| 1 | The ligand coordination approach for improving the stability of low-mercury catalyst in the hydrochlorination of acetylene显示文摘Mercuric chloride supported on activated carbon(HgCl_2/AC) is used as an industrial catalyst for the hydrochlorination of acetylene. Loss of HgCl_2 by sublimating from the surface of activated carbon causes the irreversible deactivation of mercury catalyst and environmental pollution. In this work, a ligand coordination approach based on the Principle of Hard and Soft Acids and Bases(HSAB) was employed to design more stable lowmercury catalyst. The low-mercury catalysts(4% HgCl_2 loading) were prepared by using HgCl_2 and potassium halides(KX, X = Cl, I) as precursors. The HgCl_2-4KI/AC catalyst showed best catalytic stability than HgCl_2/AC and HgCl_2-4KCl/AC in the hydrochloriantion of acetylene. HgCl_2 could form more stable complex with KI,K_2HgI_4 as the main active component of the HgCl_2-4KI/AC catalyst. The characterizations of XRD and EDX analysis illustrated that the active component of HgCl_2-4KI/AC was highly dispersed on the surface of activated carbon.The sublimation rates of HgCl_2 from the catalysts verified that the active component with larger stability constant had better thermal stability. | 4 | Crosstalk in polymer microelectrode arrays显示文摘Thin-film polymer microelectrcxje arrays(MEAs)facilitate the high-resolution neural recording with its superior mechanical compliance.However,the densely packed electrodes and interconnects along with the ultra-thin polymeric encapsulation/substrate layers give rise to non-negligible crosstalk,which could result in severe interference in the neural signal recording.Due to the lack of standardized characterization or modeling of crosstalk in neural electrode arrays,to date,crosstalk in polymer MEAs remains poorly understood.In this work,the crosstalk between two adjacent polymer microelectrodes is measured experimentally and modeled using equivalent circuits.Importantly,this study demonstrated a two-well measuring platform and systematically characterized the crosstalk in polymer microelectrodes with true isolation of the victim channel and precise control of its grounding condition.A simple,unified equation from detailed circuit modeling was proposed to calculate the crosstalk in different environments.Finite element analysis(FEA)analysis was conducted further to explore the crosstalk in more aggressively scaled polymer electrode threads.In addition to standardizing neural electrode array crosstalk characterization,this study not only reveals the dependence of the crosstalk in polymer MEAs on a variety of key device parameters but also provides general guidelines for the design of thin polymer MEAs for high-quality neural signal recording. | Yi Qiang Wen Gu Zehua Liu Shanchuan Liang Jae Hyeon Ryu Kyung Jin Seo Wentai Liu Hui Fang | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,9: | 0 |

| 6 | A labor-free index-guided semantic segmentation approach for urban vegetation mapping from high-resolution true color imagery显示文摘Accurate and timely information on urban vegetation(UV)can be used as an important indicator to estimate the health of cities.Due to the low cost of RGB cameras,true color imagery(TCI)has been widely used for high spatial resolution UV mapping.However,the current index-based and classifier-based UV mapping approaches face problems of the poor ability to accurately distinguish UV and the high reliance on massive annotated samples,respectively.To address this issue,an index-guided semantic segmentation(IGSS)framework is proposed in this paper.Firstly,a novel cross-scale vegetation index(CSVI)is calculated by the combination of TCI and Sentinel-2 images,and the index value can be used to provide an initial UV map.Secondly,reliable UV and non-UV samples are automatically generated for training the semantic segmentation model,and then the refined UV map can be produced.The experimental results show that the proposed CSVI outperformed the existingfive RGB vegetation indices in highlighting UV cover and suppressing complex backgrounds,and the proposed IGSS workflow achieved satisfactory results with an OA of 87.72%∼88.16%and an F1 score of 87.73%∼88.37%,which is comparable with the fully-supervised method. | Peng Zhang Cong Lin Shanchuan Guo Wei Zhang Hong Fang Peijun Du | 2023 | International Journal of Digital Earth2023,16,1: | 0 |
