2A cesium fluoride promoted efficient and rapid multicomponent synthesis of functionalized 2-amino-3-cyano-4H-pyran and spirooxindole derivatives显示文摘A rapid, one-pot and highly efficient protocol for the synthesis of pharmaceutically interesting functionalized 2-amino-3-cyano-4H-pyran and spirooxindole derivatives has been developed using commercially available Cs F as a catalyst in the reaction of malononitrile and aryl aldehydes or isatins with 1,3-cyclohexanediones. 3Graphene-wrapped Ag3PO4/LaCO3OH heterostructures for water purification under visible light显示文摘We demonstrated a unique synthesis approach of graphene(GR)-wrapped Ag_3PO_4/LaCO_3OH(APO/LCO)heterostructures by an in-situ wet chemical method. FESEM analysis reveals the formation of rhombic dodecahedrons of APO decorated with LCO and later wrapped with GR flakes. Optical studies shows two absorption edges corresponding to the band gap energies of APO(2.41 eV) and LCO(4.1 eV). Considering the absorption edge of the heterostructures in the visible region, the photocatalytic activities of photocatalysts containing different APO/LCO mass ratios were evaluated by the degradation of MB. GR-decorated composite with 20% LCO(APO/LCO20/GR) exhibited the highest photocatalytic activity for MB degradation, with a rate constant, k of 0.541 min^(-1). The photocatalytic activity of APO/LCO20/GR more greatly enhanced than those of the individual constituents(APO, LCO, APO/LCO20). The enhanced photocatalytic activity of the heterostructure can be attributed to the co-catalytic effect of LCO as well as intriguing physicochemical properties of GR. To understand the enhanced photocatalytic activity of the heterostructures the photocatalytic reaction mechanism is proposed in detail. 8Some new results on time-varying Stratonovich and Itô bilinear stochastic systems显示文摘The bilinear stochasticity of dynamical systems is attributed to the input–output coupling term,where the input is a random input and the state is the output of dynamical systems.Stochastically influenced bilinear systems are described via bilinear stochastic differential equations.In this paper,first we construct a mathematical method for the closed-form solution to a scalar Stratonovich time-varying bilinear stochastic differential equation driven by a vector random input as well as the Itôcounterpart.Second,the analytic results of the paper are applied to an electrical circuit that assumes the structure of a bilinear stochastic dynamic circuit.The noise analysis of the bilinear dynamic circuit is achieved by deriving the mean and variance equations as well.The theory of this paper hinges on the‘Stratonovich calculus’,conversion of the Stratonovich integral into the Itôintegral and characteristic function of the vector Brownian motion.The results of this paper will be useful for research communities looking for estimation and control of bilinear stochastic differential systems.Nanasaheb S.Patil Shambhu N.Sharma 2014Journal of Control and Decision2014,1,4:0

12The growth of biopolymers and natural earthen sources as membrane/separator materials for microbial fuel cells:A comprehensive review显示文摘Microbial fuel cell(MFC)technology has emerged as an effective solution for energy insecurity and bioremediation.However,identifying suitable components(particularly separators or membranes)with the required properties,such as low cost and high performance,remains challenging and restricts practical application.Commercial membranes,such as Nafion,exhibit excellent performance in MFC.However,these membranes have high production costs,which considerably increase the overall MFC unit cell cost.Among the numerous types,the separators or membranes developed from biopolymers and naturally occurring earthen sources have proven to be a novel and efficient concept due to their natural abundance,cost-effectiveness(approximately$20 m^(-2),$5 m^(-2),and$1 kg-1for biopolymers,ceramics,and earthensources,respectively),structural properties,proton transportation,manufacturing and modification ease,and environmental friendliness.In this review,we emphasize cost-effective renewable green materials(biopolymers,bio-derived materials,and naturally occurring soil,clay,ceramics or minerals)for MFC applications for the first time.Biopolymers with good