1A laser ablated graphene-based flexible self-powered pressure sensor for human gestures and finger pulse monitoring显示文摘Flexible triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs)-based pressure sensors are very essential for the wide-range applications, comprising wearable healthcare systems, intuitive human-device interfaces, electronic-skin (e-skin), and artificial intelligence. Most of conventional fabrication methods used to produce high-performance TENGs involve plasma treatment, photolithography, printing, and electro-deposition. However, these fabrication techniques are expensive, multi-step, time-consuming and not suitable for mass production, which are the main barriers for efficient and cost-effective commercialization of TENGs. Here, we established a highly reliable scheme for the fabrication of a novel eco-friendly, low cost, and TENG-based pressure sensor (TEPS) designed for usage in self-powered-human gesture detection (SP-HGD) likewise wearable healthcare applications. The sensors with microstructured electrodes performed well with high sensitivity (7.697 kPa^-1), a lower limit of detection (~ 1 Pa), faster response time (< 9.9 ms), and highly stable over > 4,000 compression-releasing cycles. The proposed method is suitable for the adaptable fabrication of TEPS at an extremely low cost with possible applications in self-powered systems, especially e-skin and healthcare applications.Partha Sarati Das Ashok Chhetry Pukar Maharjan M. 5Impact of Cyclone Nilam on Tropical Lower Atmospheric Dynamics显示文摘A deep depression formed over the Bay of Bengal on 28 October 2012, and developed into a cyclonic storm. After landfall near the south coast of Chennai, cyclone Nilam moved north-northwestwards. Coordinated experiments were conducted from the Indian stations of Gadanki(13.5?N, 79.2?E) and Hyderabad(17.4?N, 78.5?E) to study the modification of gravity-wave activity and turbulence by cyclone Nilam, using GPS radiosonde and mesosphere–stratosphere–troposphere radar data. The horizontal velocities underwent large changes during the closest approach of the storm to the experimental sites. Hodograph analysis revealed that inertia gravity waves(IGWs) associated with the cyclone changed their directions from northeast(control time) to northwest following the path of the cyclone. The momentum flux of IGWs and short-period gravity waves(1–8 h) enhanced prior to, and during, the passage of the storm(±0.05 m2s-2and ±0.3 m2s-2, respectively), compared to the flux after its passage. The corresponding body forces underwent similar changes, with values ranging between ±2–4m s-1d-1and ±12–15 m s-1d-1. The turbulence refractivity structure constant(C2n) showed large values below 10 km before the passage of the cyclone when humidity in the region was very high. Turbulence and humidity reduced during the passage of the storm when a turbulent layer at ~17 km became more intense. Turbulence in the lower troposphere and near the tropopause became weak after the passage of the cyclone.P.VINAY KUMAR Gopa DUTTA M.V.RATNAM E.KRISHNA B.BAPIRAJU B.Venkateswara RAO Salauddin MOHAMMAD 2016Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2016,33,8:1

7Target specificity of selective bioactive compounds in blocking α-dystroglycan receptor to suppress Lassa virus infection: an in silico approach显示文摘Lassa hemorrhagic fever, caused by Lassa mammarenavirus(LASV)infection, accumulates up to 5000 deaths every year.Currently, there is no vaccine available to combat this disease. In this study,a library of 200 bioactive compounds was virtually screened to study their drug-likeness with the capacity to block theα-dystroglycan(α-DG)receptor and prevent LASV influx.Following rigorous absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion(ADME)and quantitative structure-activity relationship(QSAR)profiling, molecular docking was conducted with the top ligands against theα-DG receptor. The compounds chrysin, reticuline, and 3-caffeoylshikimic acid emerged as the top three ligands in terms of binding affinity.Post-docking analysis revealed that interactions with Arg76,Asn224,Ser259,and Lys302 amino acid residues of the receptor protein were important for the optimum binding affinity of ligands.Molecular dynamics simulation was performed