The control of syndepositional faulting on the Eogene sedimentary basin fills of the Dongying and Zhanhua sags, Bohai Bay Basin显示文摘The Dongying and Zhanhua sags are the major hydrocarbon exploration and produc- tion subbasins in the Bohai Bay Basin. Integrated analysis of the sedimentary basin fills has shown that the syndepositional faults and their arrangement styles exerted an important influ- ence on the development and distribution of the Eogene depositional systems. The sedimentary filling evolution of the subbasins reflects the general control of the episodic rifting process. The major long-term active normal faults formed a series of paleogeomorphic accident or slopebreak zones that commonly delineated the subsidiary palaeostructural units and the depositional facies tracts and constrained the general distribution of sedimentary facies zones. The central sag boundary fault slopebreak zones usually determined the distribution of the depocenters of ter- restrial clastic depositional systems, particularly the lowstand fans or deltaic depositional sys- tems, and have proven to be the economically important targets for the exploration of subtle sandstone reservoirs. A variety of syndepositional fault arrangement patterns, including the par- allel, en echelon, combo-like, broom-like fault systems and the fault overlap or transfer zones, have been recognized in the subbasins. They generated distinctive geomorphic features and exerted a direct influence on sediment dispersal and sandbody distribution during the Eogene synrift stage. It is the key for the prediction of depositional systems tracts and reservoir sand- stones to investigate the activity and distribution of the fault slopebreak zones and reconstruct the structural paleogeomorphy in different basin filling stages of the basin evolution.LIN Changsong1, ZHENG Herong2, REN Jianye1, LIU Jingyan1 & Qiu Yigang1 1. 3Dissimilatory Fe(Ⅲ) reduction characteristics of paddy soil extract cultures treated with glucose or fatty acids显示文摘Dissimilatory Fe(Ⅲ) reduction is a universal process with irreplaceable biological and environmental importance in anoxic environments. Our knowledge about Fe(Ⅲ) reduction predominantly comes from pure cultures of dissimilatory Fe(Ⅲ) reducing bacteria (DFRB). The objective of this study was to compare the effects of glucose and a selection of short organic acids (citrate, succinate, pyruvate, propionate, acetate, and formate) on Fe(Ⅲ) reduction via the anaerobic culture of three paddy soil solutions with Fe(OH)3 as the sole electron acceptor. The results showed significant differences in Fe(Ⅲ) reduction among the three paddy soil solutions and substrate types. Bacteria from the Sichuan paddy soil responded quickly to substrate supply and showed higher Fe(Ⅲ) reducing activity than the other two soil types. Bacteria in the Jiangxi paddy soil culture solution could not use propionate as a source of electrons for Fe(Ⅲ) reduction. Similarly, bacteria in the Jilin paddy soil culture could not use succinate effectively. Pyruvate was readily used by cultures from all three paddy soil solutions, thus indicating that there were some similarities in substrate utilization by bacteria for Fe(Ⅲ) reduction. The use of glucose and citrate as substrate for dissimilatory Fe(Ⅲ) reduction indicates important ecological implications for this type of anoxic respiration.HE Jiangzhou1,2, QU Dong1, 1. 5The biomass and aboveground net primary productivity of Schima superba-Castanopsis carlesii forests in east China显示文摘The biomass and productivity of Schima superba-Castanopsis carlesii forests in Tiantong,Zhejiang Province, were determined using overlapping quadrants and stem analyses. The total community biomass was(225.3±30.1) t hm-2,of which the aboveground parts accounted for 72.0% and the underground parts accounted for 28.0%.About 87.2% of biomass existed in the tree layer. The resprouting biomass was small,of which over 95.0% occurred in the shrub layer. The productivity of the aboveground parts of the community was(386.8±98.9) g m-2a-1,in which more than 96.0% was present at the tree level. The trunk's contribution to productivity was the greatest, while that of leaves was the smallest. In China, the community biomass of subtropical evergreen broadleaved forests differs significantly with the age of the forest. The community biomass of the 52-year-old S.superba-C.carlesii forests in this study was lower than the average biomass of subtropical evergreen broadleaved forests in China, and was lower than the biomass of other subtropical evergreen broadleaved forests elsewhere in the world. Moreover, its productivity was lower than the model estimate, indicating that without disturbance, this community has great developmental potential in terms of community biomass and productivity.YANG TongHui1,2,SONG Kun1,DA LiangJun1*,LI XiuPeng3 & WU JianPing1 1School of Resources and Environment Science,East China Normal University,Shanghai 200062,China 2Ningbo Academy of Agricultural Science,Ningbo 315040,China 3Ningbo Technology Extension Center for Forestry and Specialty Forest Products,Ningbo 315012,China 2010Science China(Life Sciences)2010,53,7:23
