Tension and Thickness Control Strategy Analysis of Two Stands Reversible Cold Rolling Mill显示文摘In order to lucubrate the rolling characteristic of the two stands reversible cold rolling mill and establish the tension and thickness control strategy, the steady-state characteristic simulating program was established using the steady-state continuous rolling theory. The influences of each factor on exit thickness under different tension control methods were analyzed. The results show that, the influence of the entry stand gap on exit thickness is significant and it changes little with different tension control methods. As a result, the entry stand gap can be used as the main control method of exit thickness, whereas rolling speed of any stand and roll gap of the exit stand can be used to adjust the inter-stand tension. The results are beneficial for thickness and tension control of the two stands reversible cold rolling mill.LIU Guang-ming1, DI Hong-shuang2, ZHOU Cun-long1, LI Hong-cui3, LIU Jiang3 (1. 3Multi-Point Forming Technology for Sheet Metal显示文摘Multi-point forming (MPF) is an advanced manufacturing technology for three-dimensional sheet metal parts. In this paper, the MPF integrated system is described that can form a variety of part shapes without the need for solid dies, and given only geometry and material information about the desired part. The central component of this system is a pair of matrices of punches, and the desired discrete die surface is constructed by changing the positions of punches though the CAD and control system. The basic MPF process is introduced and the typical application examples show the applicability of the MPF technology. Wrinkle and dimple are the major forming defects in MPF process, numerical simulation is a feasible way to predict forming defects in MPF. In conventional stamping, the mode to form sheet metal with blankholder is an effective way to suppress wrinkling; the same is true in MPF. A MPF press with flexible blankholder was developed, and the forming results indicated the forming stability of this technique. Based on the flexibility of MPF, varying deformation path MPF and sectional MPF were explored that cannot be realized in conventional stamping. By controlling each punch in real-time, a sheet part can be manufactured along a specific forming path. When the path of deformation in MPF is designed properly, forming defects will be avoided completely and lager deformation is achieved. A work piece can be formed section by section though the sectional MPF, and this technique makes it possible to manufacture large size parts in a small MPF press. Some critical experiments were performed that confirmed the validity of two special MPF techniques.LI Ming-zhe, CAI Zhong-yi, SUI Zhen, YAN Qing-guang (Roll Forging Institute, Jilin University of Technology, Changchun 130025, China) 2002厦门大学学报(自然科学版)2002,41,S1:10
A Novel Method for Flatness Pattern Recognition via Least Squares Support Vector Regression显示文摘To adapt to the new requirement of the developing flatness control theory and technology, cubic patterns were introduced on the basis of the traditional linear, quadratic and quartic flatness basic patterns. Linear, quadratic, cubic and quartic Legendre orthogonal polynomials were adopted to express the flatness basic patterns. In order to overcome the defects live in the existent recognition methods based on fuzzy, neural network and support vector regression (SVR) theory, a novel flatness pattern recognition method based on least squares support vector regression (LS-SVR) was proposed. On this basis, for the purpose of determining the hyper-parameters of LS-SVR effectively and enhancing the recognition accuracy and generalization performance of the model, particle swarm optimization algorithm with leave-one-out (LOO) error as fitness function was adopted. To overcome the disadvantage of high computational complexity of naive cross-validation algorithm, a novel fast cross-validation algorithm was introduced to calculate the LOO error of LS-SVR. Results of experiments on flatness data calculated by theory and a 900HC cold-rolling mill practically measured flatness signals demonstrate that the proposed approach can distinguish the types and define the magnitudes of the flatness defects effectively with high accuracy, high speed and strong generalization ability.ZHANG Xiu-ling, ZHANG Shao-yu, TAN Guang-zhong, ZHAO Wen-bao (Key Laboratory of Industrial Computer Control Engineering of Hebei Province, National Engineering Research Center for Equipment and Technology of Cold Strip Rolling, Yanshan University, Qinhuangdao 066004, Hebei, China) 2012Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2012,19,3:9
