2Microstructure and mechanical properties of Al/Cu/Mg laminated composite sheets produced by the ARB proces显示文摘In the present study, an Al/Cu/Mg multi-layered composite was produced by accumulative roll bonding(ARB) through seven passes, and its microstructure and mechanical properties were evaluated. The microstructure investigations show that plastic instability occurred in both the copper and magnesium reinforcements in the primary sandwich. In addition, a composite with a perfectly uniform distribution of copper and magnesium reinforcing layers was produced during the last pass. By increasing the number of ARB cycles, the microhardness of the layers including aluminum, copper, and magnesium was significantly increased. The ultimate tensile strength of the sandwich was enhanced continually and reached a maximum value of 355.5 MPa. This strength value was about 3.2, 2, and 2.1 times higher than the initial strength values for the aluminum, copper, and magnesium sheets, respectively. 3An efficient design tool based on FEM for evaluating effects of components properties and operating conditions on interaction of tire with rigid road显示文摘It is noted that any variation in operating conditions has a considerable effect on the tire/road interaction. Furthermore,choosing a range of proper values for carcass stiffness is very essential for both tire safety and effective driving action. In this work,an elaborated 3D model fully compliant with the geometrical size of radial tire 185/60 R15 is worked up, for evaluating the effects of components properties and working conditions on deformation and stress/strain fields created inside the tire. For the simulation, the tire structure is assumed to be composed of tread, carcass ply, and bead. The mechanical behavior of rubber as main component of tire is described by Mooney-Rivlin material model. 5Numerical simulation of tire/soil interaction using a verified 3D finite element model显示文摘The compaction and stress generation on terrain were always investigated based on empirical approaches or testing methods for tire/soil interaction.However,the analysis should be performed for various tires and at different soil strengths.With the increasing capacity of numerical computers and simulation software,finite element modeling of tire/terrain interaction seems a good approach for predicting the effect of change on the parameters.In this work,an elaborated 3D model fully complianning with the geometry of radial tire 115/60R13 was established,using commercial code Solidwork Simulation.The hyper-elastic and incompressible rubber as tire main material was analyzed by Moony-Rivlin model.The Drucker-Prager yield criterion was used to model the soil compaction.Results show that the model realistically predicts the laboratory tests outputs of the modeled tire on the soft soil.Namjoo Moslem Golbakhshi Hossein 2014Journal of Central South University2014,21,2:6
6Microstructure and mechanical properties of SiC-particle-strengthening tri-metal Al/Cu/Ni composite produced by accumulative roll bonding process显示文摘In this study, a multilayer Al/Ni/Cu composite reinforced with Si C particles was produced using an accumulative roll bonding(ARB) process with different cycles. The microstructure and mechanical properties of this composite were investigated using optical and scanning microscopy and hardness and tensile testing. The results show that by increasing the applied strain, the Al/Ni/Cu multilayer composite converted from layer features to near a particle-strengthening characteristic. After the fifth ARB cycle, a composite with a uniform distribution of reinforcements(Cu, Ni, and SiC) was fabricated. The tensile strength of the composite increased from the initial sandwich structure to the first ARB cycle and then decreased from the first to the third ARB cycle. Upon reaching five ARB cycles, the tensile strength of the composite increased again. The variation in the elongation of the composite exhibited a tendency similar to that of its tensile strength. It is observed that with increasing strain, the microhardness values of the Al, Cu, and Ni layers increased, and that the dominant fracture mechanisms of Al and Cu were dimple formation and ductile fracture. 7Modeling-based optimization of a fixed-bed industrial reactor for oxidative dehydrogenation of propane显示文摘An industrial scale propylene production via oxidative dehydrogenation of propane(ODHP)in multi-tubular reactors was modeled.Multi-tubular fixed-bed reactor used for ODHP process,employing 10000 of small diameter tubes immersed in a shell through a proper coolant flows.Herein,a theory-based pseudo-homogeneous model to describe the operation of a fixed bed reactor for the ODHP to correspondence ole fin over V_2O_5/γ-Al_2O_3catalyst was presented.Steady state one dimensional model has been developed to identify the operation parameters and to describe the propane and oxygen conversions,gas process and coolant temperatures,as well as other parameters affecting the reactor performance such as pressure.Furthermore,the applied model showed that a double-bed multitubular reactor with intermediate air injection scheme was superior to a single-bed design due to the increasing of propylene selectivity while operating under lower oxygen