FAIR Principles:Interpretations and Implementation Considerations显示文摘The FAIR principles have been widely cited, endorsed and adopted by a broad range of stakeholders since their publication in 2016.By intention, the 15 FAIR guiding principles do not dictate specific technological implementations, but provide guidance for improving Findability,Accessibility,Interoperability and Reusability of digital resources. This has likely contributed to the broad adoption of the FAIR principles, because individual stakeholder communities can implement their own FAIR solutions. However,it has also resulted in inconsistent interpretations that carry the risk of leading to incompatible implementations. Thus, while the FAIR principles are formulated on a high level and may be interpreted and implemented in different ways, for true interoperability we need to support convergence in implementation choices that are widely accessible and(re)-usable.We introduce the concept of FAIR implementation considerations to assist accelerated global participation and convergence towards accessible, robust, widespread and consistent FAIR implementations.Any self-identified stakeholder community may either choose to reuse solutions from existing implementations,or when they spot a gap, accept the challenge to create the needed solution, which, ideally, can be used again by other communities in the future. Here,we provide interpretations and implementation considerations(choices and challenges)for each FAIR principle. | Annika Jacobsen Ricardo de Miranda Azevedo Nick Juty Dominique Batista Simon Coles Ronald Cornet Melanie Courtot Merce Crosas Michel Dumontier Chris T.Evelo Carole Goble Giancarlo Guizzardi Karsten Kryger Hansen Ali Hasnain Kristina Hettne Jaap Heringa Rob W.W.Hooft Melanie Imming Keith G.Jeffery Rajaram Kaliyaperumal Martijn GKersloot Christine R.Kirkpatrick Tobias Kuhn Ignasi Labastida Barbara Magagna PeterMcQuilton Natalie Meyers Annalisa Montesanti Mirjam van Reisen Philippe Rocca-Serra Robert Pergl Susanna-Assunta Sansone Luiz Olavo Bonino da Silva Santos Juliane Schneider George Strawn Mark Thompson Andra Waagmeester Tobias Weigel Mark D.Wilkinson Egon L.Willighagen Peter Wittenburg Marco Roos Barend Mons Erik Schultes | 2020 | Data Intelligence2020,2,1: | 26
Benign retroperitoneal schwannoma presenting as colitis:A case report显示文摘We report a case of a patient presenting with clinical, radiological and endoscopic features of colitis due to a compressive left para-aortic mass. Total open surgical excision was performed, which resulted in complete resolution of colitis. Histopathology and immunohistochemistry revealed benign retroperitoneal schwannoma. These neural sheath tumors rarely occur in the retroperitoneum. They are usually asymptomatic but as they enlarge they may compress adjacent structures, which leads to a wide spectrum of non-specific symptoms, including lumbar pain, headache, secondary hypertension, abdominal pain and renal colicky pain. CT and MR findings show characteristic features, but none are specific. Schwannoma can be isolated sporadic lesions,or associated with schwannomatosis or neurofibromatosis type Ⅱ (NF2). Although they vary in biological and clinical behavior, their presence is,in nearly every case, due to alterations or absence of the NF2 gene, which is involved in the growth regulation of Schwann cells. Both conditions were excluded by thorough mutation analysis. Diagnosis is based on histopathological examination and immunohistochemistry. Total excision is therapeutic and has a good prognosis. Schwannomatosis and NF2 should be excluded through clinical diagnostic criteria. Genetic testing of NF2 is probably not justified in the presence of a solitary retroperitoneal schwannoma. | Gary Fass Didier Hossey Michel Nyst Dirk Smets Esmail Najar Saligheh Ruth Duttmann Kathleen Claes Pierre Mendes da Costa | 2007 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2007,13,41: | 5