Differential changes in intrinsic innervation and interstitial cells of Cajal in small bowel atresia in newborns显示文摘AIM: To investigate morphological changes of the enteric nervous system (ENS) and the interstitial cells of Cajal (ICCs) in small bowel atresia.METHODS: Resected small bowel specimens from affected patients (n = 7) were divided into three parts (proximal, atretic, distal). Standard histology and enzyme immunohistochemistry anti-S100, anti-protein gene product (PGP) 9.5, anti-neurofilament (NF), antic-kit-receptor (CD117) was carried out on conventional paraffin sections of the proximal and distal part. RESULTS: The neuronal and glial markers (PGP 9.5, NF, S-100) were expressed in hypertrophied ganglia and nerve fibres within the myenteric and submucosal plexuses. Furthermore, the submucous plexus contained typical giant ganglia. The innervation pattern of the proximal bowel resembled intestinal neuronal dysplasia. The density of myenteric ICCs was clearly reduced in the proximal bowel, whereas a moderate number of muscular ICCs were found. The anti-CD117 immunore- action revealed additional numerous mast cells. The distal bowel demonstrated normal morphology and density of the ENS, the ICCs and the mast cells.CONCLUSION: The proximal and distal bowel in small bowel atresia revealed clear changes in morphology and density of the ENS and ICCs.Stefan Gfroerer Roman Metzger Henning Fiegel Priya Ramachandran Udo Rolle 2010World Journal of Gastroenterology2010,16,45:9
Mechanical Property and Microstructural Characterization of C-Mn-Al-Si Hot Dip Galvanizing TRIP Steel显示文摘Mechanical properties and microstructure in high strength hot dip galvanizing TRIP steel were investigated by optical microscope (OM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), dilatometry and mechanical testing. On the heat treatment process of different intercritical annealing (IA) temperatures, isothermal bainitic transformation (IBT) temperatures and IBT time, this steel shows excellent mechanical properties with tensile strength over 780 MPa and elongation more than 22%. IBT time is a crucial factor in determining the mechanical properties as it confirms the bainite transformation process, as well as the microstructure of the steel. The microstructure of the hot dip galvanizing TRIP steel consisted of ferrite, bainite, retained austenite and martensite during the short IBT time. The contents of ferrite, bainite, retained austenite and martensite with different IBT time were calculated. The results showed that when IBT time increased from 20 to 60 s, the volume of bainite increased from 14.31% to 16.95% and the volume of retained austenite increased from 13.64% to 16.28%; meanwhile, the volume of martensite decreased from 7.18% to 1.89%. Both the transformation induced plasticity of retained austenite and the hardening of martensite are effective, especially, the latter plays a dominant role in the steel containing 7.18% martensite which shows similar strength characteristics as dual-phase steel, but a better elongation. When martensite volume decreases to 1.89%, the steel shows typical mechanical properties of TRIP, as so small amount of martensite has no obvious effect on the mechanical properties.JIANG Hai-tao1, DING Wei1,2, TANG Di1, HUANG Wei1 (1. 7A study on centrifugal casting of high speed steel roll显示文摘High speed steel (HSS) rolls can replace traditional rolls such as alloyed cast iron rolls and powder metallurgical (PM) hard alloy rolls. The main reasons for the replacement are that the wear resistance of low-cost alloyed cast iron rolls is poor and the cost of high-quality PM hard alloy rolls is very high. By means of centrifugal casting, HSS rolls having excellent wear resistance have been manufactured. The hardness of the HSS roll is 6.5~67 HRC, the range of variation is smaller than 2 HRC and its impact toughness is 15 J/cm2. The wear rate of HSS rolls used in the pre-finishing stands of high-speed hot wire-rod rolling mill reaches 2.5×10-4mm per ton steel. Furthermore, the manufacturing cost of HSS rolls is significantly lower than that of PM hard alloy rolls; it is only 30 percent of that of PM hard alloy rolls.~*H. G. Fu~1, X.H. Zhang~2(1. 8Optimization of Pass Schedule in Hot Strip Rolling显示文摘Rolling schedule not only determines the rolling process to be going smoothly, but also affects the shape accuracy and structure properties of finished strip. In order to gain good strip crown and flatness, the calculation formulas of the most suitable rolling force and bending force are deduced. By taking relatively equal load of rolling power and good shape as objective functions, the optimization mathematical models of finish rolling schedule are established. By contrast, the rolling schedules after optimization can improve the rolling mill working status and ensure the strip crown and flatness to be good. At the same time, the setting value of bending force is improved and this leaves more space for on-line shape control.QI Xiang-dong, WANG Tao, XIAO Hong (National Engineering Research Center for Equipment and Technology of Cold Strip Rolling, Yanshan University, Qinhuangdao 066004, Hebei, China) 2012Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2012,19,8:5
