1Entering a New Era of InSAR:Advanced Techniques and Emerging Applications显示文摘Interferometry Synthetic Aperture Radar(InSAR)provides unique capabilities to map regional/global topography and deformation of the Earth’s surface and has led to a broad spectrum of deformation monitoring applications.In order to adapt to various challenging monitoring environments,researchers have made tremendous innovations to deal with issues such as atmospheric and ionospheric effects,loss of coherence due to large displacements,geometric distortions and unwrapping errors.Owing to recent technical and methodological advances,the Earth’s surface deformation,ranging from earthquake ruptures,volcanic eruptions,landslides,glaciers,to groundwater storage variations,mining subsidence and infrastructure instability can now be mapped anywhere in the world at high spatial and temporal resolutions.This special issue received a set of contributions highlighting recent advances in methodologies and applications of InSAR to ground deformation monitoring.We aim to present overviews of both the state of the art of SAR/InSAR techniques and the next generation of applications across the broad range of deformation monitoring applications.Zhenhong LI Chen YU Ruya XIAO Wu ZHU 2022Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2022,5,1:8
2Photopatternable PEDOT:PSS/PEG hybrid thin film with moisture stability and sensitivity显示文摘Degradation and delamination resulting from environmental humidity have been technically challenging for poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate)(PEDOT:PSS)thin-film processing.To overcome this problem,we introduced a one-step photolithographic method to both pattern and link a PEDOT:PSS film onto a poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG)layer as a hybrid thin film structure on a flexible substrate.This film exhibited excellent long-term moisture stability(more than 10 days)and lithographic resolution(as low as 2μm).Mechanical characterizations were performed,including both stretching and bending tests,which illustrated the strong adhesion present between the PEDOT:PSS and PEG layers as well as between the hybrid thin film and substrate.Moreover,the hybrid moisture-absorbable film showed a quick response of its permittivity to environmental humidity variations,in which the patterned PEDOT:PSS layer served as an electrode and the PEG layer as a moisture-sensing element.Perspiration tracking over various parts of the body surface as well as breath rate measurement under the nose were successfully carried out as demonstrations,which illustrated the potential utility of this stable hybrid thin film for emerging flexible and wearable electronic applications.Zijie Zhu Gaomai Yang Ruya Li Tingrui Pan 2017Microsystems & Nanoengineering2017,3,1:1
3Degradation of amyloid β-peptides catalyzed by nattokinase in vivo and in vitro显示文摘Amyloid-β 1-42(Aβ42)plays a pivotal role in Alzheimer disease(AD)pathogenesis. Peripheral clearance of Aβ42 largely affects its level in the brain and affects AD progression. Although nattokinase(NK)degrades Aβ40, the details of NK's capture of various Aβ species and reduction of plasma Aβ42/Aβ40 are uncharacterized. In this study, the Aβ42/Aβ40-degrading ability of NK was investigated using five Aβs and AD model mice. The C-terminal region of Aβ42/Aβ40(Gly29 to Val40)was primarily required for NK capture, and the integrated conformation in Aβ42/Aβ40 aggregates was a more efficient target for NK catalysis. Further, suspended Aβ42/Aβ40 oligomers were more easily captured by NK than suspended Aβ42/Aβ40 fibrils, while deposited Aβ42/Aβ40 fibrils recruited more NK than deposited Aβ42/Aβ40 oligomers. Although most NK was likely lost during NK uptake and/or entry into the blood, a small fraction of NK showed good plasma Aβ42/Aβ40-degrading efficacy after entering the blood due to NK's stability in the plasma of AD mice for at least 9 days. It was concluded that oral administration of NK is a feasible approach for peripheral Aβ42/Aβ40 clearance. 4Circadian clock control of MRTF/SRF pathway suppresses beige adipocyte thermogenic recruitment显示文摘The morphological transformation of adipogenic progenitors into mature adipocytes requires dissolution of actin cytoskeleton with loss of myocardin-related transcription factor(MRTF)/serum response factor(SRF)activity.Circadian clock confers temporal control in adipogenic differentiation,while the actin cytoskeleton–MRTF/SRF signaling transduces extracellular physical niche cues.Here,we define a novel circadian transcriptional control involved in actin cytoskeleton–MRTF/SRF signaling cascade that modulates beige fat thermogenic function.Key components of actin dynamic–MRTF/SRF pathway display circadian regulation in beige fat depot.The core clock regulator,brain and muscle arnt-like 1(Bmal1),exerts direct transcriptional control of genes within the actin dynamic–MRTF/SRF cascade that impacts actin cytoskeleton organization and SRF activity.Employing beige fat-selective gene-targeting models together with pharmacological rescues,we further demonstrate that Bmal1 inhibits beige adipogenesis and thermogenic capacity in vivo via the MRTF/SRF pathway.Selective ablation of Bmal1 induces beigeing with improved glucose homeostasis,whereas its targeted overexpression attenuates thermogenic induction resulting in obesity.Collectively,our findings identify the clock–MRTF/SRF regulatory axis as an inhibitory mechanism of beige fat thermogenic recruitment with significant contribution to systemic metabolic homeostasis.Xuekai Xiong Weini Li Ruya Liu Pradip Saha Vijay Yechoor Ke Ma 2022Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2022,14,12:0
5Revealing the changes of bacterial community from water source to consumers tap:A full-scale investigation in eastern city of China显示文摘This study profiled the bacterial community variations of water from four water treatment systems,including coagulation,sedimentation,sand filtration,ozonation-biological activated carbon filtration(O3-BAC),disinfection,and the tap water after the distribution process in eastern China.The results showed that different water treatment processes affected the bacterial community structure in different ways.The traditional treatment processes,including coagulation,sedimentation and sand filtration,reduced the total bacterial count,while they had little effect on the bacterial community structure in the treated water(before disinfection).Compared to the traditional treatment process,O3-BAC reduced the relative abundance of Sphingomonas in the finished water.In addition,ozonation may play a role in reducing the relative abundance of Mycobacterium.NaClO and ClO2 had different effects on the bacterial community in the finished water.The relative abundance of some bacteria(e.g.Flavobacterium,Phreatobacter and Porphyrobacter)increased in the finished water after ClO2 disinfection.The relative abundance of Mycobacterium and Legionella,which have been widely reported as waterborne opportunistic pathogens,increased after NaClO disinfection.In addition,some microorganisms proliferated and grew in the distribution system,which could lead to turbidity increases in the tap water.Compared to those in the finished water,the relative abundance of Sphingomonas,Hyphomicrobium,Phreatobacter,Rheinheimera,Pseudomonas and Acinetobacter increased in the tap water disinfected with NaClO,while the relative abundance of Mycobacterium increased in the tap water disinfected with ClO2.Overall,this study provided the detailed variation in the bacterial community in the drinking water system.Xu Ma Guiwei Li Ruya Chen Ying Yu Hui Tao Guangming Zhang Baoyou Shi 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,1:0
