1Role of liver transplantation in the management of hepatoblastoma in the pediatric population显示文摘Hepatoblastoma(HB) is the most common primary liver tumor in children and accounts for two-thirds of all malignant liver neoplasms in the pediatric population. For patients with advanced HB(unresectable or unresponsive to chemotherapy), combined treatment with chemotherapy and liver transplantation is an excellent option. The etiology of HB is mostly obscure because of its extreme rarity although some inherited syndromes and very low birth weight have been associated with it. The prognosis for children with HB has significantly improved in the past three decades thanks to advancements in chemotherapy, surgical resection and postoperative care. In 2002 a surgical staging system called pretreatment extent of disease(PRETEXT) was designed to allow a universal, multidisciplinary approach to patients with HB. Between one-third to two-thirds of patients initially present with unresectable tumors or distant metastases, but up to 85% of these tumors become operable after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Patients with PRETEXT categories 1, 2, and some 3 are referred for neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by surgical resection with the goal of complete tumor removal. Classic treatments regimens include a combination of cisplatin, fluorouracil, and vincristine or cisplatin and doxorubicin. Liver transplantation is the only treatment option for unresectable HB. In 2010 the pediatric end-stage liver disease, a pediatric-specific scoring system that determines a patient's ranking on the liver transplant list, began to award additional 'exception' points for patients with HB. We analyzed the Standard Transplant Analysis and Research dataset to assess the impact of changes in exception point criteria for HB on outcomes after liver transplantation at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas. 3Breath tests and irritable bowel syndrome显示文摘Breath tests are non-invasive tests and can detect H2and CH4 gases which are produced by bacterial fermentation of unabsorbed intestinal carbohydrate and are excreted in the breath.These tests are used in the diagnosis of carbohydrate malabsorption,small intestinal bacterial overgrowth,and for measuring the orocecal transit time.Malabsorption of carbohydrates is a key trigger of irritable bowel syndrome(IBS)-type symptoms such as diarrhea and/or constipation,bloating,excess flatulence,headaches and lack of energy.Abdominal bloating is a common nonspecific symptom which can negatively impact quality of life.It may reflect dietary imbalance,such as excess fiber intake,or may be a manifestation of IBS.However,bloating may also represent small intestinal bacterial overgrowth.Patients with persistent symptoms of abdominal bloating and distension despite dietary interventions should be referred for H2 breath testing to determine the presence or absence of bacterial overgrowth.If bacterial overgrowth is identified,patients are typically treated with antibiotics.Evaluation of IBS generally includes testing of other disorders that cause similar symptoms.Carbohydrate malabsorption(lactose,fructose,sorbitol)can cause abdominal fullness,bloating,nausea,abdominal pain,flatulence,and diarrhea,which are similar to the symptoms of IBS.However,it is unclear if these digestive disorders contribute to or cause the symptoms of IBS.Research studies show that a proper diagnosis and effective dietary intervention significantly reduces the severity and frequency of gastrointestinal symptoms in IBS.Thus,diagnosis of malabsorption of these carbohydrates in IBS using a breath test is very important to guide the clinician in the proper treatment of IBS patients.Satya Vati Rana Aastha Malik 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,24:12
