1Biochemical sensing in graphene-enhanced microfiber resonators with individual molecule sensitivity and selectivity显示文摘Photonic sensors that are able to detect and track biochemical molecules offer powerful tools for information acquisition in applications ranging from environmental analysis to medical diagnosis.The ultimate aim of biochemical sensing is to achieve both quantitative sensitivity and selectivity.As atomically thick films with remarkable optoelectronic tunability,graphene and its derived materials have shown unique potential as a chemically tunable platform for sensing,thus enabling significant performance enhancement,versatile functionalization and flexible device integration.Here,we demonstrate a partially reduced graphene oxide(prGO)inner-coated and fiber-calibrated Fabry-Perot dye resonator for biochemical detection.Versatile functionalization in the prGO film enables the intracavity fluorescent resonance energy transfer(FRET)to be chemically selective in the visible band.Moreover,by measuring the intermode interference via noise canceled beat notes and locked-in heterodyne detection with Hz-level precision,we achieved individual molecule sensitivity for dopamine,nicotine and single-strand DNA detection.This work combines atomic-layer nanoscience and high-resolution optoelectronics,providing a way toward high-performance biochemical sensors and systems.Zhongxu Cao Baicheng Yao Chenye Qin Run Yang Yanhong Guo Yufeng Zhang Yu Wu Lei Bi Yuanfu Chen Zhenda Xie Gangding Peng Shu-Wei Huang Chee Wei Wong Yunjiang Rao 2019Light(Science & Applications)2019,8,1:8

3Interference of selective higher-order modes in optical fibers显示文摘The interference of selective higher-order modes in optical fibers is investigated both theoretically and experimentally. It has been demonstrated that by coupling the LP01 mode in a step-index single-mode fiber (SMF) to the LP0m modes in step-index multimode fibers (MMFs) with different parameters, one can selectively generate higher-order modes and construct all-fiber interferometers. 10基于改进AdaBoost算法的可调谐F-P滤波器温漂补偿方法显示文摘针对光纤法布里珀罗可调谐滤波器(FFPTF)在环境温度变化时输出波长持续漂移,引起光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)解调不稳定的现象,提出一种基于改进AdaBoost算法的温度稳定FBG解调方法。采用AdaBoost集成学习构建可调谐滤波器的温漂模型,在迭代过程中提出基于误差率差值的弱学习器权重更新方法,以增强弱学习器权重与其预测误差之间的关联,提高多个弱学习器的集成效率。实验结果表明,传统AdaBoost补偿后可调谐滤波器在温度变化环境中的最大波长漂移为14.03 pm,而基于权重更新的AdaBoost算法补偿后最大波长漂移为4.75 pm。相比传统的基于标准具和气室的温漂补偿方法,所提补偿方法不需要添加额外元件,补偿精度高。盛文娟 赖振谱 杨宁 Peng Gangding 2023光学学报2023,43,3:1

13Inscription of Bragg gratings in few-mode optical fibers显示文摘Few-mode fiber Bragg grating (FM-FBG) has wide applications in the field of multi-wavelength fiber lasers and fiber-optic sensing. In this letter, FBG is successfully written in a novel type of FM fiber (FMF) based on 248-nm excimer laser and a uniform phase mask. A low-loss coupling between the FMF to a singlemode fiber is realized by a graded-index multi-mode fiber with a length of about a quarter pitch. The sensing properties of the FMF grating are further investigated. 19An intra-cavity absorption fiber gas sensor based on performanceenhanced techniques显示文摘The performance of an erbium-doped fiber ring laser based intra-cavity absorption gassensor was evaluated with performance enhanced techniques. A multi-line wavelength sweep techniqueand a weighted averaging technique were proposed for better gas detection. By selecting appropriatesystem parameters, 6 strong absorption lines near 1 530 nm of C2H2 were obtained with good spectrumresolution in one scanning period. One group with higher absorption coefficients was used for relativelylow gas concentration detection and the other with lower absorption coefficients was used for relativelyhigh gas concentration. Both the groups can be used for medium gas concentration detection. For variousconcentration cases, by choosing proper absorption lines and performing weighted averaging, detectionaccuracy can be obtained over an extended detection range. 20Quantitative Measurement of γ-Ray and e-Beam Effects on Fiber Rayleigh Scattering Coefficient显示文摘The effects of gamma ray(γ-ray)radiation and electron beam(e-beam)radiation on Rayleigh scattering coefficient in single-mode fiber are experimentally investigated.Utilizing an optical time domain reflectometry(OTDR),the power distribution curves of the irradiated fibers are obtained to retrieve the corresponding radiation-induced attenuation(RIA).Based on the backscattering power levels and the measured RIAs,the Rayleigh scattering coefficients can be characterized quantitatively for each fiber sample.Under the given radiation conditions,Rayleigh scattering coefficients have been changed very little while RIAs have been changed significantly.Furthermore,simulations have been implemented to verify the validity of the measured Rayleigh scattering coefficient,including the splicing points.Yongxiang Chen Jiaqi Li Zinan Wang Andrei Stancălie Daniel Ighigeanu Daniel Negut Dan Sporea Gangding Peng 2021Photonic Sensors2021,11,3:0
