| 1 | Effect of itopride, a new prokinetic, in patients with mild GERD: A pilot study显示文摘AIM: Itopride is a newly developed prokinetic agent, which enhances gastric motility through both antidopaminergic and anti-acetylcholinesterasic actions. The importance of esophageal motor dysfunction in the pathogenesis of gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD) makes it interesting to examine the effect of itopride on esophageal acid exposure.METHODS: The effect of itopride on esophageal acid reflux variables for 24 h was studied in 26 patients with GERD symptoms, pre-entry total acid exposure time (pH<4) of more than 5% and mild esophagitis (SavaryMiller grades Ⅰ, Ⅱ) proven by endoscopy. Ambulatory 24-h pH-metry and symptom assessment were performed after treatments with 150 or 300 mg itopride thrice a day (t.i.d.) for 30 d in random order, using an open label method.For evaluating the safety of itopride, blood biochemical laboratory test was performed and the serum prolactin level was also examined before and after treatment.RESULTS: Total symptom score was significantly decreased after treatment in 150- or 300-mg group. Itopride 300mg was significantly effective than 150 mg on decreasing the total per cent time with pH<4, total time with pH<4and DeMeester score. | 3 | Scalable synthesis of nanoporous silicon microparticles for highly cyclable lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Nanoporous silicon is a promising anode material for high energy density batteries due to its high cycling stability and high tap density compared to other nanostructured anode materials.However,the high cost of synthesis and low yield of nanoporous silicon limit its practical application.Here,we develop a scalable,low-cost top-down process of controlled oxidation of Mg2Si in the air,followed by HCl removal of MgO to generate nanoporous silicon without the use of HF.By controlling the synthesis conditions,the oxygen content,grain size and yield of the porous silicon are simultaneously optimized from commercial standpoints.In situ environmental transmission electron microscopy reveals the reaction mechanism;the Mg2Si microparticle reacts with O2 to form MgO and Si,while preventing SiO2 formation.Owing to the low oxygen content and microscale secondary structure,the nanoporous silicon delivers a higher initial reversible capacity and initial Coulombic efficiency compared to commercial Si nanoparticles(3,033 mAh/g vs.2,418 mAh/g,84.3%vs.73.1%).Synthesis is highly scalable,and a yield of 90.4%is achieved for the porous Si nanostructure with the capability to make an excess of 10 g per batch.Our synthetic nanoporous silicon is promising for practical applications in next generation lithium-ion batteries. | Jiangyan Wang William Huang Yong Seok Kim You Kyeong Jeong Sang Cheol Kim Jeffrey Heo Hiang Kwee Lee Bofei Liu Jaehou Nah Yi Cui | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,6: | 9 |

| 5 | A gastrointestinal stromal tumor of the duodenum masquerading as a pancreatic head tumor显示文摘Gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) represents the most common kind of mesenchymal tumor that arises from the alimentary tract. GIST is currently defined as a gastrointestinal tract mesenchymal tumor showing CD117 (c-kit protein) positivity at immunohistochemistry. Throughout the whole length of the gastrointestinal tract, GIST arises most commonly from the stomach followed by the small intestine, the colorectum, and the esophagus. Only 3%-5% of GISTs occur in the duodenum, and especially, if GIST arises from the C loop of the duodenum, it can be difficult to differentiate from the pancreas head mass because of its anatomical proximity.