4Geomicrobial functional groups:A window on the interaction between life and environments显示文摘Microbes are well-known for their great diversity and abundance in modern natural environments.They also are believed to pro-vide critical links among higher organisms and their associated environments.However,the low diversity of morphological fea-tures and structures of ancient microbes preserved in sediments and rocks make them difficult to identify and classify.This diffi-culty greatly hinders the investigation of geomicrobes throughout Earth history.Thus,most previous paleontological studies have focused on faunal and floral fossils.Here,geomicrobial functional groups(GFGs),or a collection of microbes featured in specific ecological,physiological or biogeochemical functions,are suggested to provide a way to overcome the difficulties of ancient mi-crobe investigations.GFGs are known for their great diversity in ecological,physiological and biogeochemical functions.In addi-tion,GFGs may be preserved as the biogeochemical,mineralogical and sedimentological records in sediments and rocks.We reviewed the functions,origins and identification diagnostics of some important GFGs involved in the elemental cycles of carbon,sulfur,nitrogen and iron.GFGs were further discussed with respect to their significant impacts on paleoclimate,sulfur chemistry of ancient seawater,nutritional status of geological environments,and the deposition of Precambrian banded iron formations.XIE ShuCheng YANG Huan LUO GenMing HUANG XianYu LIU Deng WANG YongBiao GONG YiMing XU Rana 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,1:11
5Biodiversity,current developments and potential biotechnological applications of phosphorus-solubilizing and-mobilizing microbes:A review显示文摘As one of the most important and essential macronutrients next to nitrogen,phosphorus(P)is important for plant development,but it is the least mobile nutrient element in plant and soil.Globally,P is mined from geological sediments and added to agricultural soils so as to meet the critical requirements of crop plants for agronomic productivity.Phosphorus exists in soil in both organic and inorganic forms.The various inorganic forms of the element in soil are salts with calcium,iron,and aluminum,whereas the organic forms come from decaying vegetation and microbial residue.There is a huge diversity of plant microbiomes(epiphytic,endophytic,and rhizospheric)and soil microbiomes that have the capability to solubilize the insoluble P and make it available to plant.The main mechanism for the solubilization of inorganic P is by the production of organic acids,which lowers soil pH,or by the production of acid and alkaline phosphatases,which causes the mineralization of organic P.The P-solubilizing and-mobilizing microorganisms belong to all three domains,comprising archaea,bacteria,and eukarya.The strains belonging to the genera Arthrobacter,Bacillus,Burkholderia,Natrinema,Pseudomonas,Rhizobium,and Serratia have been reported as efficient and potential P solubilizers.The use of P solubilizers,alone or in combination with other plant growth-promoting microbes as an eco-friendly microbial consortium,could increase the P uptake of crops,increasing their yields for agricultural and environmental sustainability.Divjot KOUR Kusam Lata RANA Tanvir KAUR Neelam YADAV Ajar Nath YADAV Manish KUMAR Vinod KUMAR Harcharan Singh DHALIWAL Anil Kumar SAXENA 2021Pedosphere2021,31,1:10
