1Non Planar Electrostatic Solitary Wave Structures in Negative Ion Degenerate Plasma显示文摘Theoretical and numerical studies are performed for quantum ion acoustic solitons in planar and non-planar geometries in an unmagnetized homogenous plasma consisting of warm positive and negative ions with nonthermal electrons.A deformed Korteweg de Vries(DKdV)equation is derived by using the reductive perturbation method.The numerical solution to the DKdV equation indicates that the quantum parameter,temperatures of positive ions,temperture of negative ions and electron density blatantly influence the propagation speed and the structure of quantum ion acoustic solitons.The geometrical effects on the structure of quantum ion acoustic wave are discussed.It is shown that the amplitude and propagation speed in spherical geometry is larger as compared to cylinderical and planar geometries for different values of the above-mentioned parameters.S.Hussain N.Akhtar Saeed-ur-Rehman 2011Chinese Physics Letters2011,28,4:0
2Magnetosonic Shocks in Ultra-Relativistic Dissipative Degenerate Plasmas显示文摘Magnetosonic shock structures in dissipative magnetized degenerate electron ion plasma are studied.The two fluid quantum magnetohydrodynamic equations for non-degenerate ions and ultra-relativistic degenerate electron fluids with the Maxwell equations are presented.Using the reductive perturbation technique the Korteweg de Vries Burgers(KdVB)equation is derived and its solution is presented with the tanh method.Astrophysical plasma parameters are used to study the effects of variation of plasma density,magnetic held intensity and kinematic viscosity on the propagation characteristics of nonlinear shock structures in such plasma systems.S.Hussain N.Akhtar N.Mustafa 2016Chinese Physics Letters2016,33,8:0
3Stokes flow before plane boundary with mixed stick-slip boundary conditions显示文摘A general theorem for the Stokes flow over a plane boundary with mixed stick-slip boundary conditions is established.This is done by using a representation for the velocity and pressure fields in the three-dimensional Stokes flow in terms of a biharmonic function and a harmonic function.The earlier theorem for the Stokes flow due to fundamental singularities before a no-slip plane boundary is shown to be a special case of the present theorem.Furthermore,in terms of the Stokes stream function,a corollary of the theorem is also derived,providing a solution to the problem of the axisymmetric Stokes flow along a rigid plane with stick-slip boundary conditions.The formulae for the drag and torque exerted by the fluid on the boundary are established.An illustrative example is given.N.AKHTAR G.A.H.CHOWDHURY S.K.SEN 2011Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2011,32,6:0
