facets for enhanced electrochemical properties显示文摘Structure-engineered platinum-based nanoframes(NFs)at the atomic level can effectively improve the catalytic performance for fuel cells and other heterogeneous catalytic fields.We report herein,a microwave-assisted wet-chemical method for the preparation of platinum-copper-cobalt NFs with tunable defect density and architecture,which exhibit enhanced activity and durability towards the electro-oxidation reactions of methanol(MOR)and formic acid(FAOR).By altering the reduction/capping agents and thus the nucleation/growth kinetics,trimetallic platinum-copper-cobalt hexapod NFs with different density high-index facets are achieved.Especially,the rough hexapod nanoframes(rh-NFs)exhibit excellent specific activities towards MOR and FAOR,7.25 and 5.20 times higher than those of benchmark Pt/C,respectively,along with prolonged durability.The excellent activities of the rh-NFs are assigned to a synergistic effect,including high density of defects and high-index facets,suitable d-band center,and open-framework structure.This synergistic working mechanism opens up a new way for enhancing their electrocatalytic performances by increasing defect density and high-index facets in open-framework platinum-based NFs.Shaohan Yang Shuna Li Lianghao Song Yipin Lv Zhongyao Duan Chunsheng Li Raphael Francesco Praeg Daowei Gao Guozhu Chen 2019Nano Research2019,12,11:3
2Pushing the limit of thermal conductivity of MAX borides and MABs显示文摘The emergence of MAX borides as well as MAB phases attracted great attention because of the renewable developments of ternary ceramics and offering great opportunities in potential applications.However,the number of borides remains limited,and further fundamental descriptions and detailed investigations on various properties are still lacking.In this report,we employ an integrated computational scheme that combines density functional theory with the evolutional algorithm to search for the favorable structures of P-and S-glued ternary borides terminated by Nb metal.We discover that the structures of 212-type,as e.g.Nb_(2)PB_(2)and Nb_(2)SB_(2),belong to the P6m2 space group,while those of 211-type,as e.g.Nb_(2)PB and Nb_(2)SB,prefer to crystallize in the P6_(3)/mmc space group,and the corresponding carbides Nb_(2)PC and Nb_(2)SC are also considered for the sake of completeness and comparative analsys.The predicted Nb_(2)PB_(2),Nb_(2)PB,Nb_(2)SB,Nb_(2)PC and Nb_(2)SC are energetically stable,as revealed by the negative formation energies and by the proposed reaction paths with respect to the most competing phases,as well as dynamically stable,as suggested by the non-imaginary phonon spectra.The thermal conductivities of the six materials show unusual behaviors,particularly for the acoustic and optical contributions,and are accompanied by a strong anisotropy.Most importantly,Nb_(2)PB_(2) is found to be an excellent thermal conductor with a total thermal conductivity of~65 W/(m K),while Nb_(2)SC is found to be an ultra-low thermal conductor,with a total thermal conductivity of~5 W/(m K).These values are clearly outside the currently reported range of thermal conductivities,which makes Nb_(2)PB_(2)and Nb_(2)SC extremely interesting for fundamental research as well as prospective applications with the aid of artificial tunings on the almost independent MB block and the A layer.The discovery of these novel materials is expected to contribute substantially to the rapid development of ternary ceramics and to accelerate attempts in the applicability of MAX phases for heat conduction.Shaohan Li Weiwei Sun Yi Luo Jin Yu Litao Sun Bao-Tian Wang Ji-Xuan Liu Guo-Jun Zhang Igor Di Marco 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,2:2
3Apoptosis induced by NaYF_4:Eu^(3+) nanoparticles in liver cells via mitochondria damage dependent pathway显示文摘As lanthanide-doped sodium yttrium flouride(NaYF_4)nanoparticles have great potential inbiomedical applications,their biosafety is important and has attracted significant attention.In the present work,three different sized NaYF_4:Eu^(3+)nanoparticles have been prepared.Liver BRL 3 A cell was used as a cell model to evaluate their biological effects.Cell viability and apoptosis assays were used to confirm the cytotoxicity induced by NaYF_4:Eu^(3+)NPs.Apart from the elevated malondialdehyde(MDA),the decrease of superoxide dismutase(SOD),glutathione peroxidase(GSH-PX)and catalase(CAT)activity indicated reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation,which were associated with oxidative damage.The decrease of mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP)value demonstrated the occurrence of mitochondria damage.Then,release of cytochrome c from mitochondria and activation of caspase-3 confirmed that NaYF_4:Eu^(3+)NPs induced apoptosis was mitochondria damage-dependent.Shaohan Zhang Shizhu Chen Chunyue Gao Yi Jin Guang Jia Zhenhua Li Dandan Liu Xingjie Liang Xinjian Yang Jinchao Zhang 2017Science China Chemistry2017,60,1:0
4Conservative laparoscopic surgery of adnex torsion for fertility preservation显示文摘Objectives:To evaluate the safety and efficacy of conservative laparoscopic surgery for adnexal torsion and the feasibility of secondary operation.Methods:This is a retrospective study that consists of 17 patients with clinically diagnosed adnexal torsion who have a desire for pregnancy in the future.We performed conservative laparoscopic adnexal detorsion operations from January 2014 to June 2016 in Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital.The collected data,including age,onset time,maximum diameter of adnexal lesion,local blood flow signal,torsion degree,and recovery of local blood supply after detorsions,were analyzed.The blood flow of the lesion side,the antral follicles development,the basal endocrine hormone levels and the menstrual cycle were examined one-month and three-month post operation.Future fertility was investigated postoperatively.Results:All cases had no obvious clinical postoperative complications.There were no significant changes on menstrual cycle and ovarian function during the follow-up period.Conclusions:Adnexal torsion in young patients should be carefully treated and fertility reservation should be thoroughly considered.The decision to remove adnexa needs careful consideration.Conservative laparoscopic surgery is safe and does not increase the occurrence of serious complications.There is a higher possibility of a long delay between surgery and onset necrosis,but this is not always the case.Even if there is adnex thromboembolic infarction it does not result in serious complications such as pulmonary infarction.Conservative laparoscopic surgery can be performed first unless the clinician is certain it is already necrotic.We should do our best to reserve patients’fertility as much as possible.If necessary,a secondary surgery can be performed.Wei Wei Lingxiu Huang Baijia Li Shaohan Zou Guanghui Song 2018Laparoscopic, Endoscopic and Robotic Surgery2018,1,3:0