61H-MRS观察帕金森病患者延髓及黑质代谢显示文摘目的采用1H-MRS分析帕金森病(PD)患者延髓及患侧黑质中主要代谢物的改变及其与临床病情的关系。方法 选取PD患者17例(PD组),正常对照17名(正常对照组)。采用Philips1.5T磁共振成像系统单体素1H-MRS技术,选取延髓及患侧黑质作为感兴趣区进行MRS扫描,获取N-乙酰天门冬氨酸(NAA)、胆碱(Cho)、肌酸(Cr)峰下面积,计算NAA/Cr、Cho/Cr比值。结果 PD组延髓和患侧黑质与正常对照组比较,NAA/Cr、Cho/Cr比值差异均无统计学意义。PD患者延髓NAA/Cr、Cho/Cr比值与临床指标未发现显著相关性。PD患者患侧黑质NAA/Cr比值与UPDRS评分(r=-0.686,P=0.007)及UPDRS运动评分(r=-0.724,P=0.004)显著负相关;Cho/Cr比值与UPDRS评分(r=-0.770,P=0.002)及UPDRS运动评分(r=-0.843,P<0.001)呈显著负相关。患侧黑质处NAA/Cr、Cho/Cr与H&Y分级呈显著负相关(r=-0.697、-0.715,P=0.012、0.009)。结论 采用1H-MRS检测延髓及患侧黑质NAA、Cho尚不能作为诊断PD的手段。检测患侧黑质代谢物改变能够反映患PD者病情进展情况。麻少辉 张明 Netra RANA 康蓓 刘丽华 屈秋民 2011中国医学影像技术2011,27,1:9
7The role of chemosensory protein 10 in the detection of behaviorally active compounds in brown planthopper, Nilaparvata lugens显示文摘Chemosensory proteins(CSPs)play important roles in insects’chemoreception,although their specific functional roles have not been fully elucidated.In this study,we conducted the developmental expression patterns and competitive binding assay as well as knock‐down assay by RNA interference both in vitro and in vivo to reveal the function of NlugCSP10 from the brown planthopper(BPH),Nilaparvata lugens(Stål),a major pest in rice plants.The results showed that NlugCSP10 messenger RNA was significantly higher in males than in females and correlated to gender,development and wing forms.The fluorescence binding assays revealed that NlugCSP10 exhibited the highest binding affinity with cis‐3‐hexenyl acetate,eicosane,and(+)‐β‐pinene.Behavioral assay revealed that eicosane displayed attractant activity,while cis‐3‐hexenyl acetate,similar to(+)‐β‐pinene significantly repelled N.lugens adults.Silencing of NlugCSP10,which is responsible for cis‐3‐hexenyl acetate binding,significantly disrupted cis‐3‐hexenyl acetate communication.Overall,findings of the present study showed that NlugCSP10 could selectively interrelate with numerous volatiles emitted from host plants and these ligands could be designated to develop slow‐release mediators that attract/repel N.lugens and subsequently improve the exploration of plans to control this insect pest.Muhammad Irfan Waris Aneela Younas Muhammad Muzammal Adeel Shuang-Gang Duan Sundas Rana Quershi Rana Muhammad Kaleem Ullah Man-Qun Wang 2020Insect Science2020,27,3:9
8基于目标像素变化的柚果单目测距算法显示文摘针对山地果园光线变化和枝叶遮挡干扰果实距离检测的问题,该研究提出一种利用目标区域像素数量变化预测成像距离的算法。根据单目测距原理和柚果成像特性,以具备尺寸和形状代表性的离树柚果样本为研究对象,在采摘作业距离范围内利用单一相机以固定间隔步距对果实某一侧面连续获取图像数据,用以建立并验证目标区域像素数量变化与成像距离变化之间的多元回归关系。随后将该算法应用于果园中树上柚果样本以检验其适用性,并讨论初始成像距离和步距取值对测距精度的影响。研究结果表明,在125cm以内,6个树上柚果样本的测距相对误差均低于5%,满足采摘机械手目标定位的精度要求;初始成像距离对该算法测距精度具有显著影响。该研究单目测距算法满足果园环境中柚果目标与相机间距离检测需求,为相关采摘机械手的柚果目标识别提供了一种可行方案。刘洁 周典卓 李燕 李定科 李英琪 Rubel Rana 2021农业工程学报2021,37,19:9
9Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus disease is rare in children: An update from Saudi Arabia显示文摘AIM To summarize the reported Middle East respiratory syndrome-coronavirus(MERS-Co V) cases, the associated clinical presentations and the outcomes. METHODS We searched the Saudi Ministry of Health website, the World Health Organization website, and the Flutracker website. We also searched MEDLINE and Pub Med for the keywords: Middle East respiratory syndromecoronavirus, MERS-Co V in combination with pediatric, children, childhood, infancy and pregnancy from the initial discovery of the virus in 2012 to 2016. The retrieved articles were also read to further find other articles. Relevant data were placed into an excel sheet and analyzed accordingly. Descriptive analytic statistics were used in the final analysis as deemed necessary.RESULTS From June 2012 to April 19, 2016, there were a total of 31 pediatric MERS-Co V cases. Of these cases 13(42%) were asymptomatic and the male to female ratio was 1.7:1. The mean age of patients was 9.8 ± 5.4 years. Twenty-five(80.6%) of the cases were reported from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The most common source of infection was household contact(10 of 15 with reported source) and 5 patients acquired infection within a health care facility. Using real time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction of pediatric patients revealed that 9 out of 552(1.6%) was positive in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. CONCLUSION Utilizing serology for MERS-CoV infection in Jordan andSaudi Arabia did not reveal any positive patients. 