| 1 | Spreading and Wetting Behaviour of Trisiloxanes显示文摘Wetting and spreading processes which involve surfactant solutions are widely used in numerous industrial and practicalapplications nowadays.The performance of different non-ionic surfactants may vary significantly and so far superspreadersolutions show the most promising spreading ability.The addition of trisiloxane surfactants to water was proven to enhancewetting,even on hydrophobic surfaces,on which conventional surfactants seem to have little or no effect.Although theseextraordinary surfactants have been extensively studied over recent years,complete understanding of their underlying mechanismsand a suitable mathematical model are still lacking.Here we present a possible explanation for the impressive performanceof trisiloxane,which is compared to wetting enhancement of a conventional surfactant.Additionally,we will explain whythe hydrophobicity of the surface is a crucial factor for the spreading phenomenon.Light will be also shed on the effect of the pHof the solution to which surfactants are added.Finally,we will investigate long-term effects of the water environment on trisiloxanewetting ability and discuss if ageing may significantly affect their performance. | Jovana Radulovic Khellil Sefiane Martin E.R.Shanahan | 2009 | Journal of Bionic Engineering2009，6，4： | 14 |

| 9 | Investigation of low grade thermal energy storage systems with phase changing materials显示文摘The use of phase changing materials(PCMs)for energy storage has been in the focus of scientific research for a while,primarily focusing on building cooling/heating applications due to favourable melting temperature ranges.In this paper we simulated the suitability of encapsulated Paraffin Wax on a small scale in a low temperature thermal energy storage system using COMSOL Multiphysics.Heat absorption and heating dynamics were analysed for different inlet designs and velocities,and the thermal gradient was evaluated across the tank geometry in a number of charging scenarios.Results show that paraffin wax proves to be a good storage medium based on its fast charging and good latent heat absorption.The study found that although an addition of a second inlet to the system yields higher final temperatures and improves the heat transfer rate,it does so minimally and therefore is not notably beneficial.Both designs follow the same heating dynamics independently on the final temperatures.Lastly,higher or lower velocities benefit the system based on the design. | Law Torres Sevilla Jovana Radulovic | 2021 | Energy and Built Environment2021，2，4： | 1 |

| 14 | Double common bile duct: A case report显示文摘Double common bile duct (DCBD) is a rare congenital anomaly in which two common bile ducts exist. One usually has normal drainage into the papilla duodeni major and the other usually named accessory common bile duct (ACBD) opens in different parts of upper gastrointestinal tract (stomach, duodenum, ductus pancreaticus or septum). This anomaly is of great importance since it is often associated with biliary lithiasis, choledochal cyst, anomalous pancreaticobiliary junction (APBJ) and upper gastrointestinal tract malignancies. We recently recognized a rare case of DCBD associated with APBJ with lithiasis in better developed common bile duct. The opening site of ACBD was in the pancreatic duct. The anomaly was suspected by transabdominal ultrasonography and finally confirmed by endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) followed by endoscopic sphincterotomy and stone extraction. According to the literature, the existence of DCBD with the opening of ACBD in the pancreatic duct is most frequently associated with APBJ and gallbladder carcinoma. In case of DCBD, the opening site of ACBD is of greatest clinical importance because of its close implications with concomitant pathology.