The formation mechanism of high-quality dolomite reservoir in the deep of Puguang Gas Field显示文摘The discovery of Puguang Gas Field provides the exploration of China deep marine carbonate rock with important references. In Puguang Gas Field, the dolomite reservoirs discovered in the deep are the best in the present of China, which present big thickness and wide-range distribution, and develop abundant secondary porosity. The researches show that Puguang Gas Field bears the characteristics of early gas-filling time, deep burial, high matured organic matter and long-term interaction of hydrocarbon(oil and gas)-water-rock(carbonate reservoir). The developments of secondary pores in this area are affected by multiple diagenesis and their formation mechanisms are complicated.Through the research on depositional environment, sedimentary facies and reservoir porosity characters of Changxing and Feixianguan Formations,it is thought that high-quality dolomite reservoirs of Puguang Gas Field form on the favorable sedimentary facies belts, which are the integrate result affected by several factors including superficial corrosion, burial corrosion, overpressure and tectonic movement, among which burial corrosion of TSR to reservoir and overpressure formed by thermal evolution of organic matter have great effect on the formation of secondary porosity of Changxing and Feixianguan Formations.MA YongSheng 1 ,GUO TongLou 1 ,ZHAO XueFeng 2 &CAI XunYu 1 1 Southern Exploration&Production Company,Sinopec,Kunming 650200,China 2 China University of Mining and Technology,Beijing 100083,China 2008Science China Earth Sciences2008,51,S1:19
Seismic multi-arch structures in East China显示文摘In previous papers (Wencai, 2002, 2003), the author has analyzed the deep seismic reflection profiles along some of the Mesozoic plutons in East China, and has pointed out that the crustal structures around these intrusions usually correlate with a special seismic fabric called the seismic multi-arch structure. This paper will continue to show main characteristics of the seismic multi-arch structures and discuss their relationship with mantle-origin magmatism and the lithospheric thinning process. Calibration of seismic reflectors in Chinese continental drilling sites shows that small-scale arch-like reflectors can be generated by fractured eclogites or other plutons, they do not belong to the multi-arch structure specially discussed in the paper. The multi-arch structure is char-acterized by several arch-like reflectors distributed in both the upper and lower crust with granitoid plutons or stocks exposed on the surface, which do not have obvious negative Europium anomalies. Based on the distribution pattern of arch reflectors, the multi-arch magmatic structures can be divided into three main types, namely the simple vertical combination type, the spread arch magmatic struc-ture and the arch-bouquet structure. All of them correlate to mantle-origin magmatism, but occur in different places. The spread arch magmatic structures occur within a Mesozoic/Cenozoic rift zone with very thin and hot lithosphere. The vertical combination type of the multi-arch structures occurred near the rift zones where lithosphere was thin and hot. The arch-bouquet magmatic structures occur far from the rift zones where the lithosphere is not hot. The continental rifting acted as the late episode of the lithospheric thinning process seeing that the rift zones usually coincide with the thinnest parts of the lithosphere in East China. In different locations within the lithospheric thinning areas, mantle-origin magmatic activities have different characteristics, which might generate different types of crustal structures revealed by the different types of the multi-arch magmatic structures. Therefore, high-quality deep seismic reflection profiles can be used indirectly to identify the pattern and scale of Mesozoic/Cenozoic lithospheric thinning processes and characteristics of the corresponding man-tle-origin magmatic activities.YANG Wencai1 & CHEN Zhide2 1.Institute of Geology, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, Beijing 100037, China 2.Daqing Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Production, Daqing 163712, China 2006Science China Earth Sciences2006,49,2:14
