| 1 | Genotype × environmental interaction by AMMI and GGE biplot analysis for the provenances of Michelia chapensis in South China显示文摘A provenance trial of Michelia chapensis Dandy in the south of China was carried out in three sites to assess yield and stability analyses. The trials were conducted as randomized, complete block designs with four replications at each site. Additive main effects and multiplicative interaction(AMMI) and genotype main effect and genotype 9 environment interaction(GGE) were employed in the evaluation of provenances; AMMI analyses showed that significant genotype 9 environment interaction effects(P \ 0.05) existed between provenances, capturing 15.11 % of the total sum of squares. The AMMI stability value revealed that provenance 2 was stable, but had low yield. GGE-biplot models showed that provenances 7, 8, 10, and 11 were more stable and highyielding. | 2 | Sequence-related amplified polymorphism primer screening on Chinese fir(Cunninghamia lanceolata(Lamb.) Hook)显示文摘Chinese fir(Cunninghamia lanceolata(Lamb.)Hook) is one of the most important coniferous tree species used for timber production in China. Here, we conducted a sequence-related amplified polymorphism(SRAP) primer screening assay with a total of 594 primer combinations,using 22 forward and 27 reverse primers on four representative Chinese fir genotypes. The obtained results indicated that Chinese fir genomic DNA has a notable amplification bias on the employed forward or reverse primer nucleotides(30selection bases). Out of the tested primer sets, 35 primer combinations with clearly distinguished bands, stable amplification, and rich polymorphism were selected and identified as optimal primer sets. These optimal primer pairs gave a total of 379 scorable bands,including 265 polymorphic bands, with an average of 10.8bands and 7.6 polymorphic bands per primer combination.The produced band number for each optimal primer set ranged from 7 to 14 with a percentage of polymorphic bands spanning from 33.3 to 100.0 %. | 3 | Spatial differences in soybean bioactive components across China and their influence by weather factors显示文摘Bioactive components are partially responsible for the nutritional and health benefits of soybeans. Four major bioactive components: isoflavones, oligosaccharides, phospholipids,and saponins, were quantified in 763 soybean samples collected from widely distributed regions across China from 2010 to 2013. A majority of the tested bioactive components showed generally declining trends from the north(high latitude) to the south(low latitude).A positive relationship between total oligosaccharides(TO) and altitude was observed. Total isoflavones(TI), phospholipids(TP) and TO were negatively correlated with cumulative temperature above or equal to 15 °C(AT15) and mean daily temperature(MDT), but positively correlated with diurnal temperature range(DTR) and hours of sunshine(HS).Total saponins(TS) were negatively correlated with MDT but positively correlated with rainfall(RF), whereas TO were negatively correlated with RF. Path-coefficient analysis showed that, besides genotype differences, temperature and HS during the reproductive period influenced TI and TP contents, while temperature and RF influenced TS and TO. The effects of weather factors on soybean bioactive components in diverse regions of China were characterized. | 4 | Facile surface modification of mesoporous silica with heterocyclic silanes for efficiently removing arsenic显示文摘Arsenic being one of the most toxic heavy metals has long been a focus of concern due to its gravest threats to human health and environment. Herein, we employ a new method named ring-opening click reaction to synthesize thiol- and amino- bifunctionalized SBA-15 (denoted as bi-SBA-15) for directly remove As(Ⅲ) without preoxidation As(Ⅲ) to As(V) from contaminated water. Quite different from commonly modified with trialkoxysilanes, ring-opening click reaction is substantially faster (0.5–2 h at 25 ℃) and more efficient. The synthesized bi-SBA-15 exhibits excellent adsorption performance of As(Ⅲ) and As(V) in an aqueous solution with a great adsorption capacity (33.70 mg/g and 42.66 mg/g, respectively), a very short equilibrium time (<30 min), which is much faster than those of other adsorbents reported previously. | 7 | Recent Strengthening of the Regional Hadley Circulation over the Western Pacific during Boreal Spring显示文摘Previous studies suggested that there are large discrepancies in the intensity trend of the zonally averaged Hadley circulation (ZAHC) among different reanalyses. As the land, ocean, and topography are not evenly distributed, the ZAHC may mask the regional variability. Changes in the regional HC have important implications for regional climate change. Here, we detect the long-term trend of the boreal spring regional Hadley circulation intensity over the western Pacific (WPHC) since 1979 in both hemispheres using six reanalysis datasets. Unlike the ZAHC, we find that the trend of the spring WPHC intensity is consistent among various reanalysis datasets. All reanalyses show pronounced strengthening trends for the WPHC in both the Northern and Southern Hemisphere, which may be partly attributable to the robust warming trends of sea surface temperature in the tropical western Pacific.
