1Advances and challenges of methanol-tolerant oxygen reduction reaction electrocatalysts for the direct methanol fuel cell显示文摘Methanol cross-over effects from the anode to the cathode are important parameters for reducing catalytic performance in direct methanol fuel cells.A promising candidate catalyst for the cathode in direct methanol fuel cells must have excellent activity toward oxygen reduction reaction and resistance to methanol oxidation reaction.This review focuses on the methanol tolerant noble metal-based electrocatalysts,including platinum and palladium-based alloys,noble metal–carbon based composites,transition metal-based catalysts,carbon-based metal catalysts,and metal-free catalysts.The understanding of the correlation between the activity and the synthesis method,electrolyte environment and stability issues are highlighted.For the transition metal-based catalyst,their activity,stability and methanol tolerance in direct methanol fuel cells and comparisons with those of platinum are particularly discussed.Finally,strategies to enhance the methanol tolerance and hinder the generation of mixed potential in direct methanol fuel cells are also presented.This review provides a perspective for future developments for the scientist in selecting suitable methanol tolerate catalyst for oxygen reduction reaction and designing high-performance practical direct methanol fuel cells.Muhammad Aizaz Ud Din Muhammad Idrees Sidra Jamil Syed Irfan Ghazanfar Nazir Muhammad Ahmad Mudassir Muhammad Shahrukh Saleem Saima Batool Nanpu Cheng Rahman Saidur 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,2:0

3Distribution of heavy metals in water and sediment of an urban river in a developing country:A probabilistic risk assessment显示文摘River water and sediment embody environmental characteristics that give valuable eco-environmental information.Due to rapid industrialization,the aquatic environment of any urban river can be seriously polluted by heavy metals(HMs).The global concern is caused by heavy metal pollution because of its potential harm to aquatic ecosystems and human health.In the Bhairab River,Bangladesh,surface sediment concentrations of globally alarming toxic metals such as arsenic(As),chromium(Cr),cadmium(Cd),and lead(Pb)were measured to determine the ecological and human health risks of the riverine ecosystem.The average As,Cr,Cd,and Pb concentrations in water were 3.55,31.74,1.44,and 23.82 mg/L,respectively,and in sediment were 4.13,34.17,1.66,and 25.46 mg/kg,respectively.During the winter,metals in sediment were higher than during the summer.For most sediment samples,the enrichment factor(EF),contamination factor(CF),geoaccumulation index(Igeo),pollution load index(PLI)of As,Cr,Cd,and Pb indicated moderate contamination.The potential ecological risk(PER)in sediment followed the descending order of Cd>As>Pb>Cr.The contamination level of toxic metals implied that the condition is frightening and probably severely affecting the aquatic ecology of this riverine ecosystem.Mir Mohammad Ali Saima Rahman Md Saiful Islam Md Refat Jahan Rakib Shaharior Hossen Md Zillur Rahman Tapos Kormoker Abubakr M.I.dris Khamphe Phoungthong 2022International Journal of Sediment Research2022,37,2:0
4IoT and Blockchain-Based Mask Surveillance System for COVID-19 Prevention Using Deep Learning显示文摘On the edge of the worldwide public health crisis,the COVID-19 disease has become a serious headache for its destructive nature on humanity worldwide.Wearing a facial mask can be an effective possible solution to mitigate the spreading of the virus and reduce the death rate.Thus,wearing a face mask in public places such as shopping malls,hotels,restaurants,homes,and offices needs to be enforced.This research work comes up with a solution of mask surveillance system utilizing the mechanism of modern computations like Deep Learning(DL),Internet of things(IoT),and Blockchain.The absence or displacement of the mask will be identified with a raspberry pi,a camera module,and the operations of DL and Machine Learning(ML).The detected information will be sent to the cloud server with the mechanism of IoT for real-time data monitoring.The proposed model also includes a Blockchain-based architecture to secure the transactions of mask detection and create efficient data security,monitoring,and storage fromintruders.This research further includes an IoT-based mask detection scheme with signal bulbs,alarms,and notifications in the smartphone.To find the efficacy of the proposed method,a set of experiments has been enumerated and interpreted.This research work finds the highest accuracy of 99.95%in the detection and classification of facial masks.Some related experiments with IoT and Block-chain-based integration have also been performed and calculated the corresponding experimental data accordingly.ASystemUsability Scale(SUS)has been accomplished to check the satisfaction level of use and found the SUS score of 77%.Further,a comparison among existing solutions on three emergent technologies is included to track the significance of the proposed scheme.However,the proposed system can be an efficient mask surveillance system for COVID-19 and workable in real-time mask detection and classification.Wahidur Rahman Naif Al Mudawi Abdulwahab Alazeb Muhammad Minoar Hossain Saima Siddique Tashfia MdTarequl Islam Shisir Mia Mohammad Motiur Rahman 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,7:0