Formation mechanism of carbonate cemented zones adjacent to the top overpressured surface in the central Junggar Basin,NW China显示文摘Carbonate cemented zones are normally adjacent to the top overpressured surface in the central Junggar Basin,NW China.Stable carbon and oxygen isotopic compositions and petrological investigations of carbonate cements in the carbonate cemented zones indicate that:(1) carbonate cements are composed dominantly of ferrocalcite, ferroan dolomite, and ankerite;(2) carbonate cements are formed under a high temperature circumstance in the subsurface, and organic fluid migration has an important effect on the formation of them;and(3) carbon and oxygen ions in the carbonate cements migrate from the underlying overpressured system. This suggests that the occurrence of carbonate cemented zones in this region results from multiple phases of organic fluid expulsion out of the overpressure compartment through geological time. This study provides a plausible mechanism of the formation of carbonate cemented zones adjacent to the top overpressured surface in the clastic sedimentary basins, and has an important implication for understanding the internal correlation between the formation of carbonate cemented zones adjacent to top overpressured surface and geofluids expulsion out of overpressured system.YANG Zhi1,2,ZOU CaiNeng1,3,HE Sheng2,LI QiYan1,HE ZhiLiang3,WU HengZhi5,CAO Feng1,MENG XianLong4,WANG FuRong2 & XIAO Qilin21 State Key Laboratory of EOR,Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration & Development,PetroChina,Beijing 100083,China 2 Key Laboratory of Tectonics and Petroleum Resources of Ministry of Education,China University of Geosciences,Wuhan 430074,China 3 State Key Laboratory of EOR,Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration & Development,Petrochina,Beijing 100083,China 4 Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Production,SINOPEC,Beijing 100083,China 5 Southwest Branch Company,SINOPEC,Chengdu 610051,China 2010Science China Earth Sciences2010,53,4:12

Carbon and hydrogen isotopic characteristics of natural gases from the Luliang and Baoshan basins in Yunnan Province, China显示文摘The Luliang and Baoshan basins of Yunnan Province are two small-sized continental oil/gas-bearing sedimentary basins, which were developed at the bases of the Carboniferous and Devonian systems during the Late Tertiary, covering an area of 325 km2 and 254 km2, respectively. Since the 1990s, there have been discovered small-sized natural gas pools in these two basins. The natural gases are composed mainly of hydrocarbon gases, with nonhydrocarbons accounting for less than 2%. Of the hydrocarbon gases, methane accounts for more than 99%, and the components above C2 account for less than 0.2%. On the basis of previous studies of geological background, the composition of natural gases and their carbon isotopic composition, it has been defined that these two gas pools are of bacterial origin. In this work we have comprehensively measured the carbon and hydrogen isotopic composition of natural gases from these two basins and have gone into the details of the mechanism of gas generation. The δ 13C1 values of natural gases from the Luliang Basin are within the range of –72.1‰―–73.3‰, and the δ DCH4 values, –242‰―–234‰, indicating that the bacterial gas generation is dominated by the way of CO2 reduction. It has been evidenced that under continental-facies fresh water conditions there did occur the CO2 reduction as a process of bacterial gas generation. The δ 13C1 values of natural gases from the Baoshan Basin are within the range of –62.5‰―–63.5‰, and the δ DCH4 values, –252‰―–260‰. These isotopic characteristics are fallen into transitional phase of acetate fermentation and CO2 reduction as defined by Whiticar et al. (1986). An important discovery in the Luliang Basin is the carbon isotopic composition of ethane of purely biogenetic origin, i.e., its δ 13C2 values are within the range of –61.2‰―–66.0‰. These carbon iso- topic values have been reported for the first time in China. As compared to the δ 13C2 values of less than –55‰ for the two cases encountered previously in the world, a significant difference is that in the latter two cases there are obvious signs of contamination caused by ethane of thermal origin. So it cannot be ruled out that the light δ 13C2 values are the result of isotope fractionation of ethane of thermal origin. The δ 13C2 values of natural gases from the Luliang Basin are all less than –60‰, andthere is almost no possibility that ethane of thermal origin migrated vertically and horizontally into gas pools within this basins. This demonstrates that in the Luliang Basin the ethane, whose δ 13C2 values are within the range of –61.2‰―–66.0‰, is of purely biogenic, hence providing scientific evidence that ethane can be produced by the bacterial process. This is an important discovery in natural sci- ence, and also provides clues to the comprehensive study of the mechanism of formation of ethane.XU Yongchang1, LIU Wenhui2, SHEN Ping1, WANG Wanchun1, WANG Xiaofeng1, Tenger1, YAN Yaomin3 & LIU Ruobin3 1. 