Complications of newborn enterostomies显示文摘AIM To evaluate the occurrence and severity of enterostomy complications in newborns suffering from different intestinal disorders.METHODS A 10-year retrospective cohort study(2008-2017) investigated newborns that underwent enterostomy formation and reversal for different intestinal disorders. Only infants less than 28 d old at the time of enterostomy creation were included in the study(corrected age was applied in the cases of preterm neonates). The patients were divided into two groups according to their underlying diseases. Group 1 included infants suffering from necrotizing enterocolitis(NEC), whereas Group 2 included newborns diagnosed with intestinal disorders other than NEC, such as meconium obstruction, anorectal malformation, focal intestinal perforation, ileus, intestinal atresia and volvulus. The primary outcome measure was enterostomy-related morbidity. The data were analyzed statistically using Pearson's χ2 test or Fisher's exact test for categorical variables and the Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney U-Test for continuous variables. RESULTS In total, 76 infants met the inclusion criteria and were evaluated for enterostomy-related complications. Neither group showed significant differences regarding gender, gestational age, weight at birth or weight at enterostomy formation. Infants suffering from NEC(Group 1) were significantly older at enterostomy for-mation than the neonates of Group 2 [median(range), 11(2-75) d vs 4(1-101) d, P = 0.004)]. Significantly more ileostomies were created in Group 1 [47(92.2%) vs 16(64.0%), P = 0.007], whereas colostomies were performed significantly more often in Group 2 [2(3.9%) vs 8(32.0%), P = 0.002]. The initiation of enteral nutrition after enterostomy was significantly later in Group 1 infants than in Group 2 infants [median(range), 5(3-13) vs 3(1-9), P < 0.001]. The overall rate of one or more complications in patients of both groups after enterostomy formation was 80.3%, with rates of 86.3% in Group 1 and 68.0% in Group 2(P = 0.073). Most patients suffered from two complications(23.7%). Four or more complications occurred in 21.6% of the infants in Group 1 and in 12.0% of the infants in Group 2(P = 0.365). Following enterostomy closure, at least one complication was observed in 26.0% of the patients(30.6% in Group 1 and 16.7% in Group 2, P = 0.321). The occurrence of complications was not significantly different between neonates with NEC and infants with other intestinal disorders. 48(65.8%) patients required no treatment or only pharmacological treatment for the complications that occurred [Clavien-Dindo-Classification(CDC) < Ⅲ], while 25(34.2%) required surgery to address the complications(CDC ≥Ⅲ). Early reversal of the enterostomy was performed significantly more often(P = 0.003) and the time to full enteral nutrition after closure was significantly longer [median(range), 7(3-87) d vs 12(5-93) d, P = 0.006] in infants with a CDC grading ≥Ⅲ than in infants with a CDC grading < Ⅲ. CONCLUSION Complications occur in almost all infants with enterostomies. The majority of these complications are minor and do not require surgical treatment. There is a clear trend that neonates with NEC have a higher risk for developing complications than those without NEC.Lea Wolf Stefan Gfroerer Henning Fiegel Udo Rolle 2018World Journal of Clinical Cases2018,6,16:5
Mechanized Tunneling in Soft Soils: Choice of Excavation Mode and Application of Soil-Conditioning Additives in Glacial Deposits显示文摘高山区地层历史受冰川活动影响,冰川活动对该区域地下工程的影响很大。 Roll Zumsteg Lars Langmaack 2017Engineering2017,3,6:5
SIMULATION OF THE TWIN ROLL STAINLESS STRIP CASTING PROCESS显示文摘The position of the solidification completed temperature of twin roll stainless strip casting process is very important to the quality of the casting strip. In order to control this position, the .solidification completed temperature should be known at first. The present paper first. simulated dendritic microsegregation under conditions of twin roll stainless strip casting, and got the relationship between the temperature and solid fraction of the mush zone. The temperatures such as ZDT (equal to the solidifica- tion completed temperature and LIT (liquid impenetrable temperature), et al., also were obtained. Then by using the turbulent model, the flow and thermal fields of the pool of the twin roll stainless strip