1Anti-tumor activity of wogonin, an extract from Scutellaria baicalensis, through regulating different signaling pathways显示文摘Wogonin is a plant flavonoid compound extracted from Scutellaria baicalensis(Huang-Qin or Chinese skullcap) and has been studied thoroughly by many researchers till date for its anti-viral, anti-oxidant, anti-cancerous and neuro-protective properties. Numerous experiments conducted in vitro and in vivo have demonstrated wogonin's excellent tumor inhibitory properties. The anticancer mechanism of wogonin has been ascribed to modulation of various cell signaling pathways, including serine-threonine kinase Akt(also known as protein kinase B) and AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK) pathways, p53-dependent/independent apoptosis, and inhibition of telomerase activity. Furthermore, wogonin also decreases DNA adduct formation with a carcinogenic compound 2-Aminofluorene and inhibits growth of drug resistant malignant cells and their migration and metastasis, without any side effects. Recently, newly synthesized wogonin derivatives have been developed with impressive anti-tumor activity. This review is the succinct appraisal of the pertinent articles on the mechanisms of anti-tumor properties of wogonin. We also summarize the potential of wogonin and its derivatives used alone or as an adjunct therapy for cancer treatment. 2Wound healing activity of aqueous extract of Crotalaria verrucosa in Wistar albino rats显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the wound healing effect of aqueous extract of Crotalaria verrucosa(C. verrucosa) in rats.Methods:Three wound models including incision,excision and dead space wounds were used in this study.The parameters studied were breaking strength in incision models,granulation tissue dry weight,breaking strength and hydroxyproline content in dead space wounds,percentage of wound contraction and period of epithelialization in excision wound model.Results:Two doses of the extract with and without dexamethasone showed significant increases in mean hydroxyproline,total protein content and dry weight of granulation tissue but it was higher with dose 800 mg/kg comparing with the control.The dexamethasone treated group showed a significant(P<0.001) reduction in the wound breaking strength when compared to control group in incision type of wound model.Coadministration of C.verrucosa with dexamethasone significantly(P<0.001) increased the breaking strength compared to the dexamethasone treated only group.In excision wound model,the percentage of the wound contraction was significantly(P<0.01) increased by two doses of test extract on all the days except the lower dose which exhibited only on 12th,16th days of drug treatment and it also reversed the dexamethasone suppressed wound contraction.It significantly(P<0.001) reduced the time required for epithelialization and reversed the epithelialization delaying effect of dexamethasone (P<0.001).Conclusions:C.verrucosa was found to possess significant wound healing property. 3吸入型糖皮质激素用于哮喘患者的效果研究显示文摘目的借助于哮喘控制测试(ACT),论证使用吸入型糖皮质激素作为控制哮喘患者病情的临床疗效,与未使用任何药物控制哮喘症状或疾病发作的患者进行数据比较。方法在2012年7月,总共60名哮喘患者被要求做ACT问卷,其中32名患者作为对照组(n=32)未使用任何控制药物;28名患者作为观察组(n=28)使用吸入型糖皮质激素;并对两组的ACT结果进行了比较。结果所有患者都进行了ACT,并得到了相应的ACT分值。在对照组中,所有男性(n=13)患者的哮喘病情都控制不佳,19名女性中只有2名(10.53%)患者的病情得到了轻微的控制,其余的17名女性患者(89.47%)哮喘病情都控制不佳。在观察组中,男性患者(n=13)有6名(46.15%)患者哮喘病情未得到控制,女性患者(n=15)中,只有3名(20%)患者哮喘病情未得到控制。总体来说,ACT分值高于19的情况下,11名(39.29%)患者的哮喘得到了良好控制。结论使用吸入型糖皮质激素的哮喘控制物,例如倍氯米松和去炎松在维持哮喘的良好控制方面取得较好结果 ,ACT分值结果展示了这一点。使用吸入型糖皮质激素与未使用任何控制物相比,ACT分值得到了显著改变。Bhanu Siva Kumar Sileveru Dinesh Babu Abbadasari Neelesh Taticherala 冯宇峰 2013中国实用医药2013,8,29:3
4聚醚醚酮椎体间融合器和钛网用于前路减压植骨融合术治疗脊髓型颈椎病的对比研究显示文摘目的比较聚醚醚酮(PEEK)椎体间融合器和钛网在前路减压植骨融合术中应用的临床及放射线治疗效果。方法选择2011年6月~2012年6月期间21例脊髓型颈椎病拟行前路减压植骨融合术的患者,男15例,女6例,年龄46~62岁,并进行了相关评估;随机分为PEEK组(n=13)采用PEEK椎体间融合器融合术和钛网组(n=8)采用钛质网笼融合术。测量并记录两组患者的节段矢状测角、颈椎前凸和融合段高度。结果 PEEK组节段矢状测角的提高比钛网组中的成功率高16.67%(P〈0.05),虽然颈椎前凸损失在两组中差异无统计学意义(P〉0.05),但在钛网组中的患者融合段高度比PEEK组提高了11.12%(P〈0.05)。结论 PEEK椎体间融合器在改善颈椎曲度方面优于钛网,然而钛网在维持融合段高度方面比PEEK融合器好。Neelesh Taticherala Dinesh Babu Abbadasari Bhanu Siva Kumar Sileveru 冯宇峰 2013中国实用医药2013,8,29:0
5Design of a 2-DOF-PID controller using an improved sine-cosine algorithm for load frequency control of a three-area system with nonlinearities显示文摘This paper proposes an improved sine-cosine algorithm(ISCA)based 2-DOF-PID controller for load frequency control.A three-area test system is built for study,while some physical constraints(nonlinearities)are considered for the investigation of a realistic power system.The proposed method is used as the parameter optimizer of the LFC control-ler in different scenarios.The 2-DOF-PID controllers are used because of their capability of fast disturbance rejection without significant increase of overshoot in set-point tracking.The 2-DOF-PID controllers’efficacy is observed by examining the responses with the outcomes obtained with PID and FOPID controllers.The simulation results with the suggested scheme are correlated with some of the existing algorithms,such as SCA,SSA,ALO,and PSO in three dif-ferent scenarios,i.e.,a disturbance in two areas,in three areas,and in the presence of physical constraints.In addition,the study is extended to a four-area power system.Statistical analysis is performed using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test(WSRT)on 20 independent runs.This confirms the supremacy of the proposed method.Neelesh Kumar Gupta Manoj Kumar Kar Arun Kumar Singh 2022Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems2022,7,1:0
6An exponential expanding meshes sequence and finite difference method adopted for two-dimensional elliptic equations显示文摘We demonstrate a new nonuniform mesh finite difference method to obtain accurate solutions for the elliptic partial differential equations in two dimensions with nonlinear first-order partial derivative terms.The method will be based on a geometric grid network area and included among the most stable differencing scheme in which the nine-point spatial finite differences are implemented,thus arriving at a compact formulation.In general,a third order of accuracy has been achieved and a fourth-order truncation error in the solution values will follow as a particular case.The efficiency of using geometric mesh ratio parameter has been shown with the help of illustrations.The convergence of the scheme has been established using the matrix analysis,and irreducibility is proved with the help of strongly connected characteristics of the iteration matrix.The difference scheme has been applied to test convection diffusion equation,steady state Burger’s equation,ocean model and a semi-linear elliptic equation.The computational results confirm the theoretical order and accuracy of the method.Navnit Jha Neelesh Kumar 2016International Journal of Modeling, Simulation, and Scientific Computing2016,7,2:0