11ION HEATING PROCESS DURING PLASMA IMMERSION ION IMPLANTATION显示文摘The research on plasma immersion ion implantation has been conducted for a little over ten years. Much is needed to investigate including processing technlogy, plasma sheath dynamics, interaction of plasma and surface, etc. Of the processing methods elavated temperature technique is usually used in PIII to produce a thick modified layer by means of the thermal diffusion. Meanwhile plasma ion heating is more recently developed by Ronghua Wei et al[1]. Therefore the temeperature is a critical parameter in plasma ion processing. In this paper we present the theoretical model and analysize the effect of imlantation voltage, plasma density, ion mass, etc on the temperature rise.X.B. Tian, X.F. Wang, A.G. Liu, L.P. Wang, S. Y. 13FOXP3 expression and clinical characteristics of hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘AIM: To study the biological and clinical characteristics of transcription factor forkhead box protein 3 (FOXP3) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). METHODS: We analyzed the expression and localization of FOXP3 in HCC tissues and cell lines to evaluate its biological features. The relationship between FOXP3 staining and clinical risk factors of HCC was assessedto identify the clinical characteristics of FOXP3 in HCC. RESULTS: The mRNA and protein expression of FOXP3 were found in some hepatoma cell lines. Immunohistochemical (IHC) analysis of HCC sections revealed that 48% of HCC displayed FOXP3 staining, but we did not find any FOXP3 staining in normal liver tissues and para-tumor tissues. IHC and Confocal analysis showed that the expressions of FOXP3 were mainly present in the nucleus and cytoplasm of tumor cells in tissues or cell lines. In HCC, the distribution of FOXP3 was similar to that of the cirrhosis, but not to the hepatitis B virus. Those findings implicate that FOXP3 staining seems to be associated with the high risk of HCC. CONCLUSION: The clinical characteristics of FOXP3 in HCC warrants further studies to explore its functions and roles in the cirrhosis and development of HCC.Wei-Hua Wang, Jun-Zhi Wang, National Center for Safety Evaluation of Drugs, National Institute for the Control of Pharmaceutical and Biological Products, Beijing 100050, China Wei-Hua Wang, Chang-Li Jiang, Cun Zhang, Bo Yan, Wei Zhang, Wei Han, Ying-Qi Zhang, Biotechnology Center, School of Pharmacy, the Fourth Military Medical University, Xi’an 710032, Shaanxi Province, China Wei-Hua Wang, Chang-Li Jiang, Cun Zhang, Bo Yan, Wei Zhang, Wei Han, Ying-Qi Zhang, State Key Laboratory of Cancer Biology, Xi’an 710032, Shaanxi Province, China Wei Yan, Department of Pathology, Xijing Hospital, The Fourth Military Medical University, Xi’an 710032, Shaanxi Province, China Yu-Hai Zhang, Department of Health Statistics, The Fourth Military Medical University, Xi’an 710032, Shaanxi Province, China Jiang-Tao Yang, Department of Pathology, Xi’an Gaoxin Hospital, Xi’an 710032, Shaanxi Province, China 2010World Journal of Gastroenterology2010,16,43:10

Interactive effect of dissolved organic matter and phenanthrene on soil enzymatic activities显示文摘The investigation of dissolved organic matter(DOM) on urease, catalase and polyphenol oxidase activity in a phenanthrene(Phe)contaminated soil was conducted under laboratory incubation conditions.Values of soil enzymatic activity depended mainly on incubation time.In the initial 16 days, urease activity increased, and was followed by a decrease. In the initial 8 days, catalase activity decreased and then increased.Variation of polyphenol oxidase activity was just the reverse of catalase activity. After 30 days of incubation,no pronounced difference among treatments with Phe,Phe and DOM,and control were detected in urease, catalase and polyphenol oxidase activity.Phe might inhibit urease and catalase, and stimulate polyphenol oxidase.DOM could improve inhibition of Phe in soil urease and catalase activity during the initial period of applying DOM.Nevertheless,DOM had no significant effect on polyphenol oxidase activity in the Phe contaminated soil. There was a negative correlation between catalase and polyphenol oxidase(r =-0.761***),and catalase and urease(r =-0.554**).Additionally,a positive correlation between polyphenol oxidase and urease was also detected(r = 0.701***).It is implied that the formed DOM after application of organic wastes into soils may counteract the inhibition of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in soil enzyme activities.Xinhua Zhan,Wenzhu Wu,Lixiang Zhou,Jianru Liang,Tinghui Jiang College of Resources and Environmental Sciences,Nanjing Agricultural University,Nanjing 210095,China.Greenstar Plant Products Inc.,9430 198 St,Langley,BC,Canada V1M3C8. 2010Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,4:10

