1Slippery Photothermal Trap for Outstanding Deicing Surfaces显示文摘Ice accumulation is a safety and operational threat in power lines,wind turbines,and transportations.Surfaces having both passive anti-icing and active deicing functionalities are very rare.Here,we report a self-cleaning slippery photothermal trap,which is icephobic passively and deice the surfaces actively by converting sun light to heat at the ice-substrate interface.The photothermal trap consists of three layers:a candle soot layer act as solar radiation absorber,a magnetic iron oxide Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles layer act as heat spreader for lateral dispersal of sun light,and Room Temperature Vulcanized(RTV)insulation to reduce the transverse heat loss.Upon illumination under microsolar 300,the temperature of the surface increased by 40℃ within 200 s.The heat confinement at the magnetic Fe_(3)O_(4) na-noparticles layer leads to rapid increase of the surface temperature,ice start to melt and silicone lubricant facilitates the ice removal.The slippery photothermal trap removed the frozen droplet(10 fiL)within 40 s upon the illumination of sun light and the frozen droplet was completely converted into water after 7 min illumination of solar light at-20℃.The developed slippery photothermal trap also melted the fully frost covered layer within 100 s at-20℃ under sunlamp.The average defrosted length(25 mm)was also observed by irradiation of laser light for 45 s.The self-cleaning slippery photothermal coating showed outstanding deicing performance at subzero temperature for long term due to the infusion of silicone oil into the nanostructures and same chemical composition with binder.Muhammad Imran Jamil Qiongyan Wang Amjad Ali Munir Hussain Tariq Aziz Xiaoli Zhan Qinghua Zhang 2021Journal of Bionic Engineering2021,18,3:3

3Negotiation Based Combinatorial Double Auction Mechanism in Cloud Computing显示文摘Cloud computing is a demanding business platform for services related to the field of IT.The goal of cloud customers is to access resources at a sustainable price,while the goal of cloud suppliers is to maximize their services utilization.Previously,the customers would bid for every single resource type,which was a limitation of cloud resources allocation.To solve these issues,researchers have focused on a combinatorial auction in which the resources are offered by the providers in bundles so that the user bids for their required bundle.Still,in this allocation mechanism,some drawbacks need to be tackled,such as due to the lower average bid price the users are dropped from the auction process.To solve this problem,we proposed a“Negotiation based Combinatorial Double Auction Mechanism for Resource Allocation(N-CDARA)in cloud computing”.The proposed method negotiates with dropped users.Lower average bid price users are asked by our proposed mechanism to increase their bids,as by the quoted bids they will be dropped by the auctioneer.Most of the users that are close to winning accept the proposal and increase their bid prices.The proposed mechanism is implemented in a CloudSim simulation toolkit.Results are compared with the latest model and performance study shows that in our proposed scheme more users win and get their requested services and the utilization of offered services is increased up to 18.4%than the existing schemes.Zakir Ullah Asif Umer Mahdi Zaree Jamil Ahmad Faisal Alanazi Noor Ul Amin Arif Iqbal Umar Ali Imran Jehangiri Muhammad Adnan 2021Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,11:0
43-D seismic interpretation of stratigraphic and structural features in the Upper Jurassic to Lower Cretaceous sequence of the Gullfaks Field,Norwegian North Sea:A case study of reservoir development显示文摘The 3-D seismic dataset is a key tool to analyze and understand the mechanism of structural and stratigraphic hydrocarbon(HC)trapping in the subsurface.Conventionally used subsurface seismic characterization methods for fractures are based on the theory of effective anisotropy medium.The aim of this work is to improve the structural images with dense sampling of 3-D survey to evaluate structural and stratigraphic models for reservoir development to predict reservoir quality.The present study of the Gullfaks Field,located in the Norwegian North Sea Gullfaks sector,identifies the shallowest structural elements.The steepness of westward structural dip decreases eastward during the Upper Jurassic to Lower Cretaceous deposition.Reservoir sands consist of the Middle Jurassic deltaic deposits and Lower Jurassic fluvial channel and delta plain deposits.Sediment supply steadily prevails on sea-level rise and the succession displays a regressive trend indicated by a good continuous stacking pattern.The key factor for the development of reservoirs in the Gullfaks Field is fault transmissibility with spatially distributed pressure.The majority of mapped faults with sand-to-sand contacts are non-sealing,which provide restriction for the HC flow between the fault blocks.The traps for HC accumulation occur between the post-rift and syn-rift strata,i.e.antiform set by extensional system,unconformity trap at the top of syndeposition,and structural trap due to normal faults.Overall reservoir quality in the studied area is generally excellent with average 35%porosity and permeability in the Darcy range.Our findings are useful to better understand the development of siliciclastic reservoirs in similar geological settings worldwide.Muhammad Usman Numair Ahmed Siddiqui Eduardo Garzanti Muhammad Jamil Qazi Sohail Imran Luqman Ahmed 2021Energy Geoscience2021,2,4:0
