1龙眼ELF4同源基因的克隆与功能研究显示文摘以‘红核子’龙眼(Dimocarpus longan)叶芽为材料,克隆了ELF4同源基因DlELF4-1和DlELF4-2的cDNA全长序列,对序列进行了生物信息学分析,并通过转化拟南芥以及实时荧光定量PCR研究基因功能。蛋白序列比对结果表明,DlELF4-2与AtELF4-L1有较高相似度,而DlELF4-1与AtELF4相似度更高;构建两个基因的植物表达载体转化拟南芥,转基因植株都表现出延迟开花以及不定根生长的现象,表明DlELF4-1和DlELF4-2可能有抑制开花和促进生长素合成功能;DlELF4-1和DlELF4-2在龙眼花芽分化过程的表达模式不同,推测其在龙眼花芽分化过程中有不同的功能。付志远 贾天琦 彭媛 Saquib Weheed 曾黎辉 2018园艺学报2018,45,5:5
2Genotoxicity of ferric oxide nanoparticles in Raphanus sativus:Deciphering the role of signaling factors,oxidative stress and cell death显示文摘We have studied the genotoxic and apoptotic potential of ferric oxide nanoparticles(Fe_2O_3-NPs) in Raphanus sativus(radish).Fe_2O_3-NPs retarded the root length and seed germination in radish.Ultrathin sections of treated roots showed subcellular localization of Fe_2O_3-NPs,along with the appearance of damaged mitochondria and excessive vacuolization.Flow cytometric analysis of Fe_2O_3-NPs(1.0 mg/m L) treated groups exhibited 219.5%,161%,120.4% and 161.4% increase in intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS),mitochondrial membrane potential(ΔΨm),nitric oxide(NO) and Ca2+influx in radish protoplasts.A concentration dependent increase in the antioxidative enzymes glutathione(GSH),catalase(CAT),superoxide dismutase(SOD) and lipid peroxidation(LPO) has been recorded.Comet assay showed a concentration dependent increase in deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA) strand breaks in Fe_2O_3-NPs treated groups.Cell cycle analysis revealed 88.4% of cells in sub-G1 apoptotic phase,suggesting cell death in Fe_2O_3-NPs(2.0 mg/m L) treated group.Taking together,the genotoxicity induced by Fe_2O_3-NPs highlights the importance of environmental risk associated with improper disposal of nanoparticles(NPs) and radish can serve as a good indicator for measuring the phytotoxicity of NPs grown in NP-polluted environment.Quaiser Saquib Mohammad Faisal Abdulrahman A.Alatar Abdulaziz A.Al-Khedhairy Mukhtar Ahmed Sabiha M.Ansari Hend A.Alwathnani Mohammad K.Okla Sourabh Dwivedi Javed Musarrat Shelly Praveen Shams T.Khan Rizwan Wahab Maqsood A.Siddiqui Javed Ahmad 2016Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,9:2
3Cosmetic evaluation of surgical scars after external dacryocystorhinostomy显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the surgical scars of external dacryocystorhinostomy(DCR) cosmetically.·METHODS: Totally 50 consecutive cases of primary acquired nasolacrimal duct obstruction(PANDO) were included in the study. Surgical scars were assessed by the patients and two independent observers at 2, 6 and12 wk postoperatively on the basis of visibility of the scars and still photographs respectively and were graded from 0-3. Kappa test was utilised to check the agreement of scar grading between the two observers. Wilcoxan signed ranks test was used to analyse the improvement of scar grading.·RESULTS: Thirty-four(68%) patients graded their incision site as very visible(grade 3) at 2wk. At 6 and12 wk, incision site was observed as grade 3 by 7(14%)and 1(2%) patients respectively. Photographic evaluation of patients by 2 observers showed an average score of2.75, 1.94 and 0.94 at 2, 6 and 12 wk respectively. 4The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic course in Saudi Arabia:A dynamic epidemiological model显示文摘Objective:Saudi Arabia ranks second in the number of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)cases in the Eastern Mediterranean region.It houses the two most sacred religious places for Muslims:Mecca and Medina.It is important to know what the trend in case numbers will be in the next 4e6 months,especially during the Hajj pilgrimage season.Methods:Epidemiological data on COVID-19 were obtained from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health.A susceptible-exposed-infectious-recovered(SEIR)prediction model was constructed to predict the trend in COVID-19 in Saudi Arabia in the next 6 months.Findings:The model predicts that the number of active cases will peak by 22 May 2020.The cumulative infected cases are predicted to reach 70,321 at that time.The total number of infected individuals is estimated reach to 114,580 by the end of the pandemic.Conclusion:Our estimates show that by the time the Hajj season commences in Saudi Arabia,the pandemic will be in the midst of its deceleration phase(phase 3).This information will likely be useful to policymakers in their management of the outbreak.Abdullah Murhaf Al-Khani Mohamed Abdelghafour Khalifa Abdulrahman Almazrou Nazmus Saquib 2020Infectious Disease Modelling2020,5,1:2