casting, and the speed and temperature fields oj different casting speeds were given cud also explained. The results are coincident with the experimental result. Combined with the results of these two simulations, the appropriated casting speed was found.Y.C. Miao, X.M. Zhang, G.D. Wang, H.S. 12Partial Inverse Grain Size Dependence of Strength in High Mn Steels Microalloyed With Nb显示文摘Two steels without and with Nb addition were chosen to investigate the effects of Nb on the microstructures and the mechanical properties of Fe-Mn-Al-Si steels. The results revealed that Nb refined the grains markedly and both TRIP and TWIP effects occurred during deformation process. The Nb containing steel possesses higher yield strength and much lower tensile strength , the latter being explained by the suppression of TRIP effect due to the increase of stacking fault energy. This indicates grain refining is secondary for strengthening of steels when TRIP or TWIP effect exists during the deformation of low carbon and high Mn steels.DING Hua 1 , 2 , LI Hua-ying 1 , DING Hao 1 , QIU Chun-lin 2 , TANG Zheng-you 1 ( 1.School of Materials and Metallurgy , Northeastern University , Shenyang 110819 , Liaoning , China 2.State Key Lab of Rolling and Automation , Northeastern University , Shenyang 110819 , Liaoning , China ) 2012Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2012,19,9:4
INFLUENCE OF COLD ROLLING TECHNOLOGY ON TEXTURE EVOLUTION OF IF STEEL显示文摘Two kinds of cold rolling experiments, single cold rolling and double cold rolling, were carried out on one titanium stabilized interstitial free (IF) steel that has been warm rolled at ferrite temperature. The main aim was to investigate the evolution of rolling and annealing textures from the well known behavior observed under single cold rolling condition to the less understood double cold rolling by using orientation distribution function (ODF). In the twice cold rolled samples, the annealing texture comprises only single {111}(110-112) r-fibre texture when it subjected to moderate reduction in the first round of rolling. Accordingly both the once cold rolled sample and the twice cold rolled sample with heavy reduction in the first round of rolling have much complex texture components. They are related to the formation of initial {111} subgrain and the priority growth of stable {111} nucleus.J.X. Li, X.H. Liu and G.D. 14Flatness and Profile Integration Control Model for Tandem Cold Mills显示文摘Using the effective matrix methods of flatness and profile control synthetically, the flatness and profile integration control scheme for tandem cold mills is built in order to increase flatness and profile control precision of tandem cold mills. Corresponding control strategies are adopted for various control objectives of different stands and the coordination control strategies of various stands are given, which makes the on-line flatness control cooperate with on-line profile control and implements the parallel control of different stands. According to the measured flatness and profile data of some 1550 mm tandem cold mills, the control scheme is verified and the result indicates that the scheme has high flatness and profile control precision with steady and reliable control process. A new way and method is supplied for researching shape control of tandem cold mills.SHAN Xiu-ying1,2,3, LIU Hong-min1,2, JIA Chun-yu1,2, SUN Jian-liang1,2 (1. 16Online application of automatic surface quality inspection system to finishing line of cold rolled strips显示文摘An autonatic surface quality inspection system installed on a finishing line of cold rolled strips is introduced. The system is able to detect surface defects on cold rolled strips, such as scratches, coil breaks, rusts, roll imprints, and so on. Multiple CCD area scan canteras were equipped to capture images of strip surface simultaneously. Defects were detected through 'Dark-field illumination' which is generated by LED illuminators. Parallel computation technique and fast processing algorithms were developed for real-time data processing. The application to the production line shows that the system is able to detect defects effectively.Hao Sun, Ke Xu, and Jinwu XuNational Engineering Research Center of Advanced Rolling, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing 100083, China 2003Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2003,10,4:3
