| 1 | Association between TNF-a and IL-1β genotypes vs Helicobacter pylori infection in Indonesia显示文摘AIM:To investigate the correlation between the Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection and host genetic background of healthy populations in Indonesia.METHODS:In March 2007,epidemiological studies were undertaken on the general population of a city in Indonesia(Mataram,Lombok). The participants included 107 men and 187 women, whose ages ranged from6 to 74 years old, with an average age of 34.0(±14.4)(±SD).The H.pylori of subject by UBT method determination, and through the polymerase chain reaction with confronting two-pair primers(PCR-CTPP)method parsing the single nucleotide polymorphism of interleukin(IL)-8,IL-4,IL-1β,CD14,tumor necrosis factor(TNF-a)and tyrosine-protein phosphates non-receptor type 11(PTPN11)genotypes.The experimental data were analyzed by the statistical software SAS.RESULTS:The H.pylori infection rates in the healthy Indonesian population studied were 8.4%for men and12.8%for women;no obvious differences were noted for H.pylori infection rates by sex or age.TC genotypes of IL-4,TC and CC genotypes of TNF-a,and GA genotypes of PTPN11,were higher in frequency. Both CC and TC genotype of TNF-a T-1031C loci featured higher expressions in the healthy Indonesian population Indonesia studied of(OR=1.99;95%CI:0.67-5.89)and(OR=1.66;95%CI:0.73-3.76),respectively.C allele of IL-1βT-31C gene locus was at a higher risk(OR=1.11;95%CI:0.70-1.73)of H.pylori infection, but no statistical significance was found in our study.CONCLUSION:We reveal that the association between the TNF-a and IL-1βgenotypes may be the susceptibility of H.pylori in the studied population. | Yang Zhao Jing-Wen Wang Tsutomu Tanaka Akihiro Hosono Ryosuke Ando Shinkan Tokudome Soeripto FX Ediati Triningsih Tegu Triono Suwignyo Sumoharjo EY Wenny Astuti Achwan Stephanus Gunawan Yu-Min Li | 2013 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,46: | 5 |
| 2 | Development and application of traffic accident density estimation models using kernel density estimation显示文摘Traffic accident frequency has been decreasing in Japan in recent years.Nevertheless, many accidents still occur on residential roads.Area-wide traffic calming measures including Zone 30,which discourages traffic by setting a speed limit of 30 km/h in residential areas, have been implemented. However,no objective implementation method has been established.Development of a model for traffic accident density estimation explained by GIS data can enable the determination of dangerous areas objectively and easily, indicating where area-wide traffic calming can be implemented preferentially. This study examined the relations between traffic accidents and city characteristics, such as population, road factors, and spatial factors.A model was developed to estimate traffic accident density.Kernel density estimation(KDE) techniques were used to assess the relations efficiently.Besides,16 models were developed by combining accident locations, accident types, and data types.By using them, the applicability of traffic accident density estimation models was examined. Results obtained using Spearman rank correlation show high coefficients between the predicted number and the actual number. The model can indicate the relative accident risk in cities. Results of this study can be used for objective determination of areas where area-wide traffic calming can be implemented preferentially, even if sufficient traffic accident data are not available. | Seiji Hashimoto Syuji Yoshiki Ryoko Saeki Yasuhiro Mimura Ryosuke Ando Shutaro Nanba | 2016 | Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2016,3,3: | 3 |
| 3 | On the Effects of Central Japan Expressway’s Commuter Toll Discount Policy in Nagoya Area显示文摘Road pricing policies have two equally important objectives that have to be considered: the opti-mal use of the road network and the fiscal sustainability for the management of the network. The aim of this work is to examine the effects on these two objectives of a recent pricing policy implemented in Japan’s expressway networks. Recently the Nippon (Japan) Expressway Companies (NEXCO, operators of Japan’s nation wide expressway network) have implemented several toll discount policies for users equipped with electronic toll collectors (ETCs). One of the policies is the commuter discount policy that discounts 50% for a journey on the NEXCO expressway no longer than 100 km during the commuting peak hours. This paper examines its effect on congestion reduction in the road network of Nagoya area and its influence on the use of expressways operated by another major local public expressway company in Nagoya. The congestion easing effect of this policy is compared with a potential marginal cost pricing scheme. These observations suggest that policy coordination regarding toll levels is needed for expressway corporations and transportation authorities for improving transportation efficiency of utilization of the whole network. | 应江黔 Ryosuke Ando | 2007 | Tsinghua Science and Technology2007,12,2: | 2 |
| 4 | An analysis on possibility of intelligent speed adaptation in terms of drivers' consciousness显示文摘Intelligent speed adaptation(ISA) is considered as an effective measure to reduce number of traffic accidents in the field of intelligent transportation systems(ITS).On the other hand, its effects for traffic safety are still doubted by many people. To make the possibility analysis,an experiment is conducted by using driving simulator.Regarding ISA approaches, there are three modes:mandatory, voluntary and advisory.Among them, the advisory type seems to be the easiest one to introduce. Therefore,we focus on the advisory mode in this study by considering ISA just at the beginning stage in Japan. The experiment consists of four steps:without ISA,ISA using pictures,ISA using voices and again without ISA.The outputs obtained from the driving simulator are analyzed combined with the consciousness of the participants. The experiment shows that the ISA can improve recognition of speed limitation especially for people who have random rambling or looking aside tendency.Furthermore, the ISA especially when using voices can contribute in changing the consciousness of people who are aggressive in driving.Their driving speeds can reduce so that positive effects on traffic safety can be concluded. | Ryosuke Ando Yasuhiro Mimura | 2015 | Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2015,2,3: | 0 |