comprehensively to study the stability of the protein-ligand complexes.In-depth assessment of root-mean-square deviation(RMSD),root mean square fluctuation(RMSF),polar surface area(PSA),B-Factor,radius of gyration(Rg),solvent accessible surface area(SASA),and molecular surface area(MolSA)values of the protein-ligand complexes affirmed that the candidates with the best binding affinity formed the most stable protein-ligand complexes. To authenticate the potentialities of the ligands as target-specific drugs,an in vivo study is underway in real time as the continuation of the research.Adittya Arefin Tanzila Ismail Ema Tamnia Islam MdSaddam Hossen Tariqul Islam Salauddin Al Azad MdNasir Uddin Badal MdAminul Islam Partha Biswas Nafee Ul Alam Enayetul Islam Maliha Anjum Afsana Masud MdShaikh Kamran Ahsab Rahman Parag Kumar Paul 2021The Journal of Biomedical Research2021,35,6:0
8ANTIVIRAL EFFECTS OF BACTERIOCIN AGAINST ANIMAL-TO-HUMAN TRANSMITTABLE MUTATED SARS-COV-2:A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW显示文摘The COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2 has resulted in millions of people being infected and thousands of deaths globally since November 2019.To date,no unique therapeutic agent has been developed to slow the progression of this pandemic.Despite possessing antiviral traits the potential of bacteriocins to combat SARS-CoV-2 infection has not been fully investigated. This review summarizes the mechanisms by which bacteriocins can be manipulated and implemented as effective virus entry blockers with infection suppression potential properties to highly transmissible viruses through comprehensive immune modulations that are potentially effective against COVID-19.These antimicrobial peptides have been suggested as effective antiviral therapeutics and therapeutic supplements to prevent rapid virus transmission. This review also provides a new insight into the cellular and molecular alterations which have made SARS-CoV-2 self-modified with diversified infection patterns. In addition, the possible applications of antimicrobial peptides through both natural and induced mechanisms in infection prevention perspectives on changeable virulence cases are comprehensively analyzed.Specific attention is given to the antiviral mechanisms of the molecules along with their integrative use with synthetic biology and nanosensor technology for rapid detection.Novel bacteriocin based therapeutics with cutting-edge technologies might be potential substitutes for existing time-consuming and expensive approaches to fight this newly emerged global threat.Dipta DEY Tanzila Ismail EMA Partha BISWAS Sharmin AKTAR Shoeba ISLAM Urmi Rahman RINIK Mahmudul FIROZ Shahlaa Zernaz AHMED Salauddin AL AZAD Ahsab RAHMAN Sadia AFRIN Rezwan Ahmed MAHEDI MdNasir Uddin BADAL 2021Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering2021,8,4:0
9Fault Detection for Microgrid Feeders Using Features Based on Superimposed Positive-sequence Power显示文摘With the integration of distributed generation(DG) into a microgrid, fault detection has become a major task to accomplish. A scheme for microgrid feeder protection based on a newly proposed feature, ΔRP, defined as the ratio of the sum of positive-sequence real power(PSRP) at the two ends of the feeder to the larger of the PSRPs among the two ends, is proposed. If ΔRP is larger than a threshold, an internal fault is detected;otherwise, the fault is external or there is no fault. The proposed scheme is tested in various scenarios, including fault type, fault resistance, fault location, fault inception angle, varying DG penetration levels, and simultaneous, evolving, and composite faults. In addition to this, the proposed scheme offers a robust performance when subjected to noise, synchronization error, changes in sampling frequency, and changes in the topology of a microgrid. The dominancy of the proposed scheme is proven by a comprehensive comparative study with various available recent schemes. Test results on the IEEE 13-bus network indicate the viability of the proposed protection scheme for a microgrid. Finally, the proposed scheme has been validated on a real-time simulator.Salauddin Ansari Om Hari Gupta Om P.Malik 2023Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2023,11,6:0
