1Effect of cis-9,trans-11-conjugated linoleic acid on cell cycle of gastric adenocarcinoma cell line(SGC-7901)显示文摘AIM: To determine the effect of cis-9, trans-1l-conjugated linoleic acid ( c9, tl 1-CLA) on the cell cycle of gastric cancer cells( SGC-7901 ) and its possible mechanism in inhibition cancer growth.METHODS: Using cell culture and immunocytochemicaltechniques, we examined the cell growth, DNA synthesis,expression of PCNA, cyclin A, B1, D1, pl6nink4a and p21clp/wafl ofSGC-7901 cells which were heated with various c9, tll-CLAconcentrations (25,50,100 and 200μnol@L-1)of c9, tll-CLA for 24and 48 h, with a negative control (0.1% ethane).RESULTS: The cell growth and DNA synthesis of SGC-7901cells were inhibited by c9, tll-CLA. SGC-7901 cells. 4Sinobaatar gen. nov.: First multituberculate from the Jehol Biota of Liaoning,Northeast China显示文摘A multituberculate skeleton from the Lower Cretaceous Yixian Formation at Dawangzhangzi, Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province, Northeast China, provides new morphological information for early multituberculates. The specimen is the holotype of Sinobaatar lingyuanensis gen. et sp. nov. It has a narrow skull that lacks the superorbital crest or postorbital process. The dental formula is 3·?·5·2/1·0·3·2. The dental morphology, especially that of cheek teeth, of S. lingyuanensis is similar to that of Eobaatar, which places it in the family Eobaataridae. The postcranial skeleton of Sinobaatar is similar to that of other multituberculates. As in Holotheria, Metatarsal V of Sinobaatar articulates only with the cuboid and has no contact with the calcaneus, which probably represents the primitive condition of multituberculates. Nine carpals of Sinobaatar resemble those of Zhang-heotherium, except the centrale being larger than the trape-zoid. 6Friction of Alloys at High Temperature显示文摘A brief review is given about the friction and wear properties of high temperature alloys. Above a critical temperature, if the oxide becomes ductile, it will flow over the surface and prevent metal-to-metat contact. In order to study the tribology of oxide lubrication. a series of tests were carried out using Cu(ReO4)2 as a lubricant. The effects of time. Surface finish. substrates. load and temperature were investigated. 7Endoscopic transluminal pancreatic necrosectomy using a self-expanding metal stent and high-flow water-jet system显示文摘Walled-off pancreatic necrosis and a pancreatic abscess are the most severe complications of acute pancreatitis. Surgery in such critically ill patients is often associated with significant morbidity and mortality within the first few weeks after the onset of symptoms. Minimal invasive approaches with high success and low mortality rates are therefore of considerable interest. Endoscopic therapy has the potential to offer safe and effective alternative treatment. We report here on 3 consecutive patients with infected walled-off pancreatic necrosis and 1 patient with a pancreatic abscess who underwent direct endoscopic necrosectomy 19-21 d after the onset of acute pancreatitis. The infected pancreatic necrosis or abscess was punctured transluminally with a cystostome and, after balloon dilatation, a non-covered self-expanding biliary metal stent was placed into the necrotic cavity. Following stent deployment, a nasobiliary pigtail catheter was placed into the cavity to ensure continuous irrigation. After 5-7 d, the metal stent was removed endoscopically and the necrotic cavity was entered with a therapeutic gastroscope. Endoscopic debridement was performed via the simultaneous application of a high-flow water-jet system; using a flush knife, a Dormia basket, and hot biopsy forceps. The transluminal endotherapy was repeated 2-5 times daily during the next 10 d. Supportive care included parenteral antibiotics and jejunal feeding. All patients improved dramatically and with resolution of their septic conditions; 3 patients were completely cured without any further complications or the need for surgery. One patient died from a complication of prolonged ventilation severe bilateral pneumonia, not related to the endoscopic procedure. No procedure related complications were observed. 8Experimental investigation of time-dependent cavitation in an oscillatory squeeze film显示文摘The occurrence of time-dependent cavitation and tensile stress in an oscillatory oil squeeze film were investigated experimentally. The test apparatus was a simple thrust bearing consisting of two parallel circular plates separated by a thin viscous oil film. During the test, one plate was at rest while the other (transparent) oscillated in a direction normal to its surface. This test configuration was chosen to avoid the rotational motion and complicated geometry of a squeeze film journal bearing. The frequency of oscillation was in the range of 5 to 50 Hz and was controlled by an electro-magnetic exciter. The process of cavity formation and its subsequent development was recorded by a high-speed video camera. Concomitant pressure in the oil film was measured both within and without the cavitation region. 11In search of the Chinese self:An fMRI study显示文摘Cultural influences on the concept of self is a very important topic for social cognitive neuroscientific exploration, as yet, little if anything is known about this topic at the neural level. The present study investigates this problem by looking at the Chinese culture’s influence on the concept of self, in which the self includes mother. In Western cultures, self-referential processing leads to a memory performance advantage over other forms of semantic processing including mother-referential, other-referential and general semantic processing, and an advantage that is potentially localizable to the medial prefrontal cortex (MPFC). In Chinese culture, however, the behavioral study showed that mother-referential processing was comparable with self-referential processing in both memory per-formance and autonoetic awareness. The present study attempts to address whether similar neural correlates (e.g. MPFC) are acting to facilitate both types of referencing. Participants judged trait ad-jectives under three reference conditions of self, other and semantic processing in Experiment I, and a mother-reference condition replaced the other-reference condition in Experiment II. The results showed that when compared to other, self-referential processing yielded activations of MPFC and cingulate areas. 