partial pressures resulting in propane conversion of about 37.3%.The optimized length of the reactor needed to reach 100%conversion of the oxygen was theoretically determined.For the single-bed reactor the optimized length of 11.96 m including 0.5m of inert section at the entrance region and for the double-bed reactor design the optimized lengths of 5.72m for the first and 7.32 m for the second reactor were calculated.Ultimately,the use of a distributed oxygen feed with limited number of injection points indicated a signi ficant improvement on the reactor performance in terms of propane conversion and propylene selectivity.Besides,this concept could overcome the reactor runaway temperature problem and enabled operations at the wider range of conditions to obtain enhanced propylene production in an industrial scale reactor.Ali Darvishi Razieh Davand Farhad Khorasheh Moslem Fattahi 2016Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2016,24,5:5

9Investigation of effective dimensionless numbers on initiation of instability in combustion of moisty organic dust显示文摘In this work,the effect of various effective dimensionless numbers and moisture contents on initiation of instability in combustion of moisty organic dust is calculated.To have reliable model,effect of thermal radiation is taken into account.One- dimensional flame structure is divided into three zones: preheat zone,reaction zone and post-flame zone.To investigate pulsating characteristics of flame,governing equations are rewritten in dimensionless space-time(ξ,η,τ) coordinates.By solving these newly achieved governing equations and combining them,which is completely discussed in body of article,a new expression is obtained.By solving this equation,it is possible to predict initiation of instability in organic dust flame.According to the obtained results by increasing Lewis number,threshold of instability happens sooner.On the other hand,pulsating is postponed by increasing Damk?hler number,pyrolysis temperature or moisture content.Also,by considering thermal radiation effect,burning velocity predicted by our model is closer to experimental results.Mehdi Bidabadi Farzad Faraji Dizaji Hossein Beidaghy Dizaji Moslem Safari Ghahsareh 2014Journal of Central South University2014,21,1:4
10Estimation of rock uniaxial compressive strength for an Iranian carbonate oil reservoir: Modeling vs. artificial neural network application显示文摘Estimation of rock mechanic parameters is an important issue in reservoir management.Uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)and elastic modulus are the most important factors in determining the rock mechanic parameters in petroleum engineering studies.Accessibility to the parameters in fields such as designing fracture,analyzing of wellbore stability and drilling programming are very useful.The most accurate method to assign the aforementioned parameters is measuring these parameters in a laboratory.Laboratory determination of these parameters is problematic work due to technology issues,lack of laboratory equipment and coring problems in oil and gas wells,so indirect estimation of these parameters is required.Using well log data is the cheapest and most available approach in order to indirectly estimate these parameters.In this investigation,different models including multiple linear regression(MLR)and artificial neural network(ANN)(i.e.,multi linear perceptron(MLP)and radial basis function(RBF))were utilized for prediction of UCS via the three parameters of porosity,density and water saturation.These data were obtained from analysis of sonic,neutron,gamma ray and electric logs.The best results were obtained from a 3-15-1 MLP network which included one hidden layer and 15 neurons from the hidden layer using the trial and error method,and a 3-17-1 RBF which included 17 hidden neurons and a spread ò of 1.6.The core data from one of the carbonate Iranian oil fields(Asmari reservoir)were utilized for training,validation and testing of the networks,and correlation coefficients of 0.68,0.90 and 0.83 were obtained for MLR,MLP and RBF,respectively.Maryam Hassanvand Siyamak Moradi Moslem Fattahi Ghasem Zargar Mosayyeb Kamari 2018Petroleum Research2018,3,4:3
11Thermo-structural analysis on evaluating effects of friction and transient heat transfer on performance of gears in high-precision assemblies显示文摘The high precision assemblies with considerable radial interference should be accompanied by heating and cooling processes.However,the mechanical properties of metals are greatly affected by thermal operations.So,for evaluating the stress distribution and distortion of teeth profiles in a gear/shaft assembly,a transient thermal analysis is necessary for finding the change in mechanical properties.The friction on the contact surface is another important parameter in interaction of the gear with the shaft.Evaluating the gear stress and deformation fields for several modes of heat transfer and friction coefficients showed that the maximum radial or tangential stresses on contact surface of the joint may have more than 8%increase by increasing friction coefficient;while the intensity of heat transfer at cooling stage has lower effect on stress distribution.Hossein Golbakhshi Moslem Namjoo 2017Journal of Central South University2017,24,1:3