| 7 | Orbital Elements Ephemerides and Interfaces Design of LEO Satellites显示文摘Low earth orbit satellites,with unique advantages,are prosperous types of navigation augmentation satellites for the GNSS satellites constellations.The broadcast ephemeris element needs to be designed as an important index of the augmented LEOs.The GPS ephemerides of 16/18 elements cannot be directly applied to the LEOs because of the poor fitting accuracies in along-track positional component.Besides,the ill-conditioned problem of the normal-matrix exists in fitting algorithm due to the small eccentricity of the LEO orbits.Based on the nonsingular orbital elements,5 sets of ephemerides with element numbers from 16 to 19 were designed respectively by adding or modifying orbital elements magnifying the along-track and radial positional components.The fitting experiments based on the LEO of 300 to 1500 km altitudes show that the fitting UREs of the proposed 16/17/18/18*/19-element ephemerides are better than 10/6/4/5/2.5 cm,respectively.According to the dynamical range of the fitting elements,the interfaces were designed for the 5 sets of ephemerides.The effects of data truncation on fitting UREs are at millimeter level.The total bits are 329/343/376/379/396,respectively.29/15 bits are saved for the 16/17-element ephemerides compared with the GPS16 ephemeris,while 64/61/41 bits can be saved for the 18/18*/19-element ephemerides compared with the GPS18 elements ephemeris. | Shanchuan FANG Lan DU Yunpeng GAO Peiyuan ZHOU Zejun LIU | 2019 | Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2019,2,4: | 0 |
| 8 | A Convolutional and Transformer Based Deep Neural Network for Automatic Modulation Classification显示文摘Automatic modulation classification(AMC)aims at identifying the modulation of the received signals,which is a significant approach to identifying the target in military and civil applications.In this paper,a novel data-driven framework named convolutional and transformer-based deep neural network(CTDNN)is proposed to improve the classification performance.CTDNN can be divided into four modules,i.e.,convolutional neural network(CNN)backbone,transition module,transformer module,and final classifier.In the CNN backbone,a wide and deep convolution structure is designed,which consists of 1×15 convolution kernels and intensive cross-layer connections instead of traditional 1×3 kernels and sequential connections.In the transition module,a 1×1 convolution layer is utilized to compress the channels of the previous multi-scale CNN features.In the transformer module,three self-attention layers are designed for extracting global features and generating the classification vector.In the classifier,the final decision is made based on the maximum a posterior probability.Extensive simulations are conducted,and the result shows that our proposed CTDNN can achieve superior classification performance than traditional deep models. | Shanchuan Ying Sai Huang Shuo Chang Zheng Yang Zhiyong Feng Ningyan Guo | 2023 | China Communications2023,20,5: | 0 |
| 9 | Effects of dietary coenzyme Q10 supplementation during gestation on the embryonic survival and reproductive performance of high‑parity sows显示文摘Background Fertility declines in high-parity sows.This study investigated whether parity-dependent declines in embryonic survival and reproductive performance could be restored by dietary coenzyme Q10(CoQ10)supplementation.Methods Two experiments were performed.In Exp.1,30 young sows that had completed their 2nd parity and 30 high-parity sows that had completed their 10^(th)parity,were fed either a control diet(CON)or a CON diet supple-mented with 1 g/kg CoQ10(+CoQ10)from mating until slaughter at day 28 of gestation.In Exp.2,a total of 314 post-weaning sows with two to nine parities were fed the CON or+CoQ10 diets from mating throughout gestation.Results In Exp.1,both young and high-parity sows had a similar number of corpora lutea,but high-parity sows had lower plasma CoQ10 concentrations,down-regulated genes involved with de novo CoQ10 synthesis in the endome-trium tissues,and greater levels of oxidative stress markers in plasma and endometrium tissues.High-parity sows had fewer total embryos and alive embryos,lower embryonic survival,and greater embryo mortality than young sows.Dietary CoQ10 supplementation increased the number of live embryos and the embryonic survival rate to levels simi-lar to those of young sows,as well as lowering the levels of oxidative stress markers.In Exp.2,sows showed a parity-dependent decline in plasma CoQ10 levels,and sows with more than four parities showed a progressive decline in the number of total births,live births,and piglets born effective.Dietary supplementation with CoQ10 increased the number of total births,live births,and born effective,and decreased the intra-litter covariation coefficients and the percentage of sows requiring farrowing assistance during parturition.Conclusions Dietary CoQ10 supplementation can improve the embryonic survival and reproductive performance of gestating sows with high parity,probably by improving the development of uterine function. | Shanchuan Cao Honglin Yan Wenjie Tang Hongfu Zhang Jingbo Liu | 2023 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,5: | 0 |