10Functional properties, phenolic constituents and antioxidant potential of industrial apple pomace for utilization as active food ingredient显示文摘Apple pomace is a waste biomass generated after apple fruit processing.In present investigation,efforts were made to comprehend influence of differently dried pomace on cell wall properties and phenolic profile.Different drying techniques were employed to remove moisture content from fresh apple pomace.Total dietary fiber yield(74%)and array of functional properties such as density,water and oil holding capacity,swelling capacity and glucose dialysis retardation index(36.91%)was found better in freeze dried fraction.The higher total phenolics(5.78±0.08 mg GAE/g dry weight)content was also recorded in freeze dried fraction followed by oven and sun drying.The 50%aqueous acetone was found as more efficient solvent for extraction of phenolic constituents.RP-HPLC analysis has revealed presence of quercetin,phloridzin and phloretin as major phenolics.Thus,it is evident from the results that pomace generated at industrial scale can be utilized as a source of dietary food ingredient.Shalika Ranaa Sakshi Gupta Ajay Rana Shashi Bhushan 2015Food Science and Human Wellness2015,4,4:8

12Choroidal thickness measurements with optical coherence tomography in branch retinal vein occlusion显示文摘AIM: To evaluate central macular thickness(CMT) and mean choroidal thickness(MCT) in eyes with branch retinal vein occlusion(BRVO), before and after ranibizumab treatment using spectral domain-optical coherence tomography(SD-OCT).·METHODS: Forty-two patients with unilateral BRVO and macular edema were included in this study. There were 25 men and 17 women. Using SD-OCT, choroidal thickness was measured at 500 μm intervals up to 1500μm temporal and nasal to the fovea. MCT was calculated based on the average of the 7 locations. All the eyes with BRVO were treated with intravitreal ranibizumab(0.5 mg/0.05 m L). Comparisons between the BRVO and fellow eyes were analyzed using Mann-Whitney U test. Preinjection and post-injection measurements were analyzed using Wilcoxon test and repeated measure analysis.· RESULTS: At baseline, there was a significant difference between the BRVO and fellow eyes in MCT[BRVO eyes 245(165-330) μm, fellow eyes 229(157-327) μm]and CMT [BRVO eyes 463(266-899) μm, fellow eyes 235(148-378) μm(P =0.041, 0.0001, respectively)]. Following treatment, CMT [295(141-558) μm] and MCT [229(157-329) μm] decreased significantly compared to the baseline measurements(P =0.001, 0.006, respectively).Also BCVA(log MAR) improved significantly(P=0.0001) in the BRVO eyes following treatment. 133mL和5mL利多卡因眼球筋膜囊下麻醉在超声乳化手术中的比较研究(英文)显示文摘目的:分析比较3mL和5mL利多卡因眼球筋膜囊下麻醉对白内障超声乳化手术中眼压,镇痛效果和眼外肌失运动能力的作用效果。眼球筋膜囊下麻醉是白内障超声乳化术中常用的局麻方式。作为一种剂量依赖型的阻滞方式,良好的眼压、镇痛效果以及眼外肌失运动是手术成功需要考虑的重要因素。方法:在获得伦理批准和患者的知情同意后,随机纳入70例患者作为研究对象,分别给予3m L利多卡因(组一)和5m L利多卡因(组二)作眼球筋膜囊下麻醉。麻醉前测量眼压,麻醉后10min评估眼压,镇痛效果和眼外肌失运动能力,并记录球结膜水肿和结膜下出血等并发症。结果:在麻醉管理期间,由于两名患者要求镇静,故从本研究中排除。比较组内及组间患者在麻醉前、后的基本特征,如年龄、体质量、身高、眼轴长度以及ASA生理状态,均无明显差异。与组一相比,组二患者眼外肌失运动能力及镇痛效果均明显较好。组二中有13例患者(38.2%)可达到眼球完全不运动,而组一没有患者可达到该程度。组一中有18例患者(56.3%)术中完全无痛觉,14例患者(43.7%)存在轻微痛觉,组二中有28例患者(82.4%)无痛觉,6例患者(17.6%)术中有轻微痛觉。此外,两组患者在麻醉前与麻醉后10min,其眼压的变化均无统计学差异(P<0.05)。两组患者并发症发生情况无明显差异。结论:3m L利多卡因和5m L利多卡因作眼球筋膜囊下麻醉对眼压均无影响,但在白内障超声乳化手术中给予5m L利多卡因作麻醉,在镇痛及眼外肌失运动能方面效果更好。Muge Coban-Karatas Oya Yalcin Cok Rana Altan-Yaycioglu 2015国际眼科杂志2015,15,11:6