12Earliest Asian discoglossid frog from western Liaoning显示文摘Based on a superbly preserved skeleton, a new anuran taxon has been named and described from the Yixian Formation (Upper Jurassic/Lower Cretaceous), Liaoning Province,northeastern China. This discovery documents the first discoglossid fossil from China, the earliest record of the group in Asia, and the only second Mesozoic discoglossid known from fully articulated material in the world. 17Orientational Domains at Room Temperature in La_(0.33) Ca_(0.67) MnO_3 Perovskite显示文摘Orientational domains at room temperature in orthorhombic perovskite La 0.33 Ca 0.67 MnO 3 were studied by group theory and observed systematically using transmission electron microscopy. There are six orientational variants ( A, A’, B,B’, C and C’ ) in orthorhombic perovskite La 0.33 Ca 0.67 MnO 3. Their orthorhombic b O directions are parallel to the a P, b P and c P directions of the cubic prototypic perovskite, respectively. In each case there are two orientational variants (e.g., A and A’ ) with their a O and c O axes interchanged. Among the possible 15 boundaries between these 6 variants there are only two types of domain boundaries: (1) m<100> boundaries C’/C, A’/A, and B’/B. 18Ureaplasma Urealyticum or Mycoplasma Hominis Infections and Semen Quality of Infertile Men in Abidjan显示文摘Objective To determine the prevalence of U. urealyticum and M. hominis in semen samples collected from men admitted in clinic for infertility, and to compare the quality of these semen samples. Methods A total of 1 058 semen samples collected were investigated. Sperm semiological assays were performed according to the guidelines of the World Health Organisation (WHO). Semen were examined by Mycoplasma IST for the detection of mycoplasma. Semen culture on agar media was used to detect other microorganisms. Chlamydia was detected using direct fluorescent assay (DFA) of Clamydia Trachomatis. Results Among 1 058 semen samples, microorganisms were detected in 638 (60.3%). The infected sperms consisted of mycoplasma alone in 507 cases (47.9%), mycoplasma and other microorganisms in 98 (9.3%), giving in all 605 (57.2%) samples infected with mycoplasma. The last 33 (3.1%) consisted of other microorganisms alone. The frequency of U.urealyticum, M. hominis and mixed genital infections detected in semen samples of infertile men were 39%, 23.8% and 5.6%, respectively. The rates of abnormal semen parameters recorded among patients infected with mycoplasma were for volume (22.2%-25%), viscosity (29.6%-43.5%), pH (64.7%-72.9%), motility (80.8%-93.8%), morphology (36.3%-47.9%), sperm concentration (53.3%-58.3%) and leukocyte count (51.4%-58.3%). Conclusion Frequency of U. urealyticum infection was higher than that of M. hominis. Mycoplasma infections were associated with disorders of pH, motility and sperm concentration. In addition M. hominis infection affected spermatozoa morphology. 19SEVERE PLASTIC DEFORMATION TECHNIQUES显示文摘There is a considerable interest in developing methods for processing of materials with ultrafine grain si- zes. Widely used methods in refining microstructure are severe/intense plastic deformation techniques, such as torsion straining, equal channel angular (ECA) pressing/extrusion,and accumulative roll bonding (ARB) technique.While the torsion technique has been available for decades,a new torsion system has been developed at DSI for simulation of complex stress states such as combination of shear and compression or shear and tension stress states. The equal channel angular pressing technique is ma- inly used for production of ultrafine grain aluminum alloys,which is aimed at develoment of high strain rate superplasticity.The accumulative roll bonding technique has been applied for the rolling of both aluminum alloy and steels to produce ultrafine gained materials. Three different types of hot compression deformation methods, each with a different number of deforma- tion axis, are introduced in this paper. They are single axis deformation, two axis deformation and three axis deformation.The single axis deformation has us or little restraint such as plane strain type testing and axisymmetric compression testing, the two - axis deformation can be fully restrained or un- restrained, and the three - axis deformation has no restraint. The two - axis restrainsd compression deformation techopue is recommended for loboratory side after comparing the single - axis and the three - axis deformation techniques since the bulk volume of the two - axis restraint compression speci- men can be easily machined into mechanical testing speciments for mechanical property measurement and other studies,and the technique can be aplied to studies of any metallic materials.W. 20Selective flocculation of fines显示文摘A number of factors that affect selective flocculation of fines have been identified and the effect of some of parameters on process behavior has been explained with the help of a few case studies. Experiments with francolite montmorillonite and francolite palygorskite mixtures indicated that francolite recovery depends on pH and the type of dispersant. The results showed that removal of multivalent ionic species on clay mineral surfaces seems to enhance flocculation, and separation efficiency increases as Ca 2+ ions are removed from the surface.
