1Melanocortin-1 receptor gene variants in four Chinese ethnic populations显示文摘There is strong relationship between melanocortin-1 receptor (MCIR) gene variants and human hair color and skin type. Based on a sequencing study of MC1R gene in 50 individuals from the Uygur, Tibetan, Wa and Dai ethnic populations, we discuss the occurrence of 7 mc1r variants consisting of 5 nonsynonymous sites (Val60Leu, Arg67Gln, Val92Met, Arg163Gln and Ala299Val) and 2 synonymous sites (C414T and A942G), among which C414T and Ala299Val were reported for the first time. Confirmation and analysis were the made of 122 individuals at three common point mutations (Val92Met, Arg163Gln, A942G) using PCR-SSCP. The frequency of Arg163Gln variant varies in the four ethnic populations, with percentage of 40%, 85.0%, 66. 2% and 72.7%, respectively, while those of Val92Met and A942G are roughly similar in these four populations. The different environments, migration and admixture of various ethnic groups in China might have impact on the observed frequency of Arg163Gln.ShiP LuXM 2001Cell Research2001,11,1:11
2NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS OF CAVITATING FLOWS显示文摘A new model, which involves viscous and multi-phase effects, was given to study cavitating flows. A local compressible model was established by introducing a density-pressure function to account for the two-phase flow of water/vapor and the transition from one phase to the other. An algorithm for calculating variable-density N-S equations of cavitating flow problem was put forward. The present method yields reasonable results for both steady and unsteady cavitating flows in 2D and 3D cases. The numerical results of unsteady character of cavitating flows around hydrofoils coincide well with experimental data. 3A NEW LARGE CAVITATION CHANNEL IN CHINA SHIP SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH CENTER显示文摘After about 10 years’ runing of the LCC(DTRC,USA) and the HYKAT(HSVA,Germany), another new large cavitation channel with low background noise is to be in operation in China Ship Scientific Research Center(CSSRC),Wuxi,China. The important specific properties of the channel are the large test section (2.0 m in height, 2.2 m in width and 10.5 m in length), the maximum speed of more than 15 m/s, the low turbulence level, the low background noise of the whole facility, togother with the new noise measurement system. So large scale models can be tested with only minor wall effects and at high Renolds numbers, and the pretentious acoustical measurements can be performed. 4Design optimization of cast Cu-Al-Be-B alloys for high damping capacity显示文摘This paper investigated high-damping Cu-Al-Be-B cast alloys using metallographic analysis, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and electrical resistance measurements for transformation temperatures. The results showed that beryllium can stabilize β phase, resulting in a thermo-elastic martensite microstructure leading to high-damping capacity in cast Cu-Al-Be-B alloys. Trace additions of boron to Cu-Al-Be alloys can significantly refine the grains, providing high strength and ductility to the alloys. A factorial design of experiment method was used to optimize the composition and properties of cast Cu-Al-Be-B alloys. The optimal microstructure for thermo-elastic martensite can be obtained by adjusting the amounts of aluminum and beryllium to eutectoid or pseudo-eutectoid compositions. 6Second-order consensus in networks of dynamic agents with communication time-delays显示文摘This paper proposes second-order consensus protocols with time-delays and gives the measure of the robustness of the protocols to the time-delay existing in the network of agents with second-order dynamics. By employing a frequency domain method, it is proven that the information states and their time derivatives of all the agents in the network achieve consensus asymptotically, respectively, for appropriate communication timedelay if the topology of weighted network is connected. Particularly, a tight upper bound on the communication time-delay that can be tolerated in the dynamic network is found. The consensus protocols are distributed in the sense that each agent only needs information from its neighboring agents, which reduces the complexity of connections between neighboring agents significantly. 7Deposition features of Ni on self-assembled microtubule template from biolipid by electroless method显示文摘Diacetylenic glycero-phosphatidylcholine is a chiral molecule with amphiphilic property, and it can self-assembly into a lipid microtubular structure. The lipid microtubule is a stable structure formed by tightly wound helical ribbons, and the ribbon-wrapping patterns have a significant effect on their chemical deposition on the microtubules. The deposition of colloidal Pd catalyst occurs mainly on the helical edge of the wound helical ribbons to form helical deposition lines of colloidal Pd particles in the interior and exterior of the lipid microtubules, resulting in an uneven chemical deposition of Ni on the microtubules. Catalyzed by as-deposited colloidal Pd, metallized Ni microtubules are characterized by a helical form, which may be in relation to inner stress due to the thickness difference or the different deposition processes. The observation of microtom shows that metallized tubules have a hollow structure. Some metallized tubules have a kind of coaxial double layer structure observed in the direct experiment evidence, indicating that metallization can occur in the inner and outer surface of the lipid tubules. 8Non-linear acoustic radiation by an underwater vibrating spherical shell显示文摘This paper deals with the non-linear propagation of sound waves radiated by a thin spherical shell vibrating in ideal lluid. Non-linear sound field is obtained by the method of renormalization proposed by Kelly and Nayfeh. Considering the acoustic load, we use Junger and his cooperators’ spherical function expan8ion to obtain the structural response of the spherical shell. By combining both of the above methods, the structural response, the waveshape before the formation of shock wave and the first two order waves (including the 1st and 2nd harmonics, sum and difference frequency waves) are calculated respectively. They vary with frequency, distance and directions. And the power flow transmission function in such a system as with multi disturbance, multi mounts, passive isolators and actuators is deduced. 