thermal,mechanical,and water retention properties,sustainability,and environmental friendliness,such as cellulose and chitosan,are typically preferred.Furthermore,the modification or introduction of various functional groups in biopolymers to enhance their functional properties and scale MFC power density is explored.Subsequently,separator/membrane development using various bio-sources(such as coconut shells,banana peels,chicken feathers,and tea waste ash)is described.Additionally,naturally occurring sources such as clay,montmorillonite,and soils(including red,black,rice-husk,and Kalporgan soil)for MFC were reviewed.In conclusion,the existing gap in MFC technology was filled by providing recommendations for future aspects based on the barriers in cost,environment,and characteristics.Gowthami Palanisamy Sadhasivam Thangarasu Ranjith Kumar Dharman Chandrashekar S.Patil Thakur Prithvi Pal Singh Negi Mahaveer D.Kurkuri Ranjith Krishna Pai Tae Hwan Oh 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,5:0
13Improved region growing segmentation for breast cancer detection:progression of optimized fuzzy classifier显示文摘Purpose-Breast cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in women,which badly have an effect on women’s physical and psychological health and even danger to life.Nowadays,mammography is considered as a fundamental criterion for medical practitioners to recognize breast cancer.Though,due to the intricate formation of mammogram images,it is reasonably hard for practitioners to spot breast cancer features.Design/methodology/approach-Breast cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in women,which badly have an effect on women’s physical and psychological health and even danger to life.Nowadays,mammography is considered as a fundamental criterion for medical practitioners to recognize breast cancer.Though,due to the intricate formation of mammogram images,it is reasonably hard for practitioners to spot breast cancer features.Findings-The performance analysis was done for both segmentation and classification.From the analysis,the accuracy of the proposed IAP-CSA-based fuzzy was 41.9%improved than the fuzzy classifier,2.80%improved than PSO,WOA,and CSA,and 2.32%improved than GWO-based fuzzy classifiers.Additionally,the accuracy of the developed IAP-CSA-fuzzy was 9.54%better than NN,35.8%better than SVM,and 41.9%better than the existing fuzzy classifier.Hence,it is concluded that the implemented breast cancer detection model was efficient in determining the normal,benign and malignant images.Originality/value-This paper adopts the latest Improved Awareness Probability-based Crow Search Algorithm(IAP-CSA)-based Region growing and fuzzy classifier for enhancing the breast cancer detection of mammogram images,and this is the first work that utilizes this method.Rajeshwari S.Patil Nagashettappa Biradar 2020International Journal of Intelligent Computing and Cybernetics2020,13,2:0
14Competition between axial anomaly and ferromagnetic ordering in Bi_(2-x)Fe_(x)Se_(3-x)S_(x) topological insulator:A study of magnetic and magnetotransport properties显示文摘The topological insulators Bi_(2-x)Fe_(x)Se_(3-x)S_(x) have been investigated by the dc-magnetization,magnetotransport and angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy(ARPES)techniques.With doping of Fe and S,a negative giant magneto-resistance(MR)is observed for parallel electric and magnetic fields(H||E).The MR behavior at lower magnetic field can be explained with the semi-classical theory whereas the MR behavior at higher field has been attributed to the axial anomaly.Interestingly,the system reached to the quantum limit at low magnetic field(~4.5T).The magnetic ordering can be explained with the presence of both the RKKY(surface)and van-Vleck(bulk)interaction.The ARPES study reveals that a surface gap is suppressed when the magnetic ordering changes from ferromagnetic to anti-ferromagnetic ordering.The ARPES study and the appearance of quantum oscillations(SdH)in the resistivity pattern reveal that the topological surface property is preserved with the co-doping of Fe and S.Rahul Singh Shiv Kumar A.Jain Mahima Singh Labanya Ghosh A.Singh Soma Banik A.Lakhani S.Patil E.F.Schwier K.Shimada S.M.Yusuf Sandip Chatterjee 2022Journal of Materiomics2022,8,3:0