14Effects of different periods of renal ischemia on liver as a remote organ显示文摘AIM:To assess the hepatic changes after induction of different periods of renal ischemia. METHODS:Rats were subjected to either sham operation or ischemia (30,45 and 60 min) followed by 60 min reperfusion. Liver and renal functional indices were measured. Hepatic glutathione (GSH) and ferric reducing antioxidant power levels and the concentration of interleukin (IL)-10 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α) were evaluated. Portions of liver and kidney tissues were fixed for histological evaluation. RESULTS:Forty-five minutes renal ischemia followed by 60 min reperfusion caused significant changes in liver structure and a significant reduction in renalfunction. These rats showed a significant decrease in liver GSH,as well as a significant increase in TNF-α and IL-10 concentrations. These results demonstrated that renal ischemia caused changes in liver histology,function,oxidative stress and inflammatory status,which led to a reduction in hepatic antioxidant capacity. 15Highly efficient and selective photocatalytic dehydrogenation of benzyl alcohol for simultaneous hydrogen and benzaldehyde production over Ni-decorated Zn_(0.5)Cd_(0.5)S solid solution显示文摘Photocatalytic conversion of solar energy into hydrogen and high value-added fine chemicals has attracted increasing attention. Herein, we demonstrate an efficient photocatalytic system for simultaneous hydrogen evolution and benzaldehyde production by dehydrogenation of benzyl alcohol over Nidecorated Zn_(0.5)Cd_(0.5)S solid solution under visible light. The photocatalytic system shows an excellent hydrogen production rate of 666.3 μmol h^(-1) with high stability. The optimal apparent quantum yield of52.5% is obtained at 420 nm. This noble-metal-free photocatalytic system displays much higher activity than pure Zn_(0.5)Cd_(0.5)S and Pt-loaded Zn_(0.5)Cd_(0.5)S solid solution. 16Predicting the impact of climate change on the distribution of two threatened Himalayan medicinal plants of Liliaceae in Nepal显示文摘Predicting the potential distribution of medicinal plants in response to climate change is essential for their conservation and management. Contributing to the management program, this study aimed to predict the distribution of two threatened medicinal plants, Fritillaria cirrhosa and Lilium nepalense. The location of focal species gathered from herbarium specimen housed in different herbaria and online databases were geo-referenced and checked for spatial autocorrelation. The predictive environmental variables were selected, and MaxE nt software was used to model the current and future distributions of focal species. Four Representative Concentration Pathway(RCP) trajectories of the BCC-CSM1.1 model were used as the future(2050) projection layer. The MaxEnt modelling delineated the potential distribution of F. cirrhosa and L. nepalense. The current suitability is projected towards Central and Eastern Hilly/Mountainous regions. Both species gainmaximum suitability in RCP 4.5 which decline towards other trajectories for L. nepalense. Overall, both the focal species shift towards the north-west, losing their potential habitat in hilly and lower mountainous regions by 2050 across all trajectories. Our results highlight the impact of future climate change on two threatened and valuable species. 