10Anti-diabetic Activity of Zhenqing Recipe and Ligustri Lucidi Fructus in Type 2 Diabetic Rats显示文摘Objective To investigate the influence of Zhenqing Recipe(ZQR)and Ligustri Lucidi Fructus(LLF)on diabetic rats and its possible mechanism.Methods The model of type 2 diabetic rats was established by feeding a high-sucrose-high-fat diet and injecting a low dose of Streptozotocin in Wistar rats.The model rats were randomly divided into three groups:diabetic model,ZQR-treated,and LLF-treated groups for 8-weeks treatment.The normal Wistar rats were as a normal control group.Results The level of fasting blood glucose in ZQR and LLF groups was decreased compared with model group(P<0.01,0.05,respectively).Both ZQR and LLF markedly reduced serum triglycerides(P<0.01,0.05,respectively),and increased the insulin sensitivity index(P<0.05).Histopathology revealed that ZQR and LLF reduced pancreatic damage.Immunohistochemistry evaluation showed that the percentage of insulin positive cells in pancreatic island was higher than model group(P<0.01,0.05,respectively).The mRNA and protein expression of SREBP-1c in pancreas were significantly decreased in ZQR and FLL group(P<0.01).Conclusion ZQR has therapeutic effect on type 2 diabetes,it ameliorates the histopathological changes of pancreas,protectsβcells,improves insulin resistance,and attenuates the expression of SREBP-1c.This study also provides the anti-diabetic evidence of FLL even its effects are weaker than ZQR.WEN Xiu-ying1,XU Wen-guang1,XIONG Ling1,XU Ming-wang1,LIU Hao1,ZHANG Hong1,LUO Qiong2,NIAO Qiu-hong1,LIU Li-fang3 1.Liyuan Hospital of Tongji Medical College,Huazhong University of Science and Technology,Wuhan 430077,China 2.General Hospital of the Yangtze River shipping,Wuhan 430015,China 3.The Central Hospital of Ezhou City,Ezhou 436000,China 2011Chinese Herbal Medicines2011,3,1:2
11Fabrication of Ni-decorated helical ribbon composite microstructure from self-assembled lipid tubule by electroless metallization显示文摘Lipid molecules can self-assemble into a tubular structure, which is formed by tightly wound helical ribbons. Lipid tubules are utilized as a precursor to fabricate a novel Ni-decorated helical ribbon composite microstructure in a high yield by electroless deposition. The microstructure carries Ni nanoparticles on the flat face and wires at the edge of helical ribbon, in which the average size of nanoparticles is about 40―60 nm, and the wires are of a layered structure strongly correlated with a multi-bilayer structure in the lipid membrane. Compared with the tubular precursor, the Ni-decorated composite microstructure becomes short and irregular shapes due to the breakage in the deposition, and its formation is largely bound up with the tubular helical structure and the different catalytic process. 12THE BUBMAC METHOD-A NUMERICAL METHOD BUBBLE DYNAMICS IN VORTEX CORE显示文摘This paper presents a numerical method called BUBMAC method,whichis based on the Marker And Cell(MAC) technique,to numerically simulate the problemof bubble dynamics in vortex core. With the incorporation of the azimuthal velocity intothe momentum equation, the model takes into account the complete interaction betweenthe bubble dynamics and the vortex flow field.The three momentum equations (N-Seqs.) are solved numerically by the finite-difference methed, and the motion of bubblesurface is described by tracing massless marker particles distributed only on the surface ofthe bubble. With some important medifications to the original MAC method, the numeri-cal accuracy of the method is conisderably increased. The validation of the proposed BUB-MAC method is checked by comparing the numerical results with some available analyticalsolutions in the cases of spherical bubble evolution and with numerical results in the casesof nonspherical collapse of bubble and bubble evolution in tip-vortex core. 15A STUDY ON CAVITATION AND CAVITATION DAMAGE IN A CAVITATION TUNNEL显示文摘The test results on cavitation and cavitation damage in a cavitation tunnel arepresented in this paper.The cavitator in the shape of 60 deg.symmetric wedge was mounted in-to the inlet of the working section of 20×40×170mm^3 in size.The velocities ranged from8.5m/s to 13.5m/s.At first,the flow structure around the wedge was revealed by a LaserDoppler Velocimetry.Then,the fluctuating pressure signals induced by vortex cavitation werepicked up by a micro-transducer.Cavitation erosion tests were just done at the velocity of13.5m/s.The aim of this work is to investigate the relation between cavitation inception andflow structure and to explore the dependence of cavitation damage on cavitation intensity.Thecavitation intensity which is defined as the power density per unit time can be regarded as the in-put of the test system.The intensity of cavitation damage is supposed to be the consumed powerdensity per unit time and considered as the output of the system of test,The ratio of the output tothe input is as the efficiency of the test system.The test results also show that the output is verysmall in quantity as compared with the input.Ji Zhi-ye China Ship Scientific Research Center,Wuxi 214082,P.R.China 1993Journal of Hydrodynamics1993,5,3:1
16SOME PROBLEMS ABOUT SHIP WAVES显示文摘Several problems about ship waves were discussed in the dissertation: (1) Transient ship waves from calmness to the generation of steady-state ship waves were described. (2) The procedure of the formation of the V-shaped steady-state ship waves were clearly shown, and the difference of ship waves on an inviscid fluid and on a viscous fluid was exmined. (3) With the Lighthill two-stage scheme, the algebraic expression for ship waves on a viscous fluid of finite depth was obtained.
