1热处理条件对搅拌摩擦镁合金接头各区域抗弹行为的影响显示文摘采用搅拌摩擦焊(FSW)工艺制备AZ31B镁合金焊接接头,并在不同条件下进行热处理。研究AZ31B镁合金焊后热处理(PWHT)不同区域的抗弹行为,使用7.62 mm×39 mm穿甲弹,冲击速度为(430±20)m/s。分析热处理前后搅拌摩擦焊接头的显微硬度。结果表明,PWHT工艺(250°C,1 h)能提高热处理后搅拌摩擦焊接头的显微硬度。扫描电镜(SEM)结果显示,热处理使α-Mg晶粒细化,形成细小的析出相,使β-Mg17Al12相溶解到Mg基体中。通过穿深(DOP)试验评估PWHT不同区域的抗弹行为。热处理后接头母材区(BMZ)的DOP值较小。抗弹试验后对弹坑周边3个区域的横截面进行SEM表征,观察到绝热剪切带(ASB)的形成。S.DHARANI KUMAR S.SURESH KUMAR 2021Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China2021,31,1:7
2Investigating the surface integrity of aluminium based composites machined by EDM显示文摘In the present work, the surface characteristics of Electrical Discharge Machined (EDM) Al (6351)eSiC and Al (6351)eSiCeB4C composites are investigated. The composites are prepared by employing the conventional stir casting technique, as it can produce better particle dispersion in the matrix. The detailed experimental study is performed on the composites by varying current (I), duty factor (t), pulse on time (Ton), and the gap voltage (V) in order to analyze the Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) formed in the sub surface and the average crater diameter formed on the machined surface of the composites as an output function. The formation of recast layers, presence of bubbles and the surface texture of the composites at various machining conditions are observed. The results show that the increased Metal Removal Rate (MRR) increases the depth of HAZ and the average crater diameter on the machined area. 3Failure investigation on high velocity impact deformation of boron carbide(B_(4)C) reinforced fiber metal laminates of titanium/glass fiber reinforced polymer显示文摘High velocity ballistic impact deformation behaviour of Titanium/GFRP Fiber Metal Laminates(FML)has been explored.Both single and multiple projectiles impact conditions were considered.Ti/GFRP FML targets were fabricated with addition of 5%and 10%weight percentage of boron carbide(B_(4)C)particles.Mechanical properties of Ti/GFRP FML targets were determined as per ASTM standards.High velocity ballistic experiments were conducted using Armour Piercing Projectile(APP)of diameter 7.62 mm and velocity ranging between 350 and 450 m/s.Depth of penetration of the projectile into the target was measured.The deformation behaviour of Ti/GFRP targets with and without the presence of ceramic powder(B_(4)C)was investigated.“Ductile hole growth”failure mode was observed for pure GFRP target when subjected to single projectile impact whereas“plugging”failure mode was noted for Ti/GFRP targets.The presence of B_(4)C(5%by weight)particles has significantly improved the ballistic resistance of the Ti/GFRP FML target by offering frictional resistance to the projectile penetration.Further addition(10%by weight)of B_(4)C has reduced the ballistic performance due to agglomeration.None of the targets showed‘brittle cracking’or‘fragmentation’failures.When compared to the published results of Aluminium(Al 1100/GFRP and Al 6061/GFRP)FMLs,Ti/GFRP FML showed lesser DoP which increases its potential application to aerospace industry.S.Suresh Kumar P.A.Shankar K.Lalith Kumar 2022Defence Technology(防务技术)2022,18,6:1