Acaricidal activity of Derris floribunda essential oil and its main constituent显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the acaricidal activity of the essential oil obtained from roots of Derris floribunda(D. floribunda)(Miq.) Benth, and its main constituent nerolidol against the Mexican mite Tetranychus mexicanus(T. mexicanus)(Mc Gregor). Methods: The essential oil from the roots of D. floribunda collected in the Amazon region(Brazil) was obtained by hydrodistillation. Its chemical composition was determined by GC–MS analysis. The acaricidal activities of this essential oil and nerolidol, were evaluated by recording the number of dead females(mortality) and eggs(fertility). Results: The essential oil showed sesquiterpenes as major volatile components. Nerolidol, the main component, represented 68.5% of the total composition of the essential oil. D. floribunda essential oil and nerolidol showed acaricidal activity, with LC_(50) of9.61 mg/m L air and 9.2 mg/m L air, respectively, over a 72 h period. In addition, both the essential oil and nerolidol significantly reduced the fecundity of T. mexicanus. Conclusions: Due to the economic importance of T. mexicanus and the lack of new pesticides, our data are very promising in the search for efficient and safer acaricidal products. Furthermore, this is the first report about the chemical composition and bioactivity of the essential oil of the Amazon plant species D. floribunda. | Ana Claudia Fernandes Amaral Aline de SRamos Marcia Reis Pena Jose Luiz Pinto Ferreira Jean Michel SMenezes Geraldo JNVasconcelos Neliton Marques da Silva Jefferson Rocha de Andrade Silva | 2017 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2017,7,9: | 2
Grain-size end-members and environmentally sensitive grain-size components: A comparative study in the mud shelf depocenters off southern Brazil显示文摘The current study aims to do a comparative analysis of the results obtained with two End-Member(EM)grain-size modeling techniques(AnalySize and BasEMMA)and the Environmental Sensitive Grain-Size(ESGS)modeling for sediment samples collected in the mudbelts of the southern Brazilian shelf. The methods were compared using grain-size data from the south Brazilian shelf, and the results are discussed here.It is the first time that the concept of ESGS,in its present form,is utilized outside China. The results show that despite its relative ease of use,the ESGS is not fully comparable to the EM analyses, and only two grain-size ESGS classes were recognized as analogous to EMs.The comparison of the AnalySize and BasEMMA procedures also revealed significant differences between the techniques.A comparative analysis between the two EM techniques revealed advantages in the BasEMMA,especially in the better correlation of the end-members with the original grain size distribution. The analysis of the geographical distribution of the EM abundances allowed point sources of sandy populations to be recognized as well as the contribution of the Rio de la Plata as a source of silty sediments to be inferred. | Michel Michaelovitch de Mahiques Samara Cazzoli y Goya Maria Carolina da Silva Nogueira de Matos Rodrigo Augusto Udenal de Oliveira Bianca Sung Mi Kim Paulo Alves de Lima Ferreira Rubens Cesar Lopes Figueira Marcia Caruso Bícego | 2021 | International Journal of Sediment Research2021,36,2: | 2

Distributed Analytics on Sensitive Medical Data:The Personal Health Train显示文摘In recent years,as newer technologies have evolved around the healthcare ecosystem, more and more data have been generated.Advanced analytics could power the data collected from numerous sources, both from healthcare institutions,or generated by individuals themselves via apps and devices, and lead to innovations in treatment and diagnosis of diseases;improve the care given to the patient;and empower citizens to participate in the decision-making process regarding their own health and well-being.However,the sensitive nature of the health data prohibits healthcare organizations from sharing the data. The Personal Health Train(PHT)is a novel approach, aiming to establish a distributed data analytics infrastructure enabling the(re)use of distributed healthcare data, while data owners stay in control of their own data. The main principle of the PHT is that data remain in their original location, and analytical tasks visit data sources and execute the tasks. The PHT provides a distributed, flexible approach to use data in a network of participants, incorporating the FAIR principles. It facilitates the responsible use of sensitive and/or personal data by adopting international principles and regulations. This paper presents the concepts and main components of the PHT and demonstrates how it complies with FAIR principles. | Oya Beyan Ananya Choudhury Johan van Soest Oliver Kohlbacher Lukas Zimmermann Holger Stenzhorn Md.Rezaul Karim Michel Dumontier Stefan Decker Luiz Olavo Bonino da Silva Santos Andre Dekker | 2020 | Data Intelligence2020,2,1: | 1