Effect of Heating Rate Before Tempering on Reversed Austenite in Fe-9Ni-C Alloy显示文摘The alloy was reheated to 580℃ for tempering at rates of 2 , 5 , 10 , 20 , and 40℃ / s , respectively , after quenching. The amount , distribution , and stability of reversed austenite were investigated by X-ray diffraction ( XRD ) and electron back scatter diffraction ( EBSD ) .The microstructure and cryogenic impact energy were studied by scanning electron microscope ( SEM ), transmission electron microscope ( TEM ) and Charpy V-notch ( CVN ) tests. The results showed that when the sample was heated at 10℃ / s , the volume fraction of reversed austenite exhibited maximum of 8% ; the reversed austenite was uniform along all kinds of boundaries ; the reversed austenite contained higher concentration of carbon which enabled it to be more stable. The cryogenic toughness of the alloy was greatly improved when heated at 10℃ / s , as the fracture surface observation showed that it mainly fractured in ductile rupture mode , which was consistent with the results of cryogenic impact energy.ZHANG Kun , TANG Di , WU Hui-bin ( National Engineering Research Center of Advanced Rolling , University of Science and Technology Beijing , Beijing 100083 , China ) 2012Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2012,19,9:3

Deformation and recrystallization behavior of a Fe-20Mn-3Si-3Al-0.045C steel under cold-rolling显示文摘The influence of cold rolling reduction on microstructure and mechanical properties of the twinning induced plasticity(TWIP) steel with a chemical composition of Fe-20Mn-3Si-3Al-0.045 C has been investigated.Tensile tests were carried out to explore the mechanical properties of TWIP steel with different cold rolling reductions. The microstructures were observed by optical microscopy and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).The misorientation and the development of recrystallization texture in TWIP steel sheets were investigated by Electron Back Scatter Diffraction(EBSD) technique. The results indicated that the steel exhibited attractively mechanical properties when cold rolling reduction was about 10%.The tensile strength of the steel with a rolling reduction of 10%is higher than 900 MPa and the yield strength is about 800 MPa,while the elongation is above 35%.The microstructure is composed of austenitic matrix and deformation twins at room temperature,at the same time,a significant amount of deformation twins, stacking faults and dislocations are observed by TEM.TEM observations showed the presence of deformation twinning in the sample at low rolling reduction. As the strain increases the volume fraction of twins increases.Mechanical twins play a dominant role during deformation and result in excellent mechanical properties for the investigated steel.By TEM observation, the possible deformation mechanisms can be suggested as:with the increasing strain, formation of the twin will gradually play a more important role during deformation. The interaction between twins and dislocations enhances the strain hardening rate in the sample.Consequently, the necking is delayed and a good ductility is obtained.Twins were always observed in the region with high density of dislocation and faults, suggesting that the interaction among blocked dislocations and faults as well as deformation twins promote the increase in material strength.EBSD observation showed that the textures has evolved according to the following trend:the brass orientation {110}〈112〉and Goss orientation {110}〈001〉are dominant at every strain level, those intensities increase with increasing strain, while with the increase of the strain level, the change of S orientation {123}〈634〉was not obviously.SHEN Yongfeng~(1)),HUANG Shaoshuai~(1)),ZHANG Rongxing~(1)),XUE Wenying~(2)) and HE Tong~(3)) 1) Key Laboratory for Anisotropy and Texture of Materials(Ministry of Education), Northeastern University,Shenyang 110004,Liaoning,China 2) The State Key Lab of Rolling & Automation,Northeastern University,Shenyang 110004, Liaoning,China 3) Institute of Research,Northeastern University,Shenyang 110004,Liaoning,China 2010Baosteel Technical Research2010,4,S1:2
Effect of Ti-enriched Carbonitride on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of X80 Pipeline Steel显示文摘In this study, two API X80 pipeline steels were fabricated by varying Ti additions, and their microstructures and fracture characteristics were analyzed to investigate the effects of Ti-enriched carbonitride on the tensile properties and Charpy impact properties.Lathy bainite,a mass of matensite/austenite(M/A),coarse cubic Ti-enriched inclusions,chain-typed Ti-enriched precipitations, weak toughness and high tensile strength were found as consequences of higher amount of Ti content. Those large scale and chain-typed Ti-enriched carbonitrides are one kind of crack sources during fracture. The negative effect of higher amount of Ti on the impact properties is increased with decreased temperature.Wei Deng,Xiuhua Gao,Dewen Zhao,Linxiu Du,Di Wu and Guodong Wang State key laboratory of rolling and automation,Northeastern University,Shenyang 110819,China 2010Journal of Materials Science & Technology2010,26,9:2
