| 2 | Effects of freeze-drying and spray drying processes on functional properties of phosphorylation of egg white protein显示文摘Egg white protein(EWP)was phosphorylated with Sodium Tripolyphosphate(STP)at pH 4.5.Freeze drying and spray drying were used for drying purpose and the effects of these drying methods on the functional properties were investigated.The functional properties of native and modified proteins were also determined.The results demonstrated that phosphorylation of EWP markedly improved its functional properties,and that it was more effective for the food industry.The freeze-dried STP-EWP powders were superior in terms of solubility,emulsion stability,water holding capacity,oil and water absorption capacity and heat gel strength than spray-dried STP-EWP powders.The results in viscosity showed no significant differences between freeze-dried and spray dried.The spray-dried powders were better in terms of foaming ability and foam stability than freeze-dried powders.However,the spray drying required the longest time to produce.Freeze drying was found to be the best method in terms of production of modified EWP powders with superior functional properties. | Liu Lili Wang Huan Ren Guangyue Duan Xu Li Dan Yin Guangjun | 2015 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,4: | 6 |
| 3 | A Collision Arbitration Protocol Based on Specific Selection Function显示文摘Fast and effective identifications of a large number of items are required in many Radio-frequency identification(RFID) applications. Simultaneous responses from multiple tags are corrupted by collisions and thus result in low identification efficiency. To address the problem of low identification efficiency, many existing tag anticollision algorithms try to schedule the identification process to avoid collisions. A novel anti-collision scheme based on specific selection function is presented, in which tags pick a slot according to a selection function instead of being randomly assigned to slots within a frame. If collision occurs, the reader sends the custom command SETBM according to the collision information. When probed by the SETBM, the tags apply the selection function to its partial ID and send the mapped result to the reader. According to the mapped result, the reader assigns the time slot to the tags. All tags collided in the same slot will be identified by the tree traversal scheme. | 5 | A conserved unusual posttranscriptional processing mediated by short,direct repeated (SDR) sequences in plants显示文摘In several stress responsive gene loci of monocot cereal crops,we have previously identified an unusual posttranscriptional processing mediated by paired presence of short direct repeated (SDR) sequences at 5' and 3' splicing junctions that are distinct from conventional (U2/U12-type) splicing boundaries.By using the known SDR-containing sequences as probes,24 plant candidate genes involved in diverse functional pathways from both monocots and dicots that potentially possess SDR-mediated posttranscriptional processing were predicted in the GenBank database.The SDRs-mediated posttranscriptional processing events including cis-and trans-actions were experimentally detected in majority of the predicted candidates.Extensive sequence analysis demonstrates several types of SDR-associated splicing peculiarities including partial exon deletion,exon fragment repetition,exon fragment scrambling and trans-splicing that result in either loss of partial exon or unusual exonic sequence rearrangements within or between RNA molecules.In addition,we show that the paired presence of SDR is necessary but not sufficient in SDR-mediated splicing in transient expression and stable transformation systems.We also show prokaryote is incapable of SDR-mediated premRNA splicing. | Xiangli Niu Di Luo Shaopei Gao Guangjun Ren Lijuan Chang Yuke Zhou Xiaoli Luo Yuxiang Li Pei Hou Wei Tang Bao-Rong Lu Yongsheng Liu | 2010 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2010,37,1: | 0 |