Natural gas geochemistry and its origins in Kuqa depression显示文摘According to gas compositional and carbon isotopic measurement of 114 gas samples from the Kuqa depression, accumulation of the natural gases in the depression is dominated by hydrocarbon gases, with high gas dryness(C1/C1-4)at the middle and northern parts of the depression and low one towards east and west sides and southern part. The carbon isotopes of methane and its homologues are relatively enriched in 13 C,and the distributive range ofδ13C 1 ,δ13C 2 andδ13C 3 is-32‰―-36‰,-22‰―-24‰and-20‰―-22‰,respectively.In general, the carbon isotopes of gaseous alkanes become less negative with the increase of carbon numbers.Theδ13C CO2 value is less than-10‰in the Kuqa depression, indicating its organogenic origin. The distributive range of 3 He/ 4 He ratio is within n×10-8 and a decrease in 3 He/ 4 He ratio from north to south in the depression is observed.Based on the geochemical parameters of natural gas above, natural gas in the Kuqa depression is of characteristics of coal-type gas origin. The possible reasons for the partial reversal of stable carbon isotopes of gaseous alkanes involve the mixing of gases from one common source rock with different thermal maturity or from two separated source rock intervals of similar kerogen type, multistages accumulation of natural gas under high-temperature and over-pressure conditions, and sufficiency and diffusion of natural gas.LIU QuanYou 1 ,QIN ShengFei 1 ,LI Jian 2 ,LIU WenHui 3 ,ZHANG DianWei 3 ,ZHOU QingHua 1 &HU AnPing 1 1 Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development,PetroChina,Beijing 100083,China 2 Langfang Branch of Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development,PetroChina,Langfang 065007,China 3 Exploration and Production Research Institute,SINOPEC,Beijing 100083,China 2008Science China Earth Sciences2008,51,S1:9

Gas formation mechanism of marine carbonate source rocks in China显示文摘By breaking through the conventional ideology on the study of gas-formation mechanism of source rocks which focused on merely the characteristics of source rocks them- selves, and based on the development and distribution characteristics of marine carbonate source rocks in the medium-to-bottom parts of the Chinese superimposed sedimentary basins as well as various processes in the course of gas generation and reservoir forming, the complex hydrocarbon-generating model of carbonates is established. Such a model concerns not only the “three-stage” gas formation characteristics of carbonates, but also the gas generation process due to a thermal cracking of oil and the re-generation process of gas from heated secondary organic matters during the gas-generation and reservoir-forming course. The high-quality hy- drocarbon generating matter of marine carbonate source rocks determined a high gas-oil ratio and tended to form paleo-oil-reservoirs, representing an enrichment process of organic matters. The thermal cracking of oil in palaeo-oil-reservoirs is an important means for the effective forma- tion of gas reservoirs. The secondary organic matters in carbonate reservoirs may regenerate gas after a secondary deep burial, thus becoming an effective gas source.ZHAO Wenzhi1, WANG Zhaoyun1, HE Haiqing2, ZHANG Mingjie3, WANG Hongjun1, WANG Yunpeng4 & QIN Yong5 1. 20Ternary geochemical-tracing system in natural gas accumulation显示文摘The establishment of geochemical-tracing system of gas generation and accumulation is helpful to re-elucidating the gas migration and accumulation in time and space. To deduce the complex process of gas accumulation, a ternary geochemical-tracing system is set up, according to stable isotope inheritance of source rocks, kinetic fractionation of stable isotopes, time-accumulating effect of noble gas isotopes, mantle-derived volatile inheritance, and organic molecule inheritance of light hydrocarbons and thermally kinetic fractionation in their generation, in combination with the previous achievements of gas geochemistry and geochemical parameters of gas-source correlation. There are tight interactions for the geochemical parameters with much information about parent inheritance and special biomarkers, in which they are confirmed each other, reciprocally associated and preferentially used for the requirement so that we can use these geochemical parameters to effectively demonstrate the sources of natural gas, sedimentary environments and thermal evolution of source rocks, migration and accumulation of natural gas, and rearrangement of natural gas reservoirs. It is necessary for the ternary geochemical-tracing system to predict the formation of high efficient gas reservoir and their distribution in time and space.LIU WenHui1,2?, CHEN MengJin3, GUAN Ping4, ZHENG JianJing2, JIN Qiang5, LI Jian6, WANG WanChun2, HU GuoYi3, XIA YanQing2 & ZHANG DianWei2 1 Exploration & Production Research Institute, SINOPEC, Beijing 100083, China 2 Key Laboratory of Gas Geochemistry, Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Lanzhou 730000, China 3 Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration & Production, PetroChina, Beijing 100083, China 4 School of Earth and Space Sciences, Peking University, Beijing 100871, China 5 China University of Petroleum (East China), Dongying 257062 ,China 6 Longfang Branch, Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration & Production, PetroChina, Longfang 065007, China 2007Science China Earth Sciences2007,50,10:7
