1A gist of gastrointestinal stromal tumors: A review显示文摘Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) have been recognized as a biologically distinctive tumor type, different from smooth muscle and neural tumors of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT). They constitute the majority of gastrointestinal mesenchymal tumors of the GIT and are known to be refractory to conventional chemotherapy or radiation. They are defined and diagnosed by the expression of a proto-oncogene protein detected by immunohistochemistry which serves as a crucial diagnostic and therapeutic target. The identification of these mutations has resulted in a better understanding of their oncogenic mechanisms. The remarkable antitumor effects of the molecular inhibitor imatinib have necessitated accurate diagnosis of GIST and their distinction from other gastrointestinal mes-enchymal tumors. Both traditional and minimally invasive surgery are used to remove these tumors with minimal morbidity and excellent perioperative outcomes. The revolutionary use of specific, molecularlytargeted therapies, such as imatinib mesylate, reduces the frequency of disease recurrence when used as an adjuvant following complete resection. Neoadjuvant treatment with these agents appears to stabilize disease in the majority of patients and may reduce the extent of surgical resection required for subsequent complete tumor removal. The important interplay between the molecular genetics of GIST and responses to targeted therapeutics serves as a model for the study of targeted therapies in other solid tumors. 2华北地区不同规模畜禽养殖场粪便中抗生素抗性基因污染特征显示文摘为调查华北地区畜禽养殖环境抗生素抗性基因(ARGs)污染特征及影响因素,采集河北省和天津市不同规模的养猪场和养鸡场新鲜粪便样品,分析粪便中ARGs污染水平及有机质与ARGs含量的相关性。实时荧光定量PCR结果显示,不同种类畜禽养殖场粪便ARGs的相对丰度有显著区别,鸡粪中sul和erm基因的相对丰度高于猪粪,而编码核糖体保护蛋白的tet基因(4.24×10^-3~5.85×10^-1)在猪粪和鸡粪中的相对丰度无明显差异,均显著高于sul(1.07×10^-4~2.26×10^-1)、erm(6.36×10^-4~2.62×10^-1)以及编码外派泵蛋白和酶抑制剂的tet基因(1.24×10^-4~5.41×10^-2)。不同规模的养猪场粪便ARGs污染水平趋势为:中型>大型>小型,而不同规模养鸡场粪便中ARGs相对丰度无显著性差异(P=0.551);此外,正交偏最小二乘判别(OPLS-DA)与典型相关分析(CCA)结果显示,畜禽粪便中编码核糖体保护蛋白的tet基因(tetM、tetO和tetW)相对丰度与有机碳(OC)和有机氮(ON)含量高度相关(VIP>1),sul基因则与OC/ON明显相关。综上,粪便中有机质和生物可利用碳氮比是影响畜禽养殖业ARGs污染水平的重要因素。邹威 金彩霞 魏闪 Ramasamy Rajesh Kumar 周启星 2020农业环境科学学报2020,39,11:17

4Fast and interpretable classification of small X-ray diffraction datasets using data augmentation and deep neural networks显示文摘X-ray diffraction(XRD)data acquisition and analysis is among the most time-consuming steps in the development cycle of novel thin-film materials.We propose a machine learning-enabled approach to predict crystallographic dimensionality and space group from a limited number of thin-film XRD patterns.We overcome the scarce data problem intrinsic to novel materials development by coupling a supervised machine learning approach with a model-agnostic,physics-informed data augmentation strategy using simulated data from the Inorganic Crystal Structure Database(ICSD)and experimental data.As a test case,115 thin-film metalhalides spanning three dimensionalities and seven space groups are synthesized and classified.After testing various algorithms,we develop and implement an all convolutional neural network,with cross-validated accuracies for dimensionality and space group classification of 93 and 89%,respectively.We propose average class activation maps,computed from a global average pooling layer,to allow high model interpretability by human experimentalists,elucidating the root causes of misclassification.Finally,we systematically evaluate the maximum XRD pattern step size(data acquisition rate)before loss of predictive accuracy occurs,and determine it to be 0.16°2θ,which enables an XRD pattern to be obtained and classified in 5.5 min or less.Felipe Oviedo Zekun Ren Shijing Sun Charles Settens Zhe Liu Noor Titan Putri Hartono Savitha Ramasamy Brian L.DeCost Siyu I.P.Tian Giuseppe Romano Aaron Gilad Kusne Tonio Buonassisi 2019npj Computational Materials2019,,1:15

8Enhanced recovery after surgery protocol enhances early postoperative recovery after pancreaticoduodenectomy显示文摘Background: Enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS) protocol is a multimodal, multidisciplinary and evidence-based approach to reduce surgical stress and enhance recovery in the postoperative period. This study aimed to analyze the outcome of ERAS protocol in patients after pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD). Methods: A total of 50 consecutive patients with pancreatic/periampullary cancer who underwent PD between January 2016 to August 2017 were included in the study. As per the institute ERAS protocol, nasogastric tube(NGT) was removed on postoperative day(POD) 1 if output was less than 200 mL and oral sips were allowed; oral liquids were allowed on POD2; semisolid diet by POD3; abdominal drain was removed on POD 4 if output was less than 100 mL with no evidence of postoperative pancreatic fistula(POPF); normal diet was allowed on POD5. Discharge criteria on POD6 were afebrile, tolerating oral normal diet, pain free and no surgery related complications(defined as per the ISGPS definitions). Results: NGT was removed on POD1 in 45(90%) patients, abdominal drain removed by POD4 in 41(82%) and 43(86%) patients were discharged on POD6. There was no 30-day postoperative mortality. Three(6%) patients had delayed gastric emptying(DGE). None had postoperative hemorrhage and POPF. Readmission rate was 8%. A significant relation was found between the length of hospital stay(LOS) with age( P < 0.05) and a marginal relation between LOS and postoperative albumin( P = 0.05). Conclusions: ERAS protocol can be safely followed in the perioperative care of patients who undergo PD. Early removal of NGT and allowing oral diet restore bowel function early. 