2Understanding the Effect of Zinc Oxide(ZnO)With Carbon Black Coupling Agent on Physico-Mechanical Properties in Natural Rubber Matrix显示文摘Natural rubber(NR)is not only the main compounding ingredient used to make the majority of components of tires as well as other rubber products,as it plays a significant role in ensuring that they operate well and complies with environmental standards. The applications of NR products are lim-ited to high temperatures due to the revision tendency of NR vulcanizate. To address these issues, the potential engagement of a carbon black(CB)coupling agent(CA)in the presence of metal oxide i.e.Zinc Oxide(ZnO)was investigated in an NR-based system. This CA has dual functionality on physicomechanical properties.CA has the ability to reduce hysteresis loss as well as improve anti-reversion properties and these properties thorough-ly depend on the presence of ZnO.While ZnO was added to the master formulation,a 65%improvement in reversion properties was observed. On the other hand, while ZnO fully transferred to the final formulation, bound rubber(BR)content increased by 19%,the difference in storage modulus(ΔG’)is reduced by 22%,cure rate index(CRI)improved by 14%,loss tangent(tanδ)reduced by 18%and slightly improve in elongation at break compared to control compound.Thermo-gravimetric analysis(TGA)was engaged to understand the thermal stability and degree of purity of CA.A differential Scanning Calorimeter(DSC)was used to detect the phase tran-sition of CA.Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrum(FTIR)was adopted to detect the presence of carboxyl and amine groups in the CA moiety.Payne effect,BR content and Transmission Electron Microscope(TEM)were em-ployed to investigate the micro-level dispersion of CB in the natural rubber(NR)matrix.Koushik Pal Koushik Banerjee Soumya Ghosh Chowdhury Sanjay Kumar Bhattacharyya Rabindra Mukhopadhyay 2022Organic Polymer Material Research2022,4,2:0
3Exposure to Electromagnetic Fields from Mobile Phones and Fructose consumption Coalesce to Perturb Metabolic Regulators AMPK/SIRT1-UCP2/FOXO1 in Growing Rats显示文摘Objective In this study, the combined effect of two stressors, namely, electromagnetic fields(EMFs)from mobile phones and fructose consumption,on hypothalamic and hepatic master metabolic regulators of the AMPK/SIRT1-UCP2/FOXO1 pathway were elucidated to delineate the underlying molecular mechanisms of insulin resistance. Methods Weaned Wistar rats(28 days old)were divided into 4 groups:Normal,Exposure Only(ExpO),Fructose Only(FruO),and Exposure and Fructose(EF).Each group was provided standard laboratory chow ad libitum for 8 weeks.Additionally, the control groups, namely, the Normal and FruO groups, had unrestricted access to drinking water and fructose solution(15%),respectively.Furthermore,the respective treatment groups, namely, the ExpO and EF groups, received EMF exposure(1,760 MHz,2 h/day x 8 weeks). In early adulthood, mitochondrial function, insulin receptor signaling, and oxidative stress signals in hypothalamic and hepatic tissues were assessed using western blotting and biochemical analysis.Result In the hypothalamic tissue of EF,SIRT1,FOXO 1,p-PI3K,p-AKT,ComplexⅢ,UCP2,MnSOD,and catalase expressions and OXPHOS and GSH activities were significantly decreased(P<0.05)compared to the Normal,ExpO,and FruO groups. In hepatic tissue of EF,the p-AMPKα,SIRT1,FOXO1,IRS1,p-PI3K,ComplexⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ,UCP2,and MnSOD expressions and the activity of OXPHOS,SOD,catalase, and GSH were significantly reduced compared to the Normal group(P<0.05).Conclusion The findings suggest that the combination of EMF exposure and fructose consumption during childhood and adolescence in Wistar rats disrupts the closely interlinked and multi-regulated crosstalk of insulin receptor signals, mitochondrial OXPHOS,and the antioxidant defense system in the hypothalamus and liver.Ruchi Tripathi Sanjay Kumar Banerjee Jay Prakash Nirala Rajani Mathur 2023Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2023,36,11:0
4Jet modification in absence of QGP-medium:the role of multiparton interactions and color reconnection显示文摘Recent studies on high-multiplicity events in small collision systems(proton-proton and proton-lead)have drawn considerable research interest toward the possibility of the formation of partonic medium in such systems. One of the important consequences of the formation of dense partonic medium is the quenching of high-momentum final-state particles, resulting in several experimental observations such as suppression in nuclear modification factor RAA,modification of jet shape observableρ(r)and jet fragmentation(z^(ch))distributions, etc. In this work,we studyρ(r)and z^(ch)for inclusive charged-particle jets in proton-proton(pp)collisions at√s=13 TeV using the PYTHIA 8 Monash 2013 Monte Carlo simulation. We show that the color reconnection(CR)and multiparton interaction(MPI)mechanisms in PYTHIA 8 can lead to an increased rate of jet production. We also find that the mechanisms of MPI and CR and change in the gluonic contribution in high-multiplicity events result in significant modification ofρ(r)and z^(ch)compared to those in minimum bias events for 10and gluonic contribution with the amount of modification inρ(r):the larger the number of MPIs and/or gluonic contribution, the larger the amount of modification ofρ(r).Prottoy Das Abhi Modak Debjani Banerjee Rathijit Biswas Supriya Das Sanjay KGhosh Sibaji Raha Sidharth Kumar Prasad 2024Chinese Physics C2024,48,1:0
