1Cytomegalovirus infection in the bone marrow transplant patient显示文摘Cytomegalovirus(CMV) infection is an important contributor to the morbidity and mortality associated with bone marrow transplantation(BMT). Infection may lead to CMV disease involving multiple organs such as pneumonia, gastroenteritis, retinitis, central nervus system involvement and others. CMV seropositivity is an important risk factor and approximately half of BMT recipients will develop clinically significant infection most commonly in the first 100 d post-transplant. The commonly used tests to diagnose CMV infection in these patients include the pp65 antigenemia test and the CMV DNA polymerase chain reaction(PCR) assay. Because of its greater sensitivity and lesser turnaround time, the CMV PCR is nowadays the preferred test and serves as a main guide for pre-emptive therapy. Methods of CMV prevention include use of blood products from seronegative donors or leukodepleted products. Prophylaxis or pre-emptive therapy strategies for CMV prevention may be used post-transplant with the latter becoming more common. The commonly used antivirals for pre-emptive therapy and CMV disease management include intravenous gancyclovir and foscarnet. 2Performance Comparison of DCT and VQ Based Techniques for Iris Recognition显示文摘Iris recognition enjoys universality,high degree of uniqueness and moderate user co-operation.This makes iris recognition systems unavoidable in emerging security & authentication mechanisms.An iris recognition system based on vector quantization (VQ) techniques is proposed and its performance is compared with the discrete cosine transform (DCT).The proposed system does not need any pre-processing and segmentation of the iris.We have tested Linde-BuzoGray (LBG),Kekre's proportionate error (KPE) algorithm and Kekre's fast codebook generation (KFCG) algorithm for the clustering purpose.Proposed vector quantization based method using KFCG requires 99.99% less computations as that of full 2-dimensional DCT.Further,the KFCG method gives better performance with the accuracy of 89.10% outperforming DCT that gives accuracy around 66.10%.H.B.Kekre Tanuja K. 3人lambda1和epsilon干扰素基因在WI-38细胞中的表达及其活性比较(英文)显示文摘研究新型干扰素hIFN-λ1和hIFN-ε基因在WI-38细胞中的表达及其生物学活性,并进行对比分析。构建His重组融合表达载体pcDNA3.1A-hIFN-λ1-His和pcDNA3.1A-hIFN-ε-His,脂质体法分别转染WI-38人胚肺细胞。采用微量细胞病变抑制试验研究和比较rhIFN-λ1-His和rhIFN-ε-His的抗病毒活性;MTT法检测其对肿瘤细胞生长的影响; RT-PCR相对定量法检测其诱导WI-38和SHG-44细胞产生人MxA抗病毒蛋白的活性。结果表明rhIFN-λ1-His抗病毒活性、抗肿瘤细胞增殖活性和诱导产生MxA蛋白活性要强于rhIFN-ε-His。hIFN-λ1和hIFN-ε干扰素的抗病毒效应的分子机理均与诱导细胞产生MxA抗病毒蛋白相关。为进一步探讨和比较hIFN-λ1和hIFN-ε的生物学活性及其作用机制奠定了一定的基础。SARODE Bhushan 盛伟华 谢宇锋 赵耀东 缪竞诚 杨吉成 2007中国生物工程杂志2007,27,3:2