9Effective and Efficient Feature Selection for Large-scale Data Using Bayes' Theorem显示文摘This paper proposes one method of feature selection by using Bayes theorem. The purpose of the proposed method is to reduce the computational complexity and increase the classification accuracy of the selected feature subsets. The dependence between two attributes (binary) is determined based on the probabilities of their joint values that contribute to positive and negative classification decisions. If opposing sets of attribute values do not lead to opposing classification decisions (zero probability), then the two attributes are considered independent of each other, otherwise dependent, and one of them can be removed and thus the number of attributes is reduced. The process must be repeated on all combinations of attributes. The paper also evaluates the approach by comparing it with existing feature selection algorithms over 8 datasets from University of California, Irvine (UCI) machine learning databases. METHODS: MSC were generated from human placenta tissue by enzymatic digestion and mechanical dissociation. The placenta MSC (PLC-MSC) were characterized for expression of cell surface markers, embryonic stem cell (ECS) gene expression and their differentiation ability into adipocytes and osteocytes. The immunosuppressive properties of PLC-MSC on resting and phytohemagglutinin (PHA) stimulated allogenic T cells were assessed by means of cell proliferation via incorporation of tritium thymidine (3H-TdR). RESULTS: The generated PLC-MSC appeared as spindle-shaped cells, expressed common MSC surface markers and ESC transcriptional factors. They also differen-tiated into adipogenic and osteogenic lineages when induced. However, continuous cultivation up to passage 15 caused changes in morphological appearance and cellular senescence, although the stem cell nature of their protein expression was unchanged. In terms of their immunosuppressive properties, PLC-MSC were unable to stimulate resting T cell proliferation; they inhibited the PHA stimulated T cells in a dose dependent manner through cell to cell contact. In our study, MSC generated from human placenta exhibited similar mesenchymal cell surface markers; MSC-like gene expression pattern and MSC-like differentiation potential were comparable to other sources of MSC. 19Evaluation of antipyretic activity of ethyl acetate extract of Adenema hyssopifolium G.Don in a rat model显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the effect of ethyl acetate extract of Adenema hyssopifolium(AHEAE) on normal body temperature and brewer’s yeast-induced pyrexia rats.Methods:Preliminary phytochemical tests,acute toxicity tests and antipyretic evaluation were carried out in ethyl acetate extract of Adenoma hyssopifolium,.Two doses of the extract(300 or 600 mg/kg orally) and standard antipyretic agent,paracetamol at a dose of 150 mg/kg were administered to various group of the rats.Mean rectal temperature before and after treatment was noted.Results:The phytochemical analysis of AHEAE revealed the presence of flavonoid and iridoid glycosides as major phytoconstituents.The administration of AHEAE at a dose of 300 or 600 mg/kg produced significant reduction(P<0.001 and P<0.01) of the body temperature in normal and pyrexia rats on a dose dependent manner.The antipyretic influence of AHEAE was comparable to that of standard antipyretic agent,paracetamol(150 mg/kg),and onset of action and reduction in pyrexia towards normal body temperature was delayed when compared to paracetamol treatment.At dose of 600 mg/kg,AHEAE reduced pyrexia to normal body temperature at 4 h after its administration compared to reduction of pyrexia to normal body temperature at 2 h by standard drug.The reduction of fever was consistent in paracetamol group from 2 to 4 h after its administration to normal body temperature compared to AHEAE treatments.Conclusions:Our present results corroborate with the traditional notion of Adenema hyssopifolium G.DON that is being used as an effective cure of fever and add authenticity to claim of indigenous healers that the taxon is a potential antipyretic agent.Aiyalu Rajasekaran Ramasamy Arivukkarasu Shanmugasundaram Murugesh 2010Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2010,3,7:3
