Cenozoic tectono-sedimentary characteristics and extension model of the Northwest Sub-basin,South China Sea显示文摘Based on the interpretations of three seismic profiles and one wide-angle seismic profile across the Northwest Sub-basin,South China Sea.stratigraphic sequences, deformation characteristics and an extension model for this sub-basin have been worked out.Three tectonic-stratigraphic units are determined.Detailed analyses of extension show that the event occurred mainly during the Paleogene and resulted in the formation of half-grabens or grabens distributed symmetrically around the spreading center.Sediments are characterized by chaotic and discontinuous reflectors, indicating clastic sediments. Farther to the southwest, the sub-basin features mainly continental rifting instead of sea-floor spreading. The rifting would have been controlled by the shape of the massif and developed just along the northern edge of the Zhongsha-Xisha Block, rather than joined the Xisha Trough. After 25 Ma.a southward ridge jump triggered the opening of the Southwest Sub-basin.The NW-directed stress caused by the sea-floor spreading of the Northwest Sub-basin may have prevented the continuous opening of the sub-basin.After that the Northwest Sub-basin experienced thermal cooling and exhibited broad subsidence. The deep crustal structure shown by the velocity model from a wide-angle seismic profile is also symmetrical around the spreading center, which indicates that the Northwest Sub-basin might have opened in a pure shear model. | Weiwei Ding Mingbi Li Lihong Zhao Aiguo Ruan Zhenli Wu | 2011 | Geoscience Frontiers2011,2,4: | 9
The formation and tectonic evolution of Philippine Sea Plate and KPR显示文摘The Philippine Sea Plate has an extremely special tectonic background. As an oceanic plate,it is almost entirely surrounded by subduction zones with complex internal tectonic features. On the basis of enormous published literature, this paper offers a comprehensive overview of the tectonic and evolution history of the Philippine Basin and the Kyushu-Palau Ridge(KPR) in the Philippine Sea Plate, and discusses the geological features of KPR. Referring to relevant definitions of various 'ridges' stipulated in United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea,so the KPR is believed to be a remnant arc formed during the opening of the Parece Vela and Shikoku Basins in the Philippine Sea Plate. It is a submarine ridge on oceanic plate rather than a submarine elevation. And thus,it is not a natural component of the Japan continental margin. | FANG Yinxia LI Jiabiao LI Mingbi DING Weiwei ZHANG Jie | 2011 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2011,30,4: | 8
The geomorphological features and continuity of the Kyushu-Palau Ridge (KPR)显示文摘The Philippine Basin, surrounded by a series of oceanic trenches,is an independent deep ocean basin in the West Pacific Ocean. Its middle part is divided into three marginal sea sub-basins by the Kyushu-Palau and West Mariana Ridges, namely, the West Philippine Basin, the Shikoku and Parece Vela Basins and the Mariana Trough. This paper, through the analysis of the geomorphologic features and gravity and magnetic characteristics of the basin and identification of striped magnetic anomalies, suggests that the entire Philippine Basin developed magnetic lineation of oceanic nature, and therefore, the entire basin is of the nature of oceanic crust. The basin has developed a series of special geomorphic units with different shapes. The KPR runs through the entire Philippine Basin. From the view of geomorphologic features, the KPR is a discontinuous seamount chain (chain-shaped seamounts) and subduction beneath the Japanese Island arc at the Nankai Trough which is the natural boundary between the basin and the Japanese Island arc.At the positions of 25 N,24 N,23 N and 18 N,obvious discontinuity is shown, which belongs to natural topographic discontinuity. Therefore, the KPR is topographically discontinuous. | TANG Yong LI Mingbi LI Jiabiao WU Zhaocai | 2011 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2011,30,5: | 7
Preliminary considerations on the potential influence of submarine fans on marine delimitation显示文摘The complex issues associated with marine delineation for the outer limit of continental shelf and the boundary delimitation have provoked considerable attention among researchers in a variety of academic circles, particularly in the juristic filed and the geo-science field. In the present contribution,we start from an overview of submarine fans,as one of common types of sediment-deposit bodies in the ocean, and explore the related geological features which may be of relevance to the marine delimitation in accordance with the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.We carry out a comparative assessment of certain significant geological features of submarine fans, using the Bengal fan as an example, which is the biggest submarine fan in the world and represents an important factor in the maritime boundary dispute between the neighboring states currently. The relationship between the special geological bodies and the international principle in the 1982 United Nations Convention can be established by combining geological and juristic analyses. This preliminary observation on the effect of submarine bodies both on the marine entitlement and boundary delimitation indicates that it is important for the international society to appropriately deal with this problem so that the marine right of any state can be protected. | QIU Wenxian JIN Xianglong SCHOFIELD Clive LI Mingbi | 2013 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,12: | 2

A PROMISING MODERN DEVELOPMENT ZONE显示文摘The Anqing Economic and Technology Development Zone, approved by the provincial government in April1993,covers 7.2 square kilometres,2.7 square kilometres of which was developed in the first stage. This firststage which is close to operation, engages mainly in the development of new and hi-tech industries and export-oriented trade. The development zone, with its superior geographic location, benefits development.Located to the north of theold urban area,it is not far from railway station on the north and faces scenic lake to the south. With the He’an Highwayto the west,National Highway 206 and a railway to the east, the airport and the Yangtze River port are less than fourkilometres away. Its infrastructure construction was achieved in the most economical and effective manner. The developmentzone takes full advantage of the existing three power transmission substations, two water supply pipelines, one | Cha Mingbi,Vice-Mayor of Anqing | 1996 | China's Foreign Trade1996,,8: | 0
X-ray Manifestations of Pneumoconiosis Patients and Differential Analysis with Pulmonary Tuberculosis显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to explore the X-ray manifestations of pneumoconiosis patients and differentiation from pulmonary tuberculosis.[Methods]Retrospective analysis was conducted on 103 patients who underwent lung examinations, including 47 cases of pneumoconiosis and 56 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis. The differences in nodule characteristics and accompanying cavity sign between pneumoconiosis and pulmonary tuberculosis were compared.[Results]The X-ray manifestations of pneumoconiosis patients mainly included various forms of lung images, which were uneven in density, and had blurry edges, and sometimes thickening of lung markings and reduction of lung volume could be observed. The acinar nodules observed in X-ray films of patients with hematogenous disseminated pulmonary tuberculosis appeared petal like. The uniformity of nodule appearance such as nodule distribution, nodule density, and nodule size was significantly lower in pneumoconiosis than in hematogenous disseminated pulmonary tuberculosis, showing a statistical significance(P<0.05).The diameter of cavities in patients with pneumoconiosis accompanied by cavity sign[(0.64±0.13 vs 3.37±0.95)cm]was lower than that in patients with secondary pulmonary tuberculosis accompanied by cavity sign. There was a significant difference in the thickness of the cavity wall between the two diseases, and patients with pneumoconiosis accompanied by cavity sign had a higher rate of thick wall cavities(>3 mm).The X-ray manifestations of pneumoconiosis and tuberculosis were relatively similar, but the distribution, density and size of nodules in pneumoconiosis were relatively uneven, and the patients accompanied by cavity sign had smaller cavity diameter and higher rate of thick-walled cavities.[Conclusions]This study provides a reference for the clinical differential diagnosis of pneumoconiosis and pulmonary tuberculosis. | Gaocai XIONG Yuanfeng YANG Wei ZHANG Mingbi LYU Tingqian LIU | 2023 | Agricultural Biotechnology2023,12,3: | 0