13Fungal diversity notes 367-490:taxonomic and phylogenetic contributions to fungal taxa显示文摘This is a continuity of a series of taxonomic papers where materials are examined,described and novel combinations are proposed where necessary to improve our traditional species concepts and provide updates on their classification.In addition to extensive morphological descriptions and appropriate asexual and sexual connections,DNA sequence data are also analysed from concatenated datasets(rDNA,TEF-a,RBP2 and b-Tubulin)to infer phylogenetic relationships and substantiate systematic position of taxa within appropriate ranks.Wherever new species or combinations are being proposed,we apply an integrative approach(morphological and molecular data as well as ecological features wherever applicable).Notes on 125 fungal taxa are compiled in this paper,including eight new genera,101 new species,two new combinations,one neotype,four reference specimens,new host or distribution records 14Friction stir welding of pure magnesium and polypropylene in a lap-joint configuration: Microstructure and mechanical properties显示文摘A hybrid joint with a satisfactory mixture of pure magnesium and polypropylene(PP)was achieved via friction stir joining(FSW)in a lap-joint configuration.The tool rotational and travel speeds used in this work were 500–700 r/min and 50–100 mm/min,respectively.The mechanical properties and microstructural analysis of the resultant hybrid Mg/PP joint were examined.The results show that the maximum tensile shear strength(22.5 MPa)of the joint was attained at 700 r/min and 75 mm/min due to the optimum percentage fraction of mechanical interlocking(48%)and the presence of magnesium oxide.The interfacial joint center exhibits the maximum microhardness values because of the presence of refined and intertwined Mg fragments and density dislocations in the matrix of the PP.The joint failed via two different modes:interfacial line and weld zone fractures,respectively.Amirhossein Moghanian Moslem Paidar Seyyed Salman Seyedafghahi Olatunji Oladimeji Ojo 2019International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2019,26,6:2
15A three dimensional CFD simulation and optimization of direct DME synthesis in a fixed bed reactor显示文摘In this study, a comprehensive three-dimensional dynamic model was developed for simulating the flow behavior and catalytic coupling reactions for direct synthesis of dimethyl ether(DME) from syngas including CO2 in a fixed bed reactor at commercial scale under both adiabatic and isothermal conditions. For this purpose, a computational fluid dynamic(CFD) simulation was carried out through which the standard k-ε model with 10% turbulence tolerations was implemented. At first, an adiabatic fixed bed reactor was simulated and the obtained results were compared with those of an equivalent commercial slurry reactor. Then the concentration and temperature profiles along the reactor were predicted. Consequently, the optimum temperature, pressure, hydrogen to carbon monoxide ratio in the feedstock and the reactor height under different operation conditions were determined. Finally, the results obtained from this three-dimensional dynamic model under appropriate industrial boundary conditions were compared with those of others available in literature to verify the model. Next, through changing the boundary conditions, the simulation was performed for an isothermal fixed bed reactor. Furthermore, it was revealed that, under isothermal conditions, the performed equilibrium simulations were done for a single phase system. Considering the simultaneous effects of temperature and pressure, the optimum operation conditions for the isothermal and adiabatic fixed bed reactors were investigated. The results of the H2+CO conversions indicated that, under isothermal condition, higher conversion could be achieved, in compared with that under adiabatic conditions. Then, the effects of various operating parameters, including the pressure and temperature, of the reactor on the DME production were examined. 16Effect of Functionalized Magnetite Nanoparticles and Diaminoxanthone on the Curing, Thermal Degradation Kinetic and Corrosion Property of Diglycidyl Ether of Bisphenol A-Based Epoxy Resin显示文摘To prepare a high-performance epoxy resin with excellent thermal, chemical and corrosion stability, diaminoxanthone(DAX) was used to cure diglycidylether of bisphenol-A(DGEBA)-based epoxy resin and blend of DGEBA with functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles. Kinetic parameters of curing and thermal degradation of epoxy resin systems were estimated by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA), respectively. The 10% weight loss temperature has been increased from 340 °C to 366 °C and there was an increase in the char yield from 32.6% to 45.3% for the above systems. The corrosion performance of epoxy coated carbon steel was examined by potentiodynamic polarization, along with immersion test in 1.0 mol/L HCl solution. The results showed that epoxy resins cured with DAX had low tendency to corrosion. In addition, the cured epoxy resin containing 10% Fe3O4 had higher anticorrosion activity than bare DGEBA system. 