| 1 | Influence of plant architecture on maize physiology and yield in the Heilonggang River valley显示文摘The size and distribution of leaf area determine light interception in a crop canopy and influence overall photosynthesis and yield. Optimized plant architecture renders modern maize hybrids(Zea mays L.) more productive, owing to their tolerance of high plant densities. To determine physiological and yield response to maize plant architecture, a field experiment was conducted in 2010 and 2011. With the modern maize hybrid ZD958, three plant architectures, namely triangle, diamond and original plants, were included at two plant densities, 60,000 and 90,000 plants ha-1. Triangle and diamond plants were derived from the original plant by spraying the chemical regulator Jindele(active ingredients,ethephon, and cycocel) at different vegetative stages. To assess the effects of plant architecture, a light interception model was developed. Plant height, ear height, leaf size,and leaf orientation of the two regulated plant architectures were significantly reduced or altered compared with those of the original plants. On average across both plant densities and years, the original plants showed higher yield than the triangle and diamond plants,probably because of larger leaf area. The two-year mean grain yield of the original and diamond plants were almost the same at 90,000 plants ha-1(8714 vs. 8798 kg ha-1). The yield increase(up to 5%) of the diamonds plant at high plant densities was a result of increased kernel number per ear, which was likely a consequence of improved plant architecture in the top and middle canopy layers. The optimized light distribution within the canopy can delay leaf senescence, especially for triangle plants. The fraction of incident radiation simulated by the interception model successfully reflected plant architecture traits. Integration of canopy openness is expected to increase the simulation accuracy of the present model. | 7 | Investigation of lateral spreading current in the 4H-SiC Schottky barrier diode chip显示文摘Lateral current spreading in the 4H-SiC Schottky barrier diode(SBD)chip is investigated.The 4H-SiC SBD chips with the same vertical parameters are simulated and fabricated.The results indicate that there is a fixed spreading resistance at on-state in current spreading region for a specific chip.The linear specific spreading resistance at the on-state is calculated to be 8.6Ω/cm in the fabricated chips.The proportion of the lateral spreading current in total forward current(Psp)is related to anode voltage and the chip area.Psp is increased with the increase in the anode voltage during initial on-state and then tends to a stable value.The stable values of Psp of the two fabricated chips are 32%and 54%.Combined with theoretical analysis,the proportion of the terminal region and scribing trench in a whole chip(Ksp)is also calculated and compared with Psp.The Ksp values of the two fabricated chips are calculated to be 31.94%and 57.75%.The values of Ksp and Psp are close with each other in a specific chip.The calculated Ksp can be used to predict that when the chip area of SiC SBD becomes larger than 0.5 cm2,the value of Psp would be lower than 10%. | Xi Wang Yiwen Zhong Hongbin Pu Jichao Hu Xianfeng Feng Guowen Yang | 2021 | Journal of Semiconductors2021,42,11: | 1 |

| 10 | Improving endotracheal tube tolerance with intracufflidocaine: a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials显示文摘Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy in alleviating the endotracheal tube related discomfort and the safetyof intracufflidocaine(in different forms) with air and/or normal saline(NS) during general anesthesia with tracheal intubation.Methods: Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, PubMed and Embase were searched for relevant studies. Thirteen randomized, controlled trials involving 1 010 patients were ultimately identified. A meta-analysis of all randomized controlled trials fulfilling the predefined criteria was performed. Random-effect model and subgroup studies were used when significant heterogeneity existed among those trials. Results: Compared with air and NS, intracufflidocaine could significantly alleviate the severity of sore throat at different time points(15min, 30min, 1h, 2h, 3h, 6h, 12h and 24h after extubation) and the occurrence of cough, restlessness,postoperative nausea and vomiting, dysphonia and hoarseness. Besides intracufflidocaine brought about a significant prolongation of spontaneous ventilation time. It was worth mentioning that, compared withlidocaine or its hydrochloride form, alkalinized lidocainewas much more efficient in reducing the severity of sore throat and prolonging spontaneous ventilation time. | 11 | Effects of Buffer Layer on Hetero-Epi-Growth of SiCGe on 6H-SiC显示文摘Growth of SiCGe ternary alloy on 6H-SiC in a conventional hot-wall CVD system was initially studied. SiH4, GeH4 and C3H8 were employed as silicon, germanium and carbon source, respectively, while H2 was employed as the carrier gas. To reduce the heavy lattice mismatch between the film and the substrate, a 3C-SiC buffer layer was inserted between them in a CVD process. Optimizing the growth conditions was discussed. The samples were measured by means of SEM, SAXRD (Small Angle X-Ray Diffraction).