17Analysis on Technical Efficiency of Rice Farms and Its Influencing Factors in South-western of Niger显示文摘The present study focused on analyzing the technical efficiency of rice farms in southwest of Niger. The data from January to March 2015 survey of 148 ms in three districts of south-western of Niger were analyzed by using DEA-Tobit two-step method. In the first step, data envelopment analysis(DEA) was applied to estimate technical, pure technical and scale efficiency. In the second step, Tobit regression was used to identify factors affecting technical efficiency. The results showed that rice producers in southwest of Niger could reduce their inputs by 52% and still produce the same level of rice output. 18Anti-endothelial cell antibody rich sera from rheumatic heart disease patients induces proinflammatory phenotype and methylation alteration in endothelial cells显示文摘Rheumatic heart disease(RHD)is a major cause of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in developing nations like India.RHD commonly affects the mitral valve which is lined by a single layer of endothelial cells(ECs).The role of ECs in mitral valve damage during RHD is not well elucidated.In here,anti-endothelial cell antibody from RHD patients has been used to stimulate the ECs(HUVECs and HMVECs).ECs proinflammatory phenotype with increased expression of TNFa,IL-6,IL-8,IFNg,IL-1b,ICAM1,VCAM1,E-selectin,laminin B,and vimentin was documented in both ECs.The promoter hypomethylation of various key inflammatory cytokines(TNFa,IL-6,and IL-8),integrin(ICAM1)associated with leukocyte transendothelial migration,and extracellular matrix genes(vimentin,and laminin)were also observed.Further,the in-vitro data was in accordance with ex-vivo observations which correlated significantly with the etiological factors such as smoking,socioeconomic status,and housing.Thus,the study sheds light on the role of ECs in RHD which is a step forward in the elucidation of disease pathogenesis.Mukul Rastogi Subendu Sarkar Ankita Makol Rana Sandip Singh Uma Nahar Saikia Dibyajyoti Banerjee Seema Chopra Anuradha Chakraborti 2018Genes & Diseases2018,5,3:5
19下肢黏液性脂肪肉瘤的MRI表现(附1例报告及文献复习)显示文摘目的 探讨下肢黏液性脂肪肉瘤的MRI表现特点及鉴别诊断.方法 分析1例男性17岁患者经手术及病理证实的下肢黏液性脂肪肉瘤患者的MRI表现并就文献回顾.结果 肿瘤位于左大腿内侧深部肌肉间隙内,呈边界清楚的椭圆形,大小约12 cm×9 cm×4 cm.T1WI肿块与周围肌肉软组织相比呈不均匀性等信号,其间夹杂有云絮状略高及略低信号,包块周边可见细带状等信号包膜;T2WI呈较明显的高信号强度伴有少许等信号影, 细带状包膜呈较低信号强度;脂肪抑制扫描包块信号强度未见抑制.结论 下肢黏液性脂肪肉瘤较少见,MRI表现具有一定的影像学特点,有利于其术前诊断及鉴别诊断.李海燕 麻少辉 Rana Netra 张明 2010实用放射学杂志2010,26,5:5
20Detailed investigation of optimized alkali catalyzed transesterification of Jatropha oil for biodiesel production显示文摘The non-edible oils are believed to be one of the major feedstock for the production of biodiesel in future.In the present study,we investigated the production of Jatropha oil methyl esters(JOMEs) via alkali-catalyzed transesterification route.The biophysical characteristics of Jatropha oil were found within the optimal range in accordance with ASTM standards as a substitute diesel fuel.The chemical composition and production yield of as-synthesized biodiesel were confirmed by various analytical techniques such as FT-IR,1H NMR,13 C NMR and gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry.A high percentage conversion,~96.09%,of fatty acids into esters was achieved under optimized transesterification conditions with 6 :1 oil to methanol ratio and 0.9 wt% Na OH for 50 min at ~60°C.Moreover,twelve fatty acids methyl esters(FAME) were quantified in the GC/MS analysis and it was interesting to note that the mass fragmentation pattern of saturated,monounsaturated and diunsaturated FAME was comparable with the literature reported values.Waqas Ahmed Muhammad Faizan Nazar Syed Danish Ali Usman Ali Rana Salah Ud-Din Khan 2015Journal of Energy Chemistry2015,24,3:5