17Microstructure and wear behavior of AA6061/SiC surface composite fabricated via friction stir processing with different pins and passes显示文摘In this investigation,the effects of pin geometry and number of passes on macrostructure,microstructure,wear rate and also microhardness profile of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy surface composites fabricated via friction stir processing(FSP)were discussed by reinforcement particles of silicon carbide(SiC).The results show that after each FSP pass,a modify distribution of SiC particles is acquired and the increase in the number of passes reduces the average grain size in stir zone(SZ).Furthermore,it is discovered that pin geometry and pass number play a dominant role in the grain size of SZ and distribution of SiC particles in SZ.It is found that after each FSP pass,wear rate is improved due to the uniform distribution of SiC particles in surface of Al/SiC composite.Additionally,the results show that the square pin and smooth(straight)cylindrical pin have the highest and lowest resistance to wear,respectively.Hamidreza Eftekharinia Ahmad Ali Amadeh Alireza Khodabandeh Moslem Paidar 2020Rare Metals2020,39,4:2
18Mathematical modeling of a slurry reactor for DME direct synthesis from syngas显示文摘In this paper,an axial dispersion mathematical model is developed to simulate a three-phase slurry bubble column reactor for direct synthesis of dimethyl ether(DME) from syngas.This large-scale reactor is modeled using mass and energy balances,catalyst sedimentation andsingle-bubble as well as two-bubbles class flow hydrodynamics.A comparison between the two hydrodynamic models through pilot plantexperimental data from the literature shows that heterogeneous two-bubbles flow model is in better agreement with the experimental data thanhomogeneous single-bubble gas flow model.Also,by investigating the heterogeneous gas flow and axial dispersion model for small bubblesas well as the large bubbles and slurry(i.e.including paraffins and the catalyst) phase,the temperature profile along the reactor is obtained.Acomparison between isothermal and non-isothermal reactors reveals no obvious performance difference between them.The optimum values ofreactor diameter and height were obtained at 7 m and 50 m,respectively.The effects of operating variables on the axial catalyst distribution,DME productivity and CO conversion are also investigated in this research.Sadegh Papari Mohammad Kazemeini Moslem Fattahi 2012Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2012,21,2:2
19Novel Conductive PANI/Hydrophilic Thiacalix[4]arene Nanocomposites: Synthesis, Characterization and Investigation of Properties显示文摘Nanocomposites of polyaniline(PANI) and the macrocycle thiacalix[4]arene tetra sulfonate(TCAS) were successfully synthesized in feed ratios of 1:0.25, 1:0.50 and 1:0.75 by three prevail synthetic methods, i.e. in situ polymerization, emulsion polymerization and solution casting technique. The structures of the nanocomposites were confirmed by FTIR, UV-Vis, XRD, SEM, and TEM techniques. The conductivity was measured by a four probe method. The conductivity was recorded to be as high as 105 × 10 2S cm 1for the nanocomposite with a nanometer size structure and homogeneously distributed morphology. The electroactivity of the nanocomposites was approved by cyclic voltammetry(CV) and impedance spectroscopy technique(EIS). The antioxidant ability and thermal property of the composites were further studied. 20Effects of synthesized nanoparticles and Henna-Tragacanth solutions on oil/water interfacial tension:Nanofluids stability considerations显示文摘Rising global energy demand has encouraged engineers to create and design new methods to improve oil recovery from reservoirs.In this study,feasibility of using Henna extract as a natural surfactant and synthesized nanoparticles(Titanium dioxide(TiO2),Silicon dioxide(SiO2),Graphene and composite of TiO2-Graphene)for reduction of oil-water interfacial tension has been experimentally investigated.Nanoparticles were synthesized via sol-gel method and XRD,FESEM,EDAX and FTIR tests were conducted to confirm the authenticity of this synthesizing materials.Nano-surfactants were stabled with a natural water-based suspending surfactant called Tragacanth extract,which could be introduced as a practical substitute for industrial nanoparticles'stabilizers in oil industry.After CMC determination of Henna extract surfactant,the optimal concentration of Tragacanth extract surfactant,with the purpose of nano-surfactants’stabilization,was determined through particle size and zeta potential tests.Results of interfacial tension(IFT)measurements showed that the increase of Henna extract concentration from 0 wt%to 10 wt%reduced IFT between kerosene and water from 37.23 to 15.24 mN/m.Furthermore,adding 1 wt%of synthesized TiO2 nanoparticle to the Henna extract surfactant at its CMC value reduced IFT from 18.43 to 14.57 mN/m.As an impact of this significant reduction in IFT value,oil recovery factor could be improved drastically during EOR operations.Results proved that TiO2 nano-surfactant was as effective as industrial surfactants,which put human's and environment's health at risk and impose heavy economic strain on governments.Pouya Tavakoli Seyed Reza Shadizadeh Farzan Hayati Moslem Fattahi 2020Petroleum2020,6,